But in this case, you'll spend $5 more for this promo and save $10 in the long run, even if you already paid for the first bit. The next two pieces are story related and related to each other so I doubt you'd want to skip just one.

That is pretty sound logic. I forgot that this is one of the only season passes that saves you more than $10 in the long run. Will think on it, but it really all comes down to what sales/releases are coming in the next few weeks.

Yeah, I'm hoping it's limited to cosmetic stuff. I'd probably lose all interest if people could just pay to unlock weapons, cars and perks like in BF3. I don't understand how that's fun.

A sneak preview to what's sure to be critics' top pick for film of the year.

 
Lone Survivor is in the shop, but only for PS3 and there doesn't appear to be a PS+ discount. It's $12.99. But it says you also get the Vita version, so maybe I just saw it while it was updating and this will change.

Oh, and it says it is 397 MB. Somewhere I saw some claim the game on PC was less than 100 MB.

Thinking about buying them Dead or Alive 5 Ultimate costumes with the $10 back when spent $50 promo. To get all of them to date, the total comes out to be about $70. Even with the $10 back, that's still $60 just for them costumes. Can't believe they keep charging for such a high prices. This is one game where they should have a season pass for like $40 and entitled it's purchasers to get all future DLCs.

I think the only valid criticism that can be made about David Cage & Quantic Dream is not that they make interactive movies, but that they make bad interactive movies. And even that's subjective.

There's plenty of room in this medium for the occasional interactive movie.

I thoroughly enjoyed both Fahrenheit and Heavy Rain and I'm looking forward to Beyond.

I think it's best to focus mainly on titles that are on sale, and get anything that's been on US PSN for more than a month in the last week. Furthermore, we learn of US Plus' October offerings next week, so all things considered, aside from getting a 1 year sub or pre-ordering games on US PSN, it's better to just wait until Monday, learn what's a Plus freebie and start purchasing from that date.

It's actually best to wait until Oct. 28th before buying anything that isn't on sale.

Hmm problem is as some US PSN users aren't from US, they may not have time to finalize all their purchases on the 28th, then again I would still have time to buy any other stuff even after the November Plus freebies are announced, but I don't want to take the risk...

 
Hope they dont make the CE stuff purchaseable. Would suck for those who brought it or the DLC

That was pretty much one of the only things of value in it.

I'm torn about this PSN promotion. On the one had I want them to have sales like they were in July where I was spending crazy money; on the other it was getting nice not having to buy anything off PSN for a couple weeks now.

Well I think we all saw that coming when GTAO was announced as a separate product that they were going to attach it to GTAV initially and then transition it to an ongoing service with paid content. There's a ton of people that will probably drop thousands of dollars on it and they can keep making money while they spend 5-6 years making the next one.

Cool that they're having an AC sale, too bad that it's all still too much compared to their physical counterparts. I think I saw GS was doing a b1g1 on all non-ac3 used titles? and ac3 is once again $10 from gamefly today.

Been yutzing with Beyond Two Souls for a bit this afternoon. While I heard it would be using a revised form of the Heavy Rain engine, I'm surprised how everything feels a bit visually flat in comparison.

Hope they dont make the CE stuff purchaseable. Would suck for those who brought it or the DLC

That was pretty much one of the only things of value in it.



Rockstar released the Max Payne 3 LE DLC and Gearbox did for Borderlands 2 and I believe I've seen other examples. It's nothing new.

I've been trying to stay away from buying LEs lately. The BL2 was the last one I bought and only because I really wanted the bobblehead to go with my FO3 Vault Boy one :)

I haven't been tracking PS3 exclusive release dates or what's coming as digital, but I would consider buying Beyond or FFX HD or Kingdom Hearts HD digitally if they come out by the end of October. Though I'll probably be a cheap ass and wait for $20 discounted discs in the next year. Otherwise, I'm thinking of renewing my PS+ subscription for the equivalent of $10 off that BestBuy has been offering. Between possibly buying Rain for $15 and whatever deals there are in the next month I'll probably spend around $50 anyways. Might as well get money back!

I might have bit on Liberation if they didn't just announce the HD remake. Although something tells me the main appeal of that game was how impressive it was for a handheld. Will probably be kind of a slog no a console (where you could just play the superior main titles). I will wait for $10 for a physical copy or, better yet, free with PS+.

I doubt Kingdom Hearts will hit PSN any time soon. For some reason, digital versions of most those games just don't exist.

 
I "purchased' Rayman Origins. Not sure I'll ever play it on the Vita as we have it on the 360 and I had the most fun with it coop, but I might as well get it in my PS+ account just in case....

 
See some sales on full games popping up. Nothing too special. Deadly Premonition is $24.99 which might interest some people with the spend and save promo going on.

Make sure you watch a few gameplay videos first. The PS3 version has some worst framerate problems I've seen on the platform. The cutscenes aren't so bad, but once the actual gameplay begins that's when the framerate starts to fall apart.

Urban Trials Freestyle is a lot of fun on Vita.  I know it got a good amount of negativity because it was considered a cheap Trials knock-off, but it's good enough quality and lots of fun for what it is.  That type of short burst gameplay is also perfect for the Vita.

 
Hopefully Urban Trails Freestyle has a demo.  I may consider that for Vita for $5.

EDIT: I lied.  I may look into some Assassin's Creed DLC as well.

Oh, and it says it is 397 MB. Somewhere I saw some claim the game on PC was less than 100 MB.

On the cross buy games, the file size includes both downloads total. The PS3 version is 192 MB and the Vita version is 205 MB.
