Star ocean wise any input lag is not going to be much of an issue so you will be fine. May cause an issue with near infinite spamming of side kick or aiming device scattering beam.

I'm reasonably far into Days Gone and I'm still enjoying it.  In a way it reminds me of Mad Max - it's a B-grade game that's still a lot of fun to play.  I do recommend hard difficulty as it adds the right level of danger/tension to enemy encounters (and you may soil your pants the first time you run into a horde).  Driving around rural Oregon on a motorcycle (especially in 4K HDR) is a visual treat.  One annoyance you do run into is the game has a bad habit of someone calling you on the radio to come get a mission right after you just left the camp they were in.

Hi all!  I've not been in this thread much since PS3 game sales dried up (on games I wanted anyway), but I just got a PS4 Pro and I've totally not paid attention to the PS side of the hall for a bit and have a few questions.

What's the deal with the PS2 games like Red Faction, Max Payne, Red Dead Revolver, GTA 3/VC/SA?  Are they just ports?  I thought the PS4 didn't do BC or is this their version?

Is there a site where one could check and see the pricing history like storeparser for Xbox?

How about a site for better versions of a game on one system or the other?

Any PS4 specific recommendations?  I already got UC4, UC Collection, Horizon and LoUs and will get Spiderman, GoW and baseball and Days Gone (I know, but I liked it when I played a few hours when I used a free redbox rental).  Are Driveclub and Gran Turismo good?

Is the PS+ Driveclub just a demo?

Someone at Sony screwed up the Driveclub listing in the blog post--it's shown at $5.61 discounted from $7.49 (roughly 25% off), but when added to the cart, the $19.99 Driveclub bundle appears at $14.99, still 25% off but not nearly as low as $5.61. :^o

Picked up Dark Souls II from the Summer Sale. I'm currently playing DS3 with some friends and I've never played DS2.

Bought Crossing Souls and Rise of Kasai from the Retro Sale.

The only game I really want a good sale on is Hand of Fate 2.

I get the point of your post, but sadly this is completely "believable." This is what Sony does all the time. We've seen them have a sale on something and turn around and have a sale the very next week or flash sale with the same exact item for a higher price. I'm sure Microsoft does it too. I'm sure some of it is laziness, some is publishers, and some might even be intentional pricing psychological stuff.

 
I think Sonic Forces got a universal price drop to $19.99. Not saying $10 isn’t a bad price more so that I’d rather just buy it preowned, play it then trade it back.

That’s because the only version listed is the the GH bundle. I would just like to know if I can still continue using my PS+ version of the game with Bikes and season pass after the game is delisted.
 
Yeah, these are all pretty bad prices. I have some VR games on my wishlist, but these discounts aren't enough to sway me. Also at this point, I've burned through almost all of my hundreds of PSN credit that I've been using for the past few years.

I think I'm just going to finish out my PS4 Pro and PSVR library/backlog and not pick up anything else until the PS5 launch in fall 2020. I definitely have enough to last me until then (and beyond, honestly). Then, just evaluate if I'm going to continue in the PlayStation ecosystem for next gen, but it looks unlikely at this point.

Oh, I think I get it.  The sale lasts 4 weeks, so the discounts can't be as deep.  If they made the sale prices better, they wouldn't have enough discount juice to last them the whole 4 weeks.

Is that how it works?

 
Fyi, for all those "thinking about it" fans out there, be aware that not all of the games are on sale for the full four weeks.

The PvZ 2 Standard version for the PS4 for 99 cents for example, only runs till the 6th; while Citizens of Space only runs till the 13th... weird stuff.

Haven't looked at all of them, just noticed these two, figured it would be worth a mention.

I guess Persona 5 will end up being my first PS4 purchase. Seems like one of the few deals that's at least the lowest price. Doesn't look like something I'd usually play but everyone says it's great so worth a try.

Anyone have opinions on the last guardian? I think I'd like but reviews aren't good.
 
Honestly, at this point, I'd wait for P5 The Royal if you have no plans to play it any time soon. Western release is slated for somewhere in 2020 for now.

I’m in a simliar place mentally...though ill probably get a ps5 because of exclusives. I’d be better off with a pc then an xbox unless they offer a “pro” version since it looks more likely to be a multiplatform machine.

I’m not really playing anything online lately and haven’t touched a “free” game in quite some time due to backlog so ps plus is really only offering cloud saves.

I’m also wondering if I really want to buy any games that I think will be ps5 remastered (looking at you last of us 2).

Besides nintendo, I really want new AAA IP ... if ps or ms want to bring that it could easily sway me...tired of sequels and AAA games that take minimal risks.

360 and PS3 was a better gen when it came to new ip besides indie games (which now id prefer to play exclusively on my switch)
