I officially suck at non-Mario-Kart drifting. Those tight corners in Grid 2 are tough to navigate with how I play driving games. Online race was basically me crashing into people trying to turn, then watching them speed off.

$15 for Battle Fantasia? Come on, it's a long dead poverty game, and the best they can offer is 25% off?
It was free* if you were a Playstation Plus member before IGC was introduced. I believe it was Feb. 2012 when Sony put the game up for free*.

(Note: I have "Asterisk" the Free words since some douchebags here consider PS Plus games a rental....don't care really, I'm a PS Plus member until 2018...thank you $29.99 Black Friday deal)

Grabbed FF14, Army of Two, Terraria, Rainbow Moon, Puddle, and the three Ys games last night.  Hopefully the order was placed during the 10off60...If so I couldn't be much more happier.  4 PS3 games, and 5 PSVita games for 50ish.

Ah, ok. I actually downloaded that last week. Tried it, but didn't like the combat. Wasn't feeling it, which is a shame because I heard great things about it.
KoA is supposed to have fantastic combat. It's also not an MMORPG, unlike FF14, so you don't have that monthly payment nonsense.

Ditto! Seriously, it's that same shit Codies has been doing for decades...I just thought with GRID 2 they would have made the handling a bit more realistic. NOPE! Turn coming up? In a "race car"? Drift it to maximize speed potential!

It's basically a slightly LESS arcade-y version of Ridge Racer...and that's sad.

Okay, here's my dilemma: that's a pretty good price for Ni No Kuni which I've been wanting to backlog for a while and I have about $20 in PSN credit. However, I don't have (and it would be pretty difficult for me to get) 42-odd Gb of free space on my PS3 120Gb Slim. I also don't really play on my PS3 enough to justify spending $50-70 of real-world money on a 500Gb hard drive. So should I jump on this deal now or wait for the Blu-ray version to drop to $10 in 6-12 months?

I'd say go for the disc. It was already $9.99 on Namco's website last week. MSRP is now $20 so I don't think that'll be a rare occurrence. 22 GB (~40 to install) is quite a bit for a 120GB HDD, and the game is long as hell so it isn't like it'll be a temporary loss of space.

If its going into your backlog for awhile, just wait for another deal on the disc copy.

It's a beautiful game and a must play if you like RPGs. However, it is an about a 45-50 hr play through and an 80 hr plat. That's a long time to be taking up 30% of your HDD. I bought the game at 19.99 with no regrets. Get a physical copy new or second hand if you want to plat the game. Or... Start working on that PS3 backlog and remove games from your HDD as you beat them. Once you have the space, DL Ni No Kuni and enjoy this visual masterpiece. There is no guarantee that it will drop to $10 for a physical copy any time soon. Just pull the trigger already!

Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen.

You must be doing something wrong. Which vocation did you start out with?

Thanks for the tips. As tempting as this is, it seems like I should probably just wait for a cheap price on a physical copy. GameStop will probably drop it to $10 within a year.

Do we know when the free PS Mobile games switch? Or did it already happen? If so, what are the games?
I am glad that SOMEONE can acces this app.

I just keep getting "an error has occurred . (8008103E)" whenever I start it up.

And yes I did look it up, and no it is not a rooted android.

But I still have not found an answer other than it may not be on the Sony list of devices as of a year ago.

I caved and bought Ni no Kuni despite the 40+ hours it will take to beat. The price was right and the game is too beautiful for me to ignore it.

Resogun really has it's hooks in me. I'm currently trying to just finish off the levels. I'm on the last one but man is it a b$^ch! I'm not sure how someone would finish it on the hardest difficulty. I think my eyes would explode, lol. Overall though it's a great example of great gameplay really making a game shine. I grabbed ACIV yesterday and despite having it installed I ended up just playing my free copy of Resogun.

Yeah, the game's awesomely addictive. The bosses become easier once you get used to their patterns. If you want to really pull your hair out play Cave's bullet hell shmups.

I'm playing on Vita. They work fine there.

Quick question, I have a retail copy of FFXIV that I haven't installed yet (mainly waiting for time to devote a good chunk of time to an MMO just so I feel that I can get my $ worth) and I'm curious if buying the digital game at the discount would add an extra month to the subscription or not (more interested in grabbing the collector's edition for $15).

I was able to do this with the collectors edition and standard editions of SWTOR last year.  I'm guessing no, but has anyone tried or know for sure?

I didn't think any of the bosses were too bad as I agree they get easier as you play them a few times. Currently with the last level I've yet to get to the boss. I think I was close a handful of times but they upped the ante in the last stage. Yeah I don't think I'd be into the Bullet Hell games, I always stayed away from them. I feel like with Resogun I at least have a chance of seeing what killed me...lol.

I think I was close a handful of times but they upped the ante in the last stage. Yeah I don't think I'd be into the Bullet Hell games, I always stayed away from them. I feel like with Resogun I at least have a chance of seeing what killed me...lol.
master difficulty is where the bullet hell begins.

Doki-Doki Universe Launching December 10th for PS4, PS3, PS Vita $14.99

Makes sense, currently I'm just playing on Normal\Default difficulty. I'm not sure if I'll ever achieve the zen it must take to conquer Master difficulty...too many games to play...lol.
i know that feel. I only have one trophy left in that game (the beat the game on experienced without losing all lives one), but now I moved on to ac4 and it's a beast of a time sucker.

That P3P discount is just the prompt I needed to ready myself for upcoming Persona releases in 2014. Already bought P4G & P4A from Amazon last week. Gonna take forever...

A bit off-topic...I just system-updated my PS3 to 4.53 and was very surprised to see the addition of closed-captioning support. Now my completely-deaf self can finally play older DVDs (CCs only, no subtitles) via HDMI. Previously, I had to use A/V (composite) to use CCs since HDMI doesn't carry multiple signals (CC is a separate signal, not part of video/audio). Now PS3 plays as a CC decoder and grafts the CC data onto the video/audio signal prior to HDMI transmission. I tested it using one of my 3 Stooges DVDs and it worked! Frosty's one very happy camper here!

Probably irrelevant to most of you but I wanted to bring this FYI up for anyone (with a relative who is) deaf or hard-of-hearing. PS3 just became a more resourceful DVD/BD player than it already is. Thanks, Sony!

I just jumped in my time machine and saw there is no deals next week. A huge asteroid will hit the Earth on Monday morning.
On the one hand: MY BACKLOG!

On the other: I was right and have more games than I'll actually be able to play in my life time!

App's never worked for me across multiple devices, only ever been able to access the mobile stuff from the Vita.

You would just wait for the games to go on sale like you should do now anyway. I doubt they would sell enough if all digital went to higher price points.

does this magically work with games that don't have subtitles? I'm hard of hearing and would love to be able to play the prince of persia games finally x.x

Stupid store. Terraria is in my cart but only showing the regular sale price, not the PS+ price. :( I guess I try again later….

Deleted it and then went to the PS+ page and browsed for it, clicked on the cart icon there and then it showed as $3.75. Purchased! Also "purchased" Grid 2.

Still a stupid store.

No wonder I have no time to play games, I do silly things like spend four days washing and drying all my game cases.
Another perk of digital, no need lol. It's sort of crazy as time goes on I care less and less about any sort of collection or any attachment to games in general. I'm down to about 25 physical games at this point but I want it to be even less. I used to go all out creating cases for my N64 games, GBA games, etc. etc. I have a handful of gems I'll probably keep but most of it is long gone.

I used to be all crazy over things like scratches on handhelds, buying backup systems, etc. etc. Now I just try to play my games at this point.

Don't I wish! I don't think anyone has perfected the voice recognition software/tech to come up with clean captions/subtitles. Look at YouTube's efforts...not quite so good.

I had no idea about HDMI and CC. I've been wondering for years why the hell I never saw CC except for when I watched TV via the antenna. -_-

Wait...when it showed full price you didn't click right through? You actually looked at the price before completing your transaction? What the hell is wrong with you? You don't belong in this thread.

Honestly, I weighed the pros and cons of going through with it. Pay $3.74 extra in order to have the chance to complain in this thread. In the end I decided that it needed a PS+ discount before I'd consider it.

Yeah, it was always the TV's job to decode the CC signal, not the DVD/BD player's. HDMI just blocks that signal. There are some DVDs that have both CCs and subtitles...I'd actually prefer using CCs b/c of their black bars. I loathe trying to read white subtitles (with very thin or no black strokes/edges) during very bright scenes...ugh.

I know we often joke around about "core" features, but look at that! That is awesome, and wouldn't have been considered a priority if Sony only cared to concern itself with the perceived hardcore gamer. The PS3 is a media beast, as was the PS2 in its respective time. I hope that legacy continues.

No wonder I have no time to play games, I do silly things like spend four days washing and drying all my game cases.
You can't just say this and not explain.
