So it looks like amazon has the mafia collection for $40 on sale. I just looked on PSN, and it’s currently marked as $60. I’m also seeing mafia 2 definitive (stand-alone I guess) for $30. I don’t see mafia 1 by itself on psn.

I really only want mafia 1 and 2 remastered, digitally. I already have 3 and haven’t touched it yet. I LOVED mafia 1 and 2.

Here’s to hoping $40 on psn for al 3. Or that mafia 1 can be purchased on its own.

My digital copy of Mafia III (I got from PSN) updated to the definitive edition this morning, but it still shows as not purchased on the store lol.

Amazon has Mafia: Definitive Edition up for preorder at $40, which is only the remake of the first Mafia.

 
I platinumed Mafia 3.  Not buying the season pass finally pays off now that all the DLC is free.

I’m pretty sure each game is $30 individually (edit: I guess Mafia 1 Remake is $40) or $60 for the trilogy bundle.  I’ll be waiting for a sale price on the trilogy on Xbox.

You're not going to for a couple months, the Mafia 1 remaster doesn't come out until August 28th. If you click into the Trilogy Set, it says you'll get it on that release date.

Ah. I see that I suck at reading and thought it was the trilogy.

So does everyone think 1 and 2 will be buyable individually on psn? Ideally I’d buy Mafia 1 and then months later get Mafia 2 and play through that again.

Edit- my friend Google tells me they will be able to be bought individually.

I question Mafia II and III Definitive being worth $30 each, so I guess I'll bite on the Trilogy whenever it gets cheap enough (even though I already have Mafia III from Plus).
Hopefully Mafia is remade well, as the Mafia III team doesn't have the best track record and $40 is pretty steep.

I’m not sure if anyone is aware (the information surrounding the bundle is extremely vague) but if you already own Mafia 3 digitally you can go to the additional content section in the menu and open the PlayStation store. There you’ll find the trilogy sold for $50 as a “complete your bundle” edition or something along those lines. Slightly better than buying the trilogy for $60 digitally when you already own the third game. This should work if you got it as a free game for plus but I doubt this works for owners of the physical copy only, although I could be wrong about both.

Mafia: Definitive Edition, for instance, is a complete ground-up remake of the 2002 open-world mobster game; it uses a new game engine, features an updated script, and comes complete with additional cutscenes, plus "all-new gameplay sequences and features". It's teased in the trailer below, and 2K says it'll reveal more later this year.

I can't imagine a remake of what really could be considered a "sleeper hit" holding it's full price for very long.  Even though I have Mafia 3 on PS4, I'll just hold out for the physical trilogy pack to hit sale price, likely by Black Friday.  I mean, I've had Mafia 3 since 2016 and still haven't played it, I can wait even longer.

Yea I did QA for it back in 2009 before I was laid off due to cutbacks and also I was dealing with serious health problems back then. Was a fun time and I used to be so goddamn good at the game I could speed run it in an hour or so lol

I'd say so. I paid like $35 for it and haven't played much of it at all lol. But the little I did was fun and def worth $10.

 
So basically Rage 2 is the equivalent of buying a McDonald's Value meal? Overpriced, lacking nutritional value and should generally be avoided?

Solid advice my dude.

I think i'll spend $10 on a few days worth of salad and continue working on my backlog instead.

there are tons of upgrades in rage2. upgrade your weapons, upgrade your special attacks, can even jump higher and hover later.

can also upgrade passive things too like health and junk. Main vehicle too.

I have Game Pass also but decided to grab it for the $9.99 deal on PS4 in case it leaves Game Pass before I can get around to it. Worst case I'll leave it in shrink wrap and sell it if I end up finishing it on Xbox.

I liked the first “Rage”, with the exception of what might be the worst ending of any video game ever. I figure part 2 is worth $10, especially if it has the boomerang from the first one. That was fun. I ordered it

It's funny, I do the same thing. I play stuff on Game Pass, and buy cheap physical copies for PS4.

I'm still debating if I am gonna buy it. Early impressions have said it is fun, but I have asked myself if it is $40 worth of fun lol. Guess I will decide that tomorrow haha

Not the most exciting stuff. Nioh 2 is an aight price for those who want it. MediEvil I may just leave to my memories of it being OK back then, or just get it when it's $9.99 or less. 

 
I had a few errands to run so I finally made the trek out to Best Buy to pick up my $20 copy of Yakuza Remastered Collection.  It was the launch edition which was nice.
