Now I'm really torn on getting the Walking Dead Game of the Year Edition or buying the digital season pass and the DLC.

Might get Fatal Frame I and II.  Debating on the disc version versus the digital version on a lot of what is going on sale.

Kind of wish the Sleeping Dogs DLC was offered separately at a discounted PS+ price.  Already have the game from the Instant Game Collection.

Does it mean that all the purchases are totaled only after Oct 29th and then the credit is sent out ?

I remember the Uncharteds had similar initial loads. Not as long of course, but it's not surprising to me given they got longer with each release and TLoU likely runs the same engine. I never found it too big a hassle personally, or at least I prefered it to having the game interrupted by shorter load screens.

They will send you PM to your PS3 which has an attachment, click the link and it fills in a code for you which redeems for the amount of credit they owe you. That credit is then added to your wallet. If you don't have a PS3 (only a vita) I believe they email it to you. It is not a buy $50, get $10 off your purchase, it is buy $50 worth, get a $10 credit by early November to use for a future purchase.

I gotta admit, that is pretty confusing. I mean, when is November 8th? Is it before or after October 29th? And what the fuck is "email?" I think Sony could have handled this much better.

Instead of being snarky and wasting your time saying all that, couldn't you be more useful by making a sensible post ? "by Nov 8" could also mean on or before that. I wanted to know if it's before that so that I could make some purchases accordingly.

I recently realized that hard copies of Technika Tune are no longer available (except on eBay) so I figure now's as good a time as any to buy it through PSN (along with a couple of Pinball tables to reach the $50 limit.)

 
Yeah I just beat TLOU and GTAV and those start up loading screens took forever, but id rather that then constant loading between areas. That's usually my chill n get my drink on time anyway, so im not missing much. I just hate if I hit x for online start up, walk away, chillax, come back and im getting killed over n over by randoms costing me $2000 a death. lol. and omg i heard gtav online players get $500,000 that's crazy.

also 33.74 for walking dead survival instinct... wow. that was flip fodder. easy/not really plat. i think it was 20 new on amazon last year. crazy. also i rented tlou, but wow, that's expensive too!

Lol also look at my last 8 trophies. thats what happens when you go from playing on easy to survivor +, i got 7 pings in a row = easy+, normal, normal+, hard, hard+, survivor, survivor + after credits ;)

The game was harder on survivor then on easy, but im glad i didn't have to play it 8 times!

 I wouldv got the plat, but rental and no online pass, doh. ill buy again when super cheap but this game was taking forever to drop and i wanted to get it done with, lol.

Most I ever had was 4 I think with MGS Peace Walker. Not including cross plat games like Sly and Sound Shapes.

 
Going to get RE Revelations and Walking Dead Vita. That put me at $15 away from $100 this month, so decided to get Star Wars Pinball 2 and Alien Breed Trilogy.

I've played both versions and while I noticed some changes, they were mostly small, and nothing that would make the game feel like a neutered experience. Hard copies of the game are found fairly cheap these days, but if there's anyone who is interested in the game and likes the sale price, don't be scared off by the censorship. It's an excellent game, and well worth 10/20 dollars.

Good news for you. The ps4 controller definitely works on the ps3, although I don't know if all games will immediately be supported. So you can use the best controller ever made to work on your backlog lol

Regarding the N.A. psn version of Siren Blood Curse a lot of the gore and violence is censored, in both cutscenes and gameplay. Cuts and filters are used like on some guy that shoots his head off with a shotgun. I stopped reading about the cuts due to spoilers. Only maximum carnage can quell my bloodlust :evil: :twisted:

It's usually a quick turnaround. XBL is the one that takes 6-8 weeks to get rewards to you for their promos.

No. Just grab Episode One, which had a permanent price drop to Free and grab 400 Days. You really don't want to do that if you haven't played the season, as it's a bridge between the first and second seasons.

No. If the core IGC titles are replaced, which is likely, they won't be replaced until the second half of November. They wouldn't appear on the Last Chance list until the middle of November. You'll likely know what's replacing them on November 1, when it's likely that they'll announce November's PS+ titles.

Well one is a Activision published game, so expecting a good discount on digital from them is setting yourself up for disappointment.

Too bad the Dead Island 1 DLC isn't on sale for $1-2, I'd be willing to pick it up at that price.

 
It's pretty irritating how there's always a House of the Dead bundle sale and not the games individually...I already have HotD 3 and Overkill, I just want 4. >_<

Gotcha.  My upper limit is $10 on digital versions of disc games, and usually I prefer $5-$7.  Anything more than that and I sometimes end up regretting my purchase.  But I was all over HotD Overkill for $5.  Would have been all over Dead Island for $5 this sale but I already have it.

Is RDR online cool?  I never really played it, but I'm tempted to replay that game since I love it.  And if the online MP is cool, does the DLC add anything?  I already know the Undead Nightmare DLC is amazing, but is the rest of the paid DLC good at all?

 
So Last of Us as a digital download on ps4 seems pretty inevitable.

But does anyone think that buying the ps3 version in this sale will mean that we eventually get the ps4 version free like Sony is doing with Flower and some other games? At least the single player?

I didn't enjoy RDR online at all. Too many people there purely to grief and bully. The auto aim rendered it pointless. I might have had a better experience in a posse and/or closed lobby, though.

Why does it seem inevitable? This is the first I've even heard of this.
 
looking to pick up last of us + season pass...question if i buy 50+20 PSN card and redeem them and use them to purchase 50$ worth of stuff will i still get 10$ back or it has to be direct transaction PSN with your cc....

The source of the money doesn't matter as long as the purchase uses the PSN wallet, so you're covered with the cards.

 
I remember looking forward to RE5 for a long time. When I played it, I was unimpressed. I wasn't a huge fan on the co-op bit. I like co-op as an option, but not how it is was built in that. Eh, and Chris was annoying to me. 

On that note, I really wish RE1-3 were also on sale. Been wanting to play through 3 because I never have.

I am also excited with Fatal Frame, but I am not going to buy it, because I just don't see myself ever taking time to actually play it. Good in theory I suppose.

Well if having any PS3 game be backwards compatible isn't something they're doing that means Naughty Dog is going to have to take all that time and money to make the engine work with the PS4 and then optimize and QA it. I just can't see there being enough sales there to make that profitable when they can instead put out DLC and work on their new game.

Hmmm....that sucks. I mostly would want to just complete the hideouts/missions/whatever and it sounds like griefers would make that very frustrating.

It just hit the video game media a few days ago that TLoU on PS4 was unlikely.

this is true. the first month or so it was fun when people were still figuring it out. then it got awful. so very awful. the coop missions are probably still fun and provide some challenging/fun (?) trophies for whatever that's worth. still, expect frustration if you wander online.

I still love red dead redemption, but I don't think I could ever play it again.
 
just to be on the other side, i really dug rdr online, but didnt touch the single player yet.

I only did it for a week tho or so when it was x3 xp and i had a full posse and got all the trophies like traveling the whole map in a day and full posse trophy and do all hideouts in one session. we were just bad ass and i was the leader and it was good ;)

That was years ago tho, and with how fast gtav online turned to griefers, i imagine thats all that is left unless you close session...

 my posse was all randoms but i got crazy lucky and they were all civil/nice/helpful.

 
I just realized my ps+ is about to expire. I haven't been really following this thread lately. Is that 10$ rebate thing still going on and if so is it immediate? Or are there cheaper ways to order PS+? I know Best Buy has deals once in awhile. And dang it....

BBY is still selling a year card for $40 (the three month is discounted as well) for RZ members. The $10 back offer is fine but requires you to pay $50 out and you'll get the $10 sometime between now and Nov 8.
