I still stand that the Dreamcast launch lineup was close to very great. You shouldn't use always in statements or they will likely be proven wrong. The PS5 launch lineup just looks OK.

It is all about promoting the movies now. Same reason you did not see the X-Men in Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite. Disney plugging their movies and movie characters is the top priority for all licensed video games, since those movies are their big cash cows. What a monumental waste of effort and a complete lack of understanding of what fans want. They would rather the characters look like knockoff versions of the actors (which they can't afford to pay their salaries to voice anyway), than to have different, unique takes on the characters.

I don’t know the overall sentiment is “outrage” but I know in my case it’s just confusion and bafflement. It seems like such a huge waste of money. I just don’t buy the “tech and bone structure” argument. How many other animated properties have a character that looks different than the person voicing them. I mean Mike Wazowski looks nothing like Billy Crystal but somehow Pixar made it work....
 
I don't see people really having outrage.  People can have opinions.

I agree it seems weird to redesign one character but not others as well when the original character design seemed fine.

None of the other characters look like what they should in my mind but those are the choices that the programmers made.

In my mind, this Peter Parker is not the same Peter Parker that Tom Holland was.  So why make him look like Tom Holland especially when he already was designed to look like someone else?

You want outrage?  I'll tell you when there will be outrage.

Tom Holland will be Nathan Drake in the Uncharted movie.  When they re-release the 4K PS5 version of Uncharted 1, 2, 3, & 4, they redesign him to look like Tom Holland.  Can people be outraged then?

Looking at the positive reviews today I may take a chance on Star Wars Squadrons. Hope it's worth 40 bucks. Time to get the PSVR out again.

 
Does anyone here have the LG CX OLED or Samsung QLED TV’s or can recommend either way? Getting ready to pull the trigger on an upgrade for the new systems but am torn on which to go with. The CX has 4 HDMI 2.1 ports instead of 1 like the QLED but carries the risk of burn-in. Thoughts or suggestions?

I don’t have either set but have been doing a ton of TV searching lately, myself. Rtings.com lists the LG CX as it’s best overall TV (also highly-rated for video game use). The Samsung Q80/Q80T is listed as a close second.

If money is no object, I’d go with the LG. I know a couple people that have LG OLED TVs and love them.

I don't have either, but I have other LG OLEDs and I can't see any way or reason I would go to another brand or not get OLED. I'm so impressed by those TV's. I've owned a couple Samsung non-OLED 4k TVs and had issues with setup options, missing Dolby Vision, and sound output options that some other brands don't have. Samsung is fine in general, though.

 
I’ve never had an issue with burn-in on my OLED and I’ve gamed for hours with things like Fallout 76 that have a consistent HUD. If you left it on for most of the day it might somehow be an issue, but the LG models have a built in screen saver that kicks in for any streaming app. It also has a nice cycle of 4K pictures that rotate when there isn’t a signal.

Wouldn’t shock me if they were around the same for digital ... maybe slightly less for some of the older titles on BF. Physical copies are almost always $5-10 cheaper than what Sony will discount digitally on BF. None of us know, but we can speculate.

I want to second this point. I’ve had my oled65b7a for just over two years now—and we put it through the ringer. Not a hint of burn in. If you don’t like oled TVs for some other reason then that’s fine, but don’t let the fear of burn in be the thing that scares you off. Although it’s technically possible, it’s not going to happen.
 
People have been updating NHL '94 via mods for ages.  Hope EA doesn't kill those now. 

Personally, I have liked the NHL series less and less as years have gone on.  The controls seem to become more and more complicated each year as they add some random ability to score a highlight goal through some bizarre stick twirls.

I have a B7. Picture wise there isn't much difference between them. Newer ones have more features and better chips, but things like brightness and color are close to the same. And I love mine.

 
Side note, I bought Star Wars Squadrons yesterday and so for I'd say 7.5-8 /10. It has flaws but it's fun and VR is very cool.

 
Genshin Impact is a really good F2P game. It has gacha, but it really isn’t a necessity unless you want it to be. A much more fun and polished experience than a lot of AAA titles nowadays...

Agreed, I’ve been playing it and it’s surprised me by how well it plays and how great it looks.

Playing on my Xbox One X and kept dying on the first mission (after the prologue). Switched to story mode but it was too easy for me. So am back to pilot and things really began to click.

Never really had much of an issue with most of the controls. It was more dodging missiles that was my downfall. But I persisted and got better. I’m loving it.

It's more sim that some other Star Wars games. Most people I see recommend going about 50% speed, especially on the turns to track other fighters, and then punch it to evade.

The good news is that the ships are pretty well balanced for load outs. It's mainly skill based. I have been seeing that the Tie Interceptor may be OP though.

I am an idiot was trying to use roll (left stick) to turn and did not realize you set throttle (up down on left stick) and let go. Much easier to maneuver at less than full speed.
