Is it possible they also announced and released it early since they are bridging the gap from the two simulation games that got some bad feedback?  Memorial Day semi tie-in makes the most sense, though.

Yeah, the first thing I thought was "boy they must have gotten a lot of shit about the shitty Skylines + Farm simulator month" too. A Memorial Day tie-in hadn't even occurred to me.

I'm hoping this means we're getting another 3 game month like last year to make up for May.
However, it's lame that they relisted the base game just for this rather than give away the Gold Edition (only has one expansion).

I mean, there's some good stuff in there. Persona 5 for $8 is an amazing deal IMO. It's just that a lot of what I would personally be in for, I already have. The Arkham double pack, Persona 5, the Lego Marvel 3-pack for $15...

9.99 it has been multiple times already. And even at that it's not a very good price as you can get the physical version as cheap or cheaper and since it's the original version few will want it at this point over royal.

Sure. It's been cheaper. Doesn't mean $8 isn't still an incredible price for one of the best games of the generation. Some people will have just gotten a PS4 during quarantine. Some people will have never heard of Persona 5 before but for the price be intrigued enough to check it out. Etc.

Not everybody is a CAG who's plugged into the pricing on the physical version or who would rather skip straight to Royal.

The sale may not be great for you or me. That's legit. But there's some good stuff in there all the same, even if it's not helpful to us.

That is a really bad sale. AC 3 was 14.99 last month now its 28. If you are interested in Rogue, which is awesome, you are better off with the ps3/360 version. From what I saw the "remaster" is no different other than resolution and frames, I guess. The size is even about the same and there is no real dlc for that game.

Trust me, the PS4 version of Rogue is above and beyond the PS3 version. Visually, I found it more appealing than Black Flag, Unity or Syndicate, which were all native to PS4.

Also, "no DLC" is always a plus in my book.

So It does look much better then? I thought it looked amazing on ps3, good to know. I try not to rebuy games I already have unless they come with extras that cost too much on the other system. Like Freedom Cry/Liberation/King Washington.

Games under $20 is a much better sale from the look of it. Freedom Cry and Jack the Ripper for 2.50 and 3.74 is a much better deal than the season pass deals for their games.

I played the PS3 version in 2014 and the PS4 version in 2019, so I can't really comment on whether the PS4 version looked better or not.

But, I mean, the quality of life improvement from playing on a PS4 instead of a PS3 just can't be overstated. Using a DS4 on the PS3 helps a lot, but everything else is just oof.

 
What are the chances any of the Final Fantasy games get out in sale? I missed the last time they were on sale and been itching to get back into them. I unfortunately don’t see FFXIII as an option but I’d settle for anything other than that title

They go on sale every once in a while, though I doubt you'll see FFXIII show up as it was never brought over to the PS4 and we've been seeing less and less PS3 games go on sale. Also, Square never puts their FF games on sale for more than 50% off, so that's your threshold if you do see any.

Played and really enjoyed Strange Brigade, and that price ain't gonna get much lower. There's a story mode that you can play through on your own (no clue if it can be played together, but I don't believe so), along with some fun co-op levels. Lotsa fun running around killing waves of enemies, getting new weapons, perks, and the like. The game is just very charming overall, especially when considering the narration that really seals the 1930s vibe they have. I liked it when I played it (mainly) solo last year, and if you have friends to play with online, it's even better.

 
What's up with Raw Data, Creed and Electonauts? It's says they are on sale on the announcement emails but not on the actual sale. Will they show up later?

It looks even better. Too bad the price is a little too steep for me. If it were $10 then I probably would. I passed on Jack the Ripper because I didn't want to spend another $10 to get the few extra bucks I needed for it.

There's a story mode that you can play through on your own (no clue if it can be played together, but I don't believe so), along with some fun co-op levels. Lotsa fun running around killing waves of enemies, getting new weapons, perks, and the like. The game is just very charming overall, especially when considering the narration that really seals the 1930s vibe they have. I liked it when I played it (mainly) solo last year, and if you have friends to play with online, it's even better.

I am def going to get Assassins Rogue. As much as I have begun to truly despise ubisoft, and the choices they have been making (i'm sick of overly bloated games that have 20 hours of main plot stuffed into 100+ hours of boring repetitive grinding, like odyssey was a straight nightmare didn't even finish it even tho Kassandra is the best thing to come to the series in awhile) this is one I missed out on when the ps3 was going out and ps4 was coming in. Love the old ass creeds.

Too bad the PSN store is literal trash tho and half of it wont load at all for me, including the sale pages. Freaking Sony, you can't even get your store working well enough to take my money...

 
Does anyone know if with Sony Rewards, when you claim your points for say a PSN card, is it digital delivery or do they mail you an actual physical card?

 
I saw the State of Play for The Last of Us Part 2. It looks good but the gameplay is exactly the same as the last one. From what I saw, the environments are the same too.

Yeah I felt like the sound design made it seem more impressive than it was in reality. The gameplay wasn’t mind blowing at all but there was a lot of nice context sensitive dialogue that added more weight to the combat.

I wasn’t really impressed overall, definitely a pass until a sale
 
I think it's just that they removed the link to the sale pages, but the game prices are still active until tomorrow. Like, A Way Out was part of the previous sale, but it's still listed at $9 until tomorrow.

I finished Alvastia chronicles on Xbox last week. Really enjoyable if you like the kemco old school inspired RPGs. It's funny and has a decent battle system. It gets really easy if you power level, but there are difficulty settings, an end game dungeon and some colleseum challenges, also 100 characters to recruit. I spent about 18ish hours to 100% the achievements.

June....two online first (I think) person shooters

I'm pleased with SWB2 but does Sony not know how to mix it up?
