Pure speculation, my guess is this will be the only time it happens. Not only because they'll find out about the leak, but I also think they may have thrown together a lot of those front pages early because of the holidays. More than likely they'll all be able to leave for New Years as soon as they get the PS Update up, so the more stuff they do ahead of time, the less they'll have to actually do on Monday.

Is there something wrong with the Vita store? I can't find Castlevania Chronicles? I searched by name, and even just "Castlevania" or "Chronicles." It also isn't under psone classics. I know that I bought the game on 9/14/2010 but can't find it.
Yeah, NFL Blitz is the only other sports game we've received. I'm personally bummed cause once again I already have it. But it is kind of a niche game that really won't appeal to a certain population. I predict (and this one is really a stretch) that there's going to be a lot of complainers on the blog on Monday about it.
A lot of complainers on the blog on Monday? Yeah, maybe when Hell freezes over.

I know I already said this, but Hell Yeah is fuckin awesome. If it's still on sale, go get it, definitely worth the $5.99.

Just download it on your PS3 and then transfer it to your Vita.
I'm visiting family so I don't have access to my ps3 or I would check the regular store to see if it is OK or not.

Something is seriously wrong because I can't find Final Fantasy V either. I know I got that for free on 2012/01/31: http://blog.us.playstation.com/2012/...sy-v-and-more/
I see well not all PS One classics are available on the PS store from the Vita. Those that aren't you have to download from a PS3 and transfer it. Pretty crappy, but I'm not sure of another way.

I definitely think this is a one time thing, since its the only logical conclusion. One of the first things that came to my mind was "why doesn't the store update like this on the actual date in question?". I mean think about it logically... if this was an on going glitch / exploit, then we WOULD have seen it on any given Tuesday since the new store went live. Considering we already know it doesn't work that way, the only logical conclusion is that it it was a mere coincidence that the two events over lapped.

OK, thanks for your help. I didn't know that about some psone games not being officially compatible yet. I'll try it later after I get back in the new year.

I just want Tokyo Jungle really cheap or a demo.... For videos the game looks really interested and I think I'd enjoy playing it but I don't want it to be a failure you know.
I just played the demo for Sound Shapes. It's awesome...I will definitely be picking that up!
Congratulations! It's amazing, although the post-campaign, luck-based Death Mode levels killed it for me. The music and experience alone is worth it. hell, I picked it up day one and loved every ounce of it. Remember, it's cross-buy so you'll be getting both the PS3 and Vita versions for the price of one!

You can access your download list from the PSN store of the Vita. Click the "..." . Have to pick it from the list of games you own, but it will be there. It will also say if its compatible or not with the Vita.
when you buy sound shapes on ps3, can you download vita version free?
Yes, its a cross buy game for both systems. When you earn trophies just cloud save and they will pop when the other version is loaded with the save.

Great game but the Death Mode levels are stopping me from platinum at the moment.

But death mode is easy lol

Everyone keeps talking about these Death Mode levels, I'm interested to see what they are...some say they're awesome and others curse their existence. Some saying luck plays a big part in completing them, is that true?
Everyone keeps talking about these Death Mode levels, I'm interested to see what they are...some say they're awesome and others curse their existence. Some saying luck plays a big part in completing them, is that true?
Luck is a huge part because the note dispersion is random (you're collecting a certain number of notes in a short time), so many levels are actually impossible without some luck. I'd say most levels took 20-30 mins of focused play but a handful took many hours and a lucky draw to get through. I think they're a cool addition, but I couldn't blame someone who cursed the devs for making a skill-based mode where ultimate success depends on luck.
Do we have a sneak peak of what will be on sale Monday or is that tomorrow?
No official sneak peak at the moment, but the store seems to have the splash images ready to go for next week. The following will be half off for PS+ members, and 30% off for PSN members:

Skull Girls
Bulletstorm
Sound Shapes

And PS+ members will get Chronovolt for the Vita and NBA Jam on Fire for the PS3 as part of the Instant Game Collection.

It's largely luck-based. I quit because of it, great game though.

They're remixed versions of each level that features just one notable screen where you need to collect all of the notes one-by-one within a time limit, as you only see one at a time and their placement is randomly-generated each time. So it's luck that decides whether you get an easier or harder path to complete that level as fast as possible. Those levels will be what decides whether you get the double platinum or not.

If you want, I can do a quick video of a few of them from the PS3 version.
Sure, I'd definitely watch if you make one.
Sure, I'd definitely watch if you make one.
They sound more interesting than they're and most of them are luck based.

To put it simply, they're basically a segment of a level where you have like 20 seconds to get all the notes and dying / running out of time is a failure. They range in difficulty, but it shouldn't take more than 3 hours to do all of them. Also I would make a video to show you, but I would have to redownload the game =\.

awesome thx

Since the death mode levels are 75% luck based, it actually makes them easy. You just keep playing until you get a good series of notes. fucking up after you get a good series of notes sucks though.

Yeah that's the worst when you mess up on a good set of notes. Just seems I'm stuck at a certain point. I will beat the Death Mode eventually. The game was worth the purchase at release plays great on the Vita.

I cannot find it on the vita store so no.

Is it even on the Vita store?
Question: could I buy Journey on the vita PSN store and just download on my ps3?
Journey isn't available for the Vita.
It is?
Yep. It was originally a Vita exclusive, then the dev announced a PS3 port and made it cross-buy.
kinda wanna buy Journey ..
wish it supported remote play
It's $7, that's the cheapest it'll be for a while. Do yourself a favor and buy it.

For those of us who bought the Journey Collector's Edition for $15 (instead of buying Journey on PSN for $7.35)...

Does anyone know if either (1) the included free month of Playstation Plus (which I thought I read somewhere expires on 12/31/2012) will stack onto an account with an existing Playstation Plus subscription or (2) will the free month code inside of Journey never actually expire (just as most Xbox Live codes with expiration dates never expire)?

(2) The code expires on 3/31/2013 and it will expire on that date. This is a subscription service, not DLC, I doubt Sony would let any codes lapse.
