Can you use multiple 30-day PS plus trials on the same account? Destiny 2 is a $1.97 and it comes with a 30-day PS Plus trial. My question is if I would be able to use multiple codes if I buy multiple games. Does it only work if you have never had PlayStation Plus before?

Yeah that's the thing, there is no concrete answer one way or another. In the Walmart thread, some users have claimed they are able to use multiple 30-day trials while others say no you cannot do it.
 
my ps+ has currently lapsed.  I just tried using the code from the D2 insert.  Gives me a confirmation screen, so it looks like it will work for previously-subbed ps+ users.  Not going to use it right now though - already own SotC.

Regardless, it's not worth trying to hunt down clearance D2 copies for this.  Errybody should go thumbs-down iatcg's SD thread on this.

Thank you. No need for me really to hunt down Destiny 2. My local GameStop has copies in stock as does my Target and Walmart. Well, according to their app anyway.

I just got back from GameStop. Bought the last new copy they had for $2.15 with tax. I entered the code and it worked no problem. I'll go on target.com and have them price match since I need another code but thanks for the heads up for the user that posted it and thank you gospel for verifying.

I might want to get a few too, since it annoys me that my PS+ expires right before all the good deals go on sale for Christmas and I hate the idea of paying for a 6 month sub at those prices.

 
Slightly off topic, but hopefully I can get some help with this here.

Today I put in Battlefield V for the first time and let it install, etc., now every game disc that I've tried putting in since has given me the unrecognized disc error, but if I put the BFV disc in, it reads fine.

I've tried all fixes that I've come across and none of them has worked (safe mode > sys update, safe mode > rebuild db, etc.)

Help.

man, that really sucks. when trying the other discs, did you try powering on the PS4 with one of them already inserted? try powering on without a disc inserted? did you try uninstalling BFV?

Yes to all of the above. When leaving the disc in, upon starting up, it would make the same sounds, but ultimately not even show there's a disc inside.

I just tried putting in a brand new game and it read properly + installed. I thought great, it's fixed! Nope. BC I immediately went to try one of the previous games that went unrecognized and got the same error. Putting back the new game that just read properly and installed, got the error as well.

Shit sucks balls bc I wanted to start playing Nioh 2 too.

Based on Google Searches, they say to stand your PS4 vertically. Have you tried that?

My brother’s family Day-1 PS4 ended up doing this. He tried every fix with no solution at all. He ended up selling it as a digital-only PS4 for like $80-100.

since your PS4 seems to be able to read discs at random, it almost sounds like your laser lens is dirty. i haven't had to open up my PS4 and clean it out yet, but i've had to with many other consoles. so, not sure how much work is involved in that option. if that doesn't sound like something you want to do, you could always try using a cleaning disc. you can get one on Amazon for around $10. it will collect dust and lint from inside and would most likely fix your problem without you having to open up your PS4. just search for PS4 lens cleaning disc.

already ordered one last night just in case, but the thing that bugs me the most is that BFV still reads every time with no issues. Also looking into replacing the disc drive, which I want to avoid, but will see if cleaning the lens fixes first.
 
I think the disc drive is married to the motherboard, so you'd have to replace the entire mobo which is like $100, last I checked.
When the disc drive on my first Pro shit the bed (different issue, I think), I just ended up trading it in to GS and getting a brand new one for an extra $50 instead.

Edit: You might be able to solely replace the optical drive but it requires very specific replacement parts and probably won't run nearly as well as the original.

I think the disc drive is married to the motherboard, so you'd have to replace the entire mobo which is like $100, last I checked.
When the disc drive on my first Pro shit the bed (different issue, I think), I just ended up trading it in to GS and getting a brand new one for an extra $50 instead.
Edit: You might be able to solely replace the optical drive but it requires very specific replacement parts and probably won't run nearly as well as the original.

Yes, you can replace the drive, i had to do that on my pro. You just have to make sure you're getting the correct drive.

Both are claimed. Thanks for sharing. I don’t have these and am playing Division 2 currently if there are more to go around.

I have hope it will be with PS4 games. PS1-PS3 like some have rumored just sounds too good to be true. Maybe if the multiple SKUs for PS5 out the gate are true and there is like an $800 one. lol

 
They sell PS1-PS3 games digitally for more than you can physically buy them for, and those physical games are all being sold used from third parties. No way would they make it fully BC with all PS consoles.

Exactly, probably the same reason we got a Xbox Series X dump yesterday as well.

Xbox Series X is impressive, pretty hyped about that machine. Really like that it implements HDR even in old original Xbox games. And the quick resume is fantastic too. Really wonder what Sony is going to bring to the table and hope if they show the box that it isn't that ugly V shaped thing that has been floating around.

To be fair, Xbox has allowed the use of discs.
However, I think that they would only do a select number of titles (like they've been doing for PS2 games already).
If they REALLY wanted some good will, they would port as many of the existing PS1/PSP/PS3 Classic titles as possible and provide it free to existing digital owners.

I remember when Xbox 360 was supposed to be fully BC with OG Xbox. Bought a bunch of Xbox games, thinking I could finally play them, but they didn't work. Had to buy games like Halo and Blinx over again from the Marketplace. Then Xbox One did the same thing with the 360 Halo games, requiring you to own the Halo MCC just to play them. This might be the generation where they actually make good on these promises, but I remain skeptical and think of it as nothing more than marketing hype to drive up initial sales.

my controller no longer charges on my PS4 Pro, it can charge on my laptop
