just beat From Dust. pretty good stuff. most annoying level was that Raging Earth level. Peace all
Really? The only trouble I had any problems with was the 2nd to last level, "Movements".
The one in the volcano.
Add me to the list of people pleased by Critter Crunch for only $1.40 for PS+. Rather fun game, though it kind of makes me wish feel it was on the Vita, as it'd be great to take on the go & can be fun in short bursts, like most portable puzzle games.

Also, PS+ update! Vanquish (11.6GB) is free tomorrow along with Mega Man: Maverick Hunter X (413MB)!
Vanquish is great news to me. I loved it on my 360 and sold it, planning to re-buy it for PS3 for another playthrough. I could never get my hands on a $5 copy, so this works out great for me.

As for the MegaMan game, I've never heard of it. Sounds interesting, but I don't think I'll check it out right away.
And remember guys, Vanquish is NOT a third-person shooter.
LOL thank you for the reminder.
As for the MegaMan game, I've never heard of it.
I picked up FFVII and IX. Now I'm contemplating VIII.
Reiterating what's been said many times in this thread VI-IX are worth owning as well as tactics.

That sounds pretty cool. Thanks.

I'm still trying to make a decision on IV. It's too easy to just keep adding one more to the cart!
And remember guys, Vanquish is NOT a third-person shooter.
Please explain? I want to be in on the joke like all the cool kids.
I'm still trying to make a decision on IV. It's too easy to just keep adding one more to the cart!
IV is really good as well and well worth the amount it is on sale for. It is probably my 2nd favorite FF game of all time.

For all those EU PS Plus lovers and wannabe's, EU is getting 20% off of Aliens: Colonial Marines. I suppose this is on top of already announced February EU Plus games, but given the reviews of Aliens, it sounds like we are not missing much on that extra Plus "bonus."
Reiterating what's been said many times in this thread VI-IX are worth owning as well as tactics.
I was under the impression that everyone thought VIII was not too good? Personally, the whole "magic spells work kinda like items you have to stock up on" thing (or something like that) seems like it would really bug me.

i am in utter shock that Sony hyped us up so much just to announce price drops and display some games. Really, for that kind of non-news they should only give us like 10 minutes warning (instead of several hours!) so our minds don't have time to decide they're going to announce GTA5 for the vita coming out next month, free for all ps+ members. And I'm really worried about the 20th... they gave us 2 weeks notice for that one. If they don't announce the PS4 is coming out in a week for $100 with 3 free games, I'm done with Sony.

RE: VANQUISH --
I already beat this, but have wanted to go back and eventually plat it. Such a great game. I know it's been joked about, but don't play this game like a duck and cover 3rd person shooter. If you're not rolling around and using your abilities, you're doing it wrong (as the challenge levels will make abundantly clear). the game is about fluid, seamless combat... not 'duck and cover'. if you play the campaign in cover, you'll be bored.

The Go works really well for RPG games. Can't imagine trying to play a God of War game with that tiny joystick (joynub. That's what she said).

Battery life is absolute shit, however. I do enjoy the option of it creating a save state when the battery dies mid game, however. (You can also pause the game, power off, and do this sometimes)
Please explain? I want to be in on the joke like all the cool kids.
Basically, there was a member (who's now been banned) who kept going on and on about how Vanquish was not a third-person shooter and thus was not meant to be played as one. He then explained that if you played it as such that must mean that you're terrible at video games.

To keep this on topic, I actually thought about getting the platinum on Vanquish because, at first glance, it seemed manageable. The game's pretty challenging though so I quickly gave up on that. I did beat it and had a blast with it though.

Yeah, I recall the challenge levels being extremely difficult and something that would prevent me from ever trying to platinum it.

FFIV is indeed great but I thought he was talking about PS3/PS1 classics.

Oh shit, now we get Vanquish on US+. Better late than never.

If anyone wants a year of EU+ I have a code I'll sell for $50. They're surprisingly a pain in the ass to get.

We need a blog to document these stuff, this, reckoning fiasco and so on.

If I downloaded Vanquish through an EU-based account, should I delete it and re-download it through my main PS+ US-based account, or do I not need to bother?

Also, I'm unable to download Foosball 2012 to my PS3. I downloaded it to my Vita without any problems but I get an "unable to download at this time" message when doing it from my PS3. Will search on this issue but maybe one of you knows a quick solution. TIA

Nice to get Vanquish, slightly disappointing that I already have only the second PSP game being offered but oh well.

I might pick up Freestyle, not sure.

The platinum isn't that hard.

Also happy to see Vanquish free, unhappy that it isn't a game I lack.
Everyone swears VC2 works on the vita? I tried putting the demo on some 3 months ago by connecting the vita and couldn't get it to work.
I believe people have said the full game works. The demo does not.
I believe people have said the full game works. The demo does not.
People are saying the full game works? (I missed these comments) That would be nice, I thought it doesn't since it doesn't show up on the Vita store.

So after getting the 1 Terabyte HDD, redownloading every game on my download list, installing, crashing so many fucking time, and then updating most of them: I used about 500GB of space on that HDD. Nice, I feel better now. Bring on the games dammit.

Queue it up for downloading, then cancel it. Exit out of the store and then go to the Vanquish game on the hard drive, Press Triangle for information, and see if Vanquish shows your US account as holding rights to the game.

Are you trying to d/l Foosball from your download history? If not, try that.

I'm not going to take your word on that considering the quote in your signature.

U would also need to start over cause saves are region locked.
If I downloaded Vanquish through an EU-based account, should I delete it and re-download it through my main PS+ US-based account, or do I not need to bother?
If your EU+ expired, yes. Adding what should be the same game to your US+ download list won't make the expired version activate. You'll also need to start over if you've played it already; save files aren't compatible.
FF IV is a PS1 classic title as well, is it not.
It received a PSP remake, which is the version on PSN. So it's not considered a PSone Classic.

Works fine for me. Just had to download it to my PS3 and then transfer it to the Vita.

Really stoked about Vanquish and the Mega Man game for Vita...and the discount on Urban Trials.

Thank you very much, this worked like a charm. Also had the same problem with getting Ecolibrium of PS3 but both are downloading now.

I actually hadn't even played it through my EU account yet, but I do have a save file from when I owned the disc-based game. Thanks again to both of you.

I bought VC2 last night and it does work on the vita. You have to download it to your ps3 and transfer it to the vita. Same with the dlc.

wow 9.99 for vc2 is a good deal, but with fft, ff dissidia 012, ff4 complete, iv got enough strat/rpgs with no trophies for awhile. also xcom has been scratching my strategy itch, so no need to keep getting more backlog.

also last day to get dragonborn dlc for 9.99. I went ahead and bit, hopefully plays better than the other bethesda/fallout 3 dlc.

I knew Vanquish would be free sooner or later, I've been itching to buy the game but it's just one of those games that's older and still very well received. Glad to finally get a chance to play it!

...After Revengeance that is. :D

How's Skyrim now? I remember it was laggy as fuck during it's initial launch. Hell, when I'd go to my house random shit on the walls would just take a mind of its own and fall the moment I entered. I might've had some ghosts in there though, not sure.

Not to mention I glitched a quest and couldn't proceed unless I restarted about 3 hours back into my game and figured I'd just wait till it got better, then we got faceslapped with the "NO DLC" news, so never tried it again.

I thought the Vanquish plat was plenty hard, but it was entirely enjoyable. If you struggle at all during the main game, the challenges are going to really throw you for a loop though. I've always kind of regretted selling my copy too. I wouldn't mind re-buying it for $5 just to keep a physical copy, but never managed to get in on that.

FFIV.

*slap*
I just started playing FFIV Complete collection on my Vita last night. The minute the music hit me, just wow I was completely lost in the moment. Granted it was a sentimental feeling as IV was the title that got me into RPGs. I spent 10 minutes just listing to the Crystal Theme. It just reminds me on how much I miss theses games.....and how freaking old I am now

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013...pdate-vanquish-joins-instant-game-collection/

Here's the full PS+ update for this week:
We’ve got a monster update to the Instant Game Collection today as not one, but two fantastic games are coming to PS Plus members for free! By now, you’ve got your hands on last week’s addition: Closure. Dungeon Defenders is still free in PlayStation Plus, and has a PS3 Community XP Event coming up this Thursday (register here for more info).

With tomorrow’s PlayStation Store Update, you’ll be able to download Vanquish and Mega Man Maverick Hunter X free if you’re a PS Plus member. We’ve got more including special content for Dust 514, and a launch week discount; so without further ado, let’s get to the goods.

Don’t have PlayStation Plus? Go to the PlayStation Store on your PS3 or PS Vita or click here to get access via the Sony Entertainment Network online store.

The EU trial I got seems to get more useless every week.

Seems like the release date for the LBP Karting update for costumes could be announced tomorrow.

Everyone can thank me for getting Vanquish for free, I knew once I bit the bullet and bought it on disc (3 weeks ago) it would pop up sooner rather than later in the IGC.

Oh well, they can't all be winners.

Glad I had not already bought Vanquish the several times I thought about it. I'm going to grab that. I already have Maverick Hunter, so it's nice for the people that want to play it. I love MMX 1 but didn't like Maverick Hunter. It looks pretty, but the screen proportions of the PSP change stuff, and I swear the hit boxes are f'd up.
I thought the Vanquish plat was plenty hard, but it was entirely enjoyable. If you struggle at all during the main game, the challenges are going to really throw you for a loop though. I've always kind of regretted selling my copy too. I wouldn't mind re-buying it for $5 just to keep a physical copy, but never managed to get in on that.
yea, the challenges are very difficult -- and they will actually require you to 'learn' how to play the game (whereas you can duck and cover through the campaign). some of the challenges are extremely difficult. i do not have the plat, but do want to try for it again.

Man, ps+ keeps screwing me over. I don't have a PSP/Vita or have plans for getting one, and I already got Vanquish through EU ps+.

So the new complaint is about getting the same games that EU is getting?

Isn't Vanquish best on 360? It'd be nice to know before I consider selling my 360 version. Also, just bought Mega Man last year, but at least it was only $5.
http://www.rockband.com/blog/rock-band-announcement-new-dlcreleases-ending-in-april

Harmonix is done releasing Rock Band DLC with the April 2 update, which has been released every week for over 275 consecutive weeks. The big Rock Band sale will still continue, so there's still time to get more of those songs.
Well, that explains why they seem to have abandoned Rock Band Blitz after the horrendous tweaks to the power-ups ruined the game competitively. Oh well, it was fun while it lasted.
