I think you're definitely right on 2 & 4, and I really hope you are. I've always wanted to dabble in Disgaea, so free is the perfect price for me. Free is the right price for me for The Cave as well.

Sounds like we're definitely getting fucking DOA5, some may be happy but fighters are the one genre I don't want to see anymore in the IGC.

Critically acclaimed shooter? I take that to mean FPS. Maybe Crysis?

Game 1: "A big, critically acclaimed shooter. Turned the world on its head in terms of what to expect from a shooter."

I'm going to guess Call of Duty 4.

Good call frisky I never thought of Spec Ops. My bet is defintely on spec ops. Never expected a story like that from a shooter, thought it was going to be your usually CoD wannabe in 3rd person. If most of these games turn out to be the guesses, U.S. fans can finally shut up for awhile.

1. Spec Ops
2. Disagea 3
3. DOA 5 or mortal kombat
4. The cave

Also is bit trip runner for the vita?

The retail fighting games left on PSN are Dead or Alive 5, Mortal Kombat, Persona 4 Arena, PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale, and Tekken Tag Tournament 2, though nothing about it said it would be a PS3 Full Game. So it could also be any one of the dozen PSN fighters.

The PS+ update next week will feature the entire month's slate of games.

Game Hints
Game 1: "A big, critically acclaimed shooter. Turned the world on its head in terms of what to expect from a shooter." Maybe Spec Ops: The Line?
Game 2: "A very highly acclaimed strategy RPG series coming to the Vita lineup later in the month." Probably Disgaea 3.
Game 3: "Another great fighter for the IGC."
Game 4: "An awesome PSN game that has a highly acclaimed writer, very famous videogame luminary, that's responsible for putting that game together. Fairly recently released." The Cave?
Ah I think you might be right with Spec Ops; and I hope you are as well, I've been wanting to play it for quite awhile

So I have a question. If I buy a $50 PSN card and use it to purchase a 1yr ps+ subscription would I qualify to receive the extra 3 months and also the $10 back for spending $50? Thanks in advance!

thanks for all the info here folks, bought a $50 psn card, signed up for a year and got the bonus 3 months tacked on, and will now wait for my $10 back..... might pick up stardust delta too for vita.....

Side Note: Anyone watching House of Cards on Netflix? I just got to episode 4 and Kevin Spacey picks up another congressman's son's vita and states "Is this as PSVita, I need to get me one of these for my car rides into work..." ...................... the show apparently had a $100 million up front cost so how much do you think Sony contributed to this fund? i'm all for it, (the show is phenomenal in my opinion) and i actually felt like "GO VITA!"

Yes. Any purchase using the wallet qualifies for the cashback promo.
Who is saying you won't own them anymore?

PS4's lack of BC does not mean your PS3 games disappear. You simply have to play them on PS3.
We don't actually own anything we buy digitally. We're paying to license the software from Sony. If they want to remove the game from the store and the consoles of those that bought it, they can.

Give us a guess. Your other ones I think are spot on.

Ooh it'd be awesome to get Spec Ops, been wanting to play it.

I'm so tired of fighting games though. Only one I want is Mortal Kombat. EU got it so hopefully US does. Other than that only other one I'd be glad to get is PS All Stars.

Edit: Or Persona 4 Arena I guess would be pretty awesome too.

For you Black Ops II owners, today the Revolution map pack came out with more MP maps and a zombie map. Season pass owners get their map through the in-game store not PSN.

Zombie maps have been meh this go around. Black Ops 1 had better maps so far .... hopefully Die Rise is better.

MK and DOA5 have the EU tilt while PlayStation All-Stars Battle Royale has the DLC tilt. I'd rather get Persona 4 Arena so I can check out the story mode that presents a sequel to Persona 3 and 4.

Wait if you get elite, can you gameshare it?

PSASBR also would fill out the second Vita title for the month as well, if they gave both. That would be another point in its favor. While the Vita version has been discounted a few times for PS+ (and is again), I don't think the PS3 version ever has been.

I'm going to be slightly pessimistic on this and guess that they'll give us Playstation All-Stars, as it's first party and did disappointingly at retail.

That still could be a fun fighter to have around for free, though.

Also, I'm understanding it as the second one is going to be part of the Vita game collection and not PS3, right? I'd be excited about Disgaea, but unfortunately don't have a Vita.

I'd be more excited about PSASBR than any other fighter. I've been holding out on the Vita version for a while and instead waiting for a cheap PS3 version so I can get both in one shot.

I've already played and beat Spec Ops on 360 so I wouldn't care for that personally. Great game though. Aside from that, I welcome any and all additions to the Vita IGC.

So many fighters that could be potentially free.

I'm going to go with either Skullgirls, Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike Online, or Marvel vs. Capcom Origins.

I just realized from another CAG that the strategy Vita could be Rainbow Moon as they did say they were going to port it to the Vita and honestly it makes more sense. I'm hoping for Disagea3 though as while it was a cool indie title, compared to basically any other Strategy rpg it was just alright.

It doesn't really make sense at all since it's not going to be out until the summer at the earliest, so that would be unlikely.

Oh man. I'd LOVE for it to be Persona 4 Arena or Skullgirls. Both are the only fighting games I'm really interested in playing. If it's one of those, I'm going to go through with the custom fightstick build I've been planning!

The Cave and Disgaea 3 would also be rad. :bouncy:

I didn't know that. All I heard was that it was coming out out this year. Glad you cleared that up.

Either way I know I'll enjoy the free games next month.

Damn. Walking Dead is at an unbeatable price. I'll have to finally give this game a try.

And if DOA5 if offered for freek on PSN next week it may be the incentive I need to renew my Plus account.

I'm torn on the possibility of it being DOA5. I liked the series enough that I bought it and platinumed it, and I do want to see more people play it, but at the same time, I paid full price for it. It's frustrating because a lot of free games lately are ones that I liked enough to justify buying immediately to own a hard copy of...

MK might make more sense since that's already been discounted and even has a komplete edition, but DOA5 has the precedence of showing up in EU.
Wait if you get elite, can you gameshare it?
Elite is free for all Black Ops 2 owners. So there's nothing to gameshare. For Black Ops 2, you can gameshare the season pass though.

Elite was a paid DLC for MW3 but it is not cross compatible with Black Ops 2 unfortunately.

Those are the only two fighters I really want at this point. I'm a big Persona fanboy, so getting that for free would be awesome.

The Cave and Disgaea 3 would also be rad. :bouncy:

Are they just talking about the Vita version of D3, or would it also include the PS3 version?

And The Cave makes sense across the board.

They said a vita Strategy rpg and the only one I can think of that is out is Disagea 3.

Mortal Kombat also has the precedence of showing up in EU+, and way before DOA5, so I'd say MK it's more likely than DOA5.

Ah, didn't know EU got MK free already.

Really liking Plants vs Zombies!:D

Got all the way to the level where it's dark and little light comes in and out. Frackin' zombies ate my brain!

The Vita version is the only version of Disgaea 3 on PSN and the hint specifically talks about it being a game for the Vita's IGC.

he plays ps3 on a regular basis, too. if i remember correctly, you even watch a ps3 boot up at one point. great show, by the way. i hate product placement, though (even though i love my ps3 and vita).
The Vita version is the only version of Disgaea 3 on PSN and the hint specifically talks about it being a game for the Vita's IGC.
When they are saying for the Vita line up, are they referring to the Vita only or is it possible that it could also be PSP games?

I do and found it amusing.
When they are saying for the Vita line up, are they referring to the Vita only or is it possible that it could also be PSP games?
It does specifically mention the Vita, but you're right, it could be a PSP game. I think it's unlikely to have 2 PSP games at one time (especially since no other region seems to be going this way), plus it will look REALLY weak against EU. Not saying US cares about the haters, but that wouldn't help cool the flames. Either or, it's probably Disgaea 3, which I already have... so not really hyped.

I don't think it'd be Persona 4 Arena, considering how it was just added to PSN not too long ago on Feb. 12th). I recall a huge backlash from when One Piece: Pirate Warriors was discounted not long after being released & many people were mad. Don't think Sony would try something like that again, even if it was Namco's decision.

Otherwise, wouldn't mind DoA5, though I'm waiting for an announcement of that DoA5+ bundle where you get the PS3 & Vita version together for a cheaper price to come to the US.

There's also the chance of Arcana Heart 3, one of the Sega Model 2 fighters (though doubt it), Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus, Jojo's Bizarre Adventure HD, & MvC2 or Origins as far as other PSN fighters that haven't been mentioned yet.

I'd scratch Darkstalkers Resurrection off the list of potential games since that comes out on March 12th, the week before Game #3 hits PS+.

-Game 1: "A big, critically acclaimed shooter. Turned the world on its head in terms of what to expect from a shooter." Maybe Spec Ops: The Line?

hmm. was spec ops 'big'? it was critically acclaimed and fits the description, though. bioshock does, but since 2 was already given i doubt they'd do 1. same with borderlands. so...yea, Spec Ops is my guess too.

Game 2: "A very highly acclaimed strategy RPG series coming to the Vita lineup later in the month." Probably Disgaea 3.

As others said... it has to be D3. Unless they're releasing something new as a surprise, and letting us have it day 1. Which seems doubtful.
the "highly acclaimed srpg series" really limits it as well -- there aren't too many series that fit that description, and even fewer if we limit it to vita/psp.
Eh, I love the Disgaea series and SRPGs in general, so it's a win either way. Heck, just that they'd think to include a srpg in the IGC makes me happy.

Game 3: "Another great fighter for the IGC."

got All Stars as part of my bundle. But i don't care about fighting games.

Game 4: "An awesome PSN game that has a highly acclaimed writer, very famous videogame luminary, that's responsible for putting that game together. Fairly recently released." The Cave?

Can't think of anything else that fits. Happy about this too.
