I had the password issue as well.  Not sure what caused it, but I am back in now.  I found out about it on Kotaku, but it would have been nice to be notified from Sony.

Hopefully it's super cheap for the Vita version when Amazon runs it on lightning deal.

It's not nearly as clear as it ought to be.

 
No Ys previews, reviews, interviews...hell, nothing. And playing ACIV on last gen hardware is a tragedy. Framerate got so bad at times that it felt like stop motion. Not to mention the frequent screen tearing. Same with LEGO Marvel (to a lesser extent, of course).  :cry: I imagine NFS Rivals and other open worlds are the same. Planned obsolescence...maybe?

Well that's generally not a good sign but it's also very niche here. Have you sought out some stuff on the Japanese version?

I doubt it was too intentional since that's still the bulk of those game sales but it happens most of the time where one generation or the other suffers.

Also your avatar is way too understated now.

Should have grabbed Puppeteer when it was on sale a couple of weeks back. It's really really good.

Is Tearaway a lot like LBP in terms of gameplay? I love LBP Vita, and if Tearaway is similar, I'll have to get it when it goes on sale.

I can't even imagine playing AC4 on ps3 now - doing any of the sea warfare stuff with screen tearing/slowdown would be soooo frustrating.

At least in-store at BBY both Tearaway and Puppeteer are still on sale for $29.99 and $19.99 respectively. Even cheaper if you are GCU. Just throwing out other cheap options. ;)

I can not speak to AC 4, but I had no issues with LEGO Marvel. In fact, I commented to a friend how good it looked. I kind of half expected slow downs at times (like with the Sandman boss battle) but I never had an issue.

 
When does the store update? And can I use Paypal on the PS store? Also, for the spend $60, get $10 back...I bought Halo 4 at Best Buy for $20...will that count towards my $60?

The store's already updated. They always update it early afternoonish and then release a psn blog post about it 3 hours later.

 
Does anyone know exactly which retailers will be doing the $29.99 1-year PS+ deal? I've been looking around, but so far I'm just hearing "select" retailers. I'm really hoping Amazon jumps in so I don't have to actually leave the house for this on Friday...

I don't know, considering Chronicles includes both Ys I&II that seems pretty decent to me. I've been playing I on PC lately and really liking it. The music, art, and story are so far very well done and as someone who rarely plays JRPGs the streamlined mechanics are perfect for me. I'm still early on, but I'd certainly not hesitate to recommend them.

But then again I'm replying to Slidecage, so why do I even bother?

I don't know, considering Chronicles includes both Ys I&II that seems pretty decent to me. I've been playing I on PC lately and really liking it. The music, art, and story are so far very well done and as someone who rarely plays JRPGs the streamlined mechanics are perfect for me. I'm still early on, but I'd certainly not hesitate to recommend them.

But then again I'm replying to Slidecage, so why do I even bother?

well seems overpriced when i got the Ys 1&2 limited ed off gamefly a few years back for 9

would of grabbed them all for 5 ...7.50 each i need to repower up my PSP to see if its worth a flip from psp to vita.

though just found out most of the ones i have are still sealed limited ed. ones. Maybe i sell a few of them and grab these

And wow... never realized how fugly Amy was until all of you started playing it at the same time. We're not putting her face on the currency, are we? I swear, if we did that no would ever want to buy anything.

It's pretty but offers very little challenge. With so many strategy rpgs out there it never managed to really stand out on PS2 but since you don't see many now maybe it's more worthy.

You can look up reviews out there if you require but you asked a question and I answered. I didn't think you played games anyway just used them to flip and make money with how you treat the gamestop trading thread.

 
Considering you can only get $10 back once you would think it would be a better deal than the previous $50 unlimited promotion, not a worse deal. So if they don't have a BF store update then that only leaves next Tuesday store update to have a shot to reach $60.

 
At 7.50, I might almost buy Ys I and II again just because the soundtrack is that good all by itself.

Ys Seven is a game I would play on Hard mode right away, and Oath is a game I would play on Normal mode to start in case that helps anyone.  Ys Seven is pretty easy, and Oath of Felghana's bosses are...not so much.  :)

So which of those three would you recommend to someone that's never played any of the Ys games? They look fairly tempting and if they run a BF sale and if I needed a few dollars more for the $10 back I might grab one.

 
I don't need to prove im more of a jerk than I already am (disc only tradeins, flipping, etc) but yeah, Iv redeemed all 3 cross buy games from gamefly (sly, ratchet, ps allstars). woot free vita games. 

also soul sacrifice from 8/20 $18 sale, still on my ps3 waiting to be transferred to vita. fail

doh and i just used my $5 gamefly coupon a few days ago. more fail

I held on to beyond a few days too long, 3 days ago flipped for 35 at bb, now 17. argh. i really dont want to keep this game, but i dont want to take such a huge loss also. argh

No, haven't. I generally wait for Western impressions of localized stuff since those make note of any improvements. I just want to know how it looks and plays - only recently found out it wasn't turned base, so my interest has definitely piqued.

No, you're right, LEGO isn't too bad. It can get really janky in co-op or whenever there's a lot of townspeople around, though. And I'm pretty sure it isn't running at a native resolution. I watched a bit of cheapyd's stream and you can see the difference. But, yeah, still a great game. Speaking of which, I didn't know there was a LEGO Movie The Game coming soon.
