I’m okay with SWB2, but they easily could have mixed the two sims and two shooters for May and June. Either way, June is a win for me.
 
Already bought Battlefront II (physically and then digitally) so I'm personally disappointed with the line-up but I won't fault Sony for that. It's a decent month. Still wish we'd gotten a third game.

Crystal Chronicles Remastered having crossplay is a very nice surprise. Was wondering what was taking them so long.
 
I miss the indie games we used to get. I already have both of these just like the other 13.4 million people that bought a physical copy of Call of Duty (and probably 13.4 million that bought it digitally).

You mean like borderlands to borderlands 2, bio shock to bio shock 2? I would assume the environments would be the same because the world is still plagued but maybe they could throw a fucking desert in there huh? Also not really defending it, just questioning your dumb summary.
 
Are those individual releases of Bioshock Remastered and Bioshock 2 Remastered the same as the ones that came in the Bioshock Collection?

It's been years since the first one ended. In the state of play you are in the same neighborhood as the first part. Same color houses with broken windows. I feel that was lazy by the developers.

I was vague because I wanted readers to use their imagination.

For me, different gameplay would be:

1. Car gameplay. You should be able to hot wire cars and run over the infected.

2. Crafting better weapons. How about making bullets or metal arrows? Any type of projectile can be shoved into a musket or shotgun and be fired. Shove broken glass, rocks, balls etc.

3. You aren't alone anymore. Your group should consist of people who make traps, gather materials, weapons, supplies and intel.

To each their own, but I’m against #1 if it turns it into another “open world” game. #2 could be cool. #3 doesn’t really fit the game and i have doubts that the AI would be good enough to outweigh their burden (there are already some parts in the game where you aren’t alone just based on the footage fwiw)

From your opening sentence I think you must be a troll. The color of the houses is the same...?! That's the dumbest nitpick I've heard yet.

1. This game has always been a survival game, with tense human vs human and human vs infected stealth gameplay. Car gameplay? No. That fits no where into the existing type of game this is. This isn't Mad Max, however that game exists already, go play that.

2. There is no way to know what the full selection of craftable items is yet. Will it be exactly the same as the first one? Probably mostly the same stuff with a few new items. Overall, who cares if there are metal arrows or craftable bullets, it won't make or break the gameplay. This isn't minecraft, or animal crossing, we don't need to be crafting all sorts of items. Just a few simple things to survive to the next encounter.

3. If you want a game where you don't feel all alone, then go play a multiplayer game, there are hundreds of them available. This game is a sequel to a game that was 90% about story, and character development, with stealthy, tense, stripped down gameplay. Not supposed to be a fun happy time with ur buddies hanging out and driving around in cars. Maybe you want look into Final Fantasy 15 for that.

This game is basically none of the things you seem to want in a game, so instead of advocating for the game to change to your specific criteria, why don't you find a game to play that has the things you want already in it.

But really though, would it have been so hard to give Cod and Farm Simulator together one month, and then Battlefront and Shitty Skylines together the next month? Seems like you'd make everyone happy for two months instead of most hating one month or the other.

EDIT: Sorry for posting off topic. To fix that let me just add: The Last of Us is the most overrated game ever.

I think it has to do with being level 2. That requires you earning so many points in the month, which is usually a pretty low bar to hit.

Careful. Around these parts you don't want to imply that a Sony exclusive is anything but a perfect 10/10 game. The last guy who did that barely made it out alive.
 
do we know if the late sony ps4 games such as last of us 2 and ghosts of tsushima will be given free ps5 upgrades?

i’m wondering if we are going to revisit “remastered” games again next gen.

i still remember being very disappointed with cross gen games lasting so long...so as excited as i am for new hardware i expect most games to really not be ps5 caliber for at least 2 more years unless ps5 exclusive.

Well then get ready to keep being disappointed.

Although if it makes you feel any better, your impression of things is way off. The PS4 is already well below the caliber of the games being released on it.

Far from developers' games not being up to the caliber of PS5, the PS5's release will mean developers won't have to turn their games down into quite as much of a muddy mess just to run them on the console.

As someone who went from PS3 ------> PS4 Day one launch, yeah sure battlefield looked nice, but it was the most underwhelming upgrade since I started gaming back in the NES days.

PS5 won't be "fully taken advantage" of by anyone but first party Sony Exclusive titles for YEARS.

Also no developers are currently "turning the games down" to run on PS4. They are designed for PS4 and PS4 PRO and alot of the time there is little meaningful difference between versions except slightly higher resolutions.

The biggest advantage PS5 has is the SSD with shorter loading times.

Anyone know if there is a sale on PSN credit anywhere?

 
I think people forget that the PS4 at launch wasn't exactly groundbreaking for the games. Their were some OK exclusives like Resistance whatever and Knack. I mainly used it as a BF4 machine, and that was after quite a few patches and a DoA PS4 that was sent back and returned about 2 weeks later. My first pretty decent game was Infamous Second Son (still not amazing IMHO), with the first really great exclusive game being Bloodborne. These are all my opinions, and I'm still likely to try to get a PS5 on launch and likely play CoD or whatever to tide me over until better exclusives come out.

We will continue to get "remastered" games because now companies know they can sell us the same game with a higher resolution pack for more money. They make money while also investing in kids who will just be getting into gaming with this next gen. It's a business model they know they can win with, and they have to put in very little effort to do it.

I don't like it, either. Seems like a waste of money to me to re-purchase games simply because they have upgraded textures.

it should work but in order to get or use any DLC items you would need to make a new account and put in an address over yonder... even free ones. but as long as you do it you can access them all from your primary account.
