Seriously, how did you not buy Arkham City one of the many times it was $15 (including the GOTY version?) It's almost disappointing to get a game like that from Plus because there's no reason everyone shouldn't already own it a year after it's release. Of course, you might actually own a copy of it already in which case I'm sure you would have complained about them giving away a game you already have. Maybe this will be the year Morgan will personally consult your game library to see which games should be given away for free.

Ok i realize we're on CAG and there are some people here that buy every single video game that comes out, but I don't. Not only do they cost money, but more importantly, they cost time. I have a life and a job. I can't just get every single game. I played Arkham Asylum and didn't love it and didn't hate it. Therefore I didn't buy the sequel, but like to try it. For me, and a lot of other people, it would be a great game to get for IGC. You realize not every person on earth buys every single retail game?

Oh but you would rather have PSN games. Well guess what, Europe gets much better PSN games as well. They get games day 1 release. THe US gets PSN games that are older than dirt. Our game of the month for January was NBA Jam and the servers are being shut down on January 11th. GREAT VALUE! :roll:

So, like many others, I have stopped buying a lot of stuff on PSN for fear it will become free for PS+. I made a couple of exceptions the last few months and one of those was NBA Jam On Fire Edition. D'oh! Oh well, at least it has been a while now (like a year) since that has happened. Up to this point there was a great string of getting PSN freebies that I hadn't already purchased.

I guess I just figured a cross-platform EA sports game would never be part of PS+. Now nothing is sacred, apparently

I did just buy Katamari as well - could very easily see that becoming free but in that case I will probably actually play it soon, so that's OK (as long as it's not, like, next week). Plus I bought that with full understanding that it is a likely candidate.

He also doesn't have time to play all these games, so I think Sony may be doing him a favor giving out games he doesn't want.

On topic, I'm excited for Mega Man 9 & 10. I haven't played MM in a while. Also, I bought my brother a PS3 and a PS+ subscription for Christmas, and he was astounded by the value of it.

Arkham City was an extremely popular sequel of a generally well received game that was frequently discounted throughout the year. Just because you didn't buy it or see the value in it, doesn't change these undeniable facts. On the other side we have NBA Jam, which very few people bought, wasn't really on sale and is new to most people.

Sadly you don't seem to get that most people who wanted it, bought it, which is what most people are getting at. Like if Sony wanted to give away Uncharted 1 or 2, it would be a fantastic game for those who wanted it, but those are 2 of the most played / known titles on the whole PSN. People want things they don't have and I will gladly accept a PSN title I don't have over another copy of Arkham City and most people would probably agree with this statement.

They even hide the poll results now because they don't want people to see how poor of a job they are doing. Not to mention the PS+ updates used to be rated 4/5 or higher and barely top 200 comments, now they get rated about 2-2.5 and receive 600+ comments, which are overwhelmingly negative. Obviously I am not the only person who thinks they are doing a terrible job.

A) Most people see the gap and think they're entitled to more. When you compare US to JP or Asia... we come out ahead by a WIDE margin.
B) Those who are offended / angered are typically more vocal than those who're appreciative / respectful of the choices.
C) Morgan Haro (who typically replies / makes comments) usually hypes up the next week (it's his job after all...), which leads to people being even more angry. This was a HUGE problem with the Vita update, since it was always "around the corner" or "really soon".

It's odd how much more frequently DLC goes on sale on Xbox. I'm pretty sure if we had another Fallout 3 DLC sale, the XBL thread would scream bloody murder.

Also, has anyone played the Vita AR games that aren't free? Those are my last minute decision this week, I'm wondering if anyone has spent any time with them. I think PulzAR looks pretty decent...

PulzAR is a great concept marred by terrible camera recognition. With the cards on a flat surface and not moving, the game camera will show them as jittering like crazy, which is a huge impediment when the levels require tight placement and the jitter causes the mirror to go out of the level bound and vanish. I got the 100% trophies, but it was a chore.

They seem to have forgotten to set the "view results" for the preferred PS+ genres to private like the other two polls.

I also found it odd that an example listed for Japanese Current Gen RPGs is Tales of Vesperia which isn't available in NA on PS3 without importing.

But please refresh my memory, what is preventing anyone who prefers SCEE and EU PS+ from getting an EU PS+ sub? Instead of complaining to what are apparently deaf ears, just get the EU version and be happy. The US sub is already money spent. I'd be surprised if y'all didnt get $50 worth out of it over the year. So pony up the loot for the one that matches your tastes and "kwityerbitchin'". Mmkaay?

I'd gladly take a refund on my remaining subscription or switch my account over to the EU PS+ and pay the difference, but sadly, those aren't options. I'm not going to reward their incompetence in one region by signing up for 2 PS+ subscriptions at the same time.

no sir, you see, when CAG bans a member, they actually ban the person not just the nickname. So coming back with a new nick and get caught still gets you banned. Seeing as you are not trying really hard to deny that you are a recycled member. Maybe you do deserve a re-ban.:lol:

I really don't understand getting upset over the PS+ IGC. If it works out to be a good deal for you, great get PS+. If it doesn't, don't. It really is that simple.

In any industry similar goods and services cost different amounts of money in different parts of the world, that's just the way it is. There are plenty of things for sale in other parts of the world that that are unavailable or cost different amounts locally.

If you consider a good or service to be worth a seller's asking price, buy it. If not, don't. There's my 2 cents on the matter...Yay Mega Man 9 & 10! :lol:

I stopped watching, just looked it up on ESPN, not looking good.

I convinced myself that ND could easily stay in this game, especially since I didn't think Alabama looked all that good in the SEC Championship game either. I guess I was deluding myself. It doesn't help that I really dislike Alabama, specifically Nick Saban.

i think US PS+ is much better than EU, we get games that i otherwise wouldn't have played

they can have their 3 year old retail games for free like red dead redemption, with all the hype and acclaim it received who hasn't already played it? same thing with vanquish which can be found cheaper than many psn games

give me more under the radar and newer psn games like quantum conundrum and gotham city impostors, i don't want old retail games that can't be traded in (they would have no trade value anyways because they are old) and take up tons of hard drive space
