Are we sure the vita sale will have more different deals or is that just speculation?

i ask because i was going to go to best buy to grab a couple games today
the banner in the store reads:
"PS Vita Anniversary Bash: New Games on Sale Each Week"

don't know how much clearer they can be.
Anyone ever order a PSN code from gamestop.com? I wanted to renew my PS Plus and maybe get Walking Dead but ten hours after ordering I still don't have my code.
Dude I order it and get it automatically. It's on the receipt page.
Geesh, I guess it's Amazon for me from now on. Sucks since I have GS credit. I'll probably give it a little more time before trying to cancel. Thanks guys.
Every once in a while they'll throw an order into verification which can take a while. Happens to almost all of my orders because I've abused a few deals here and there and it's just something the computer does automatically.
Borderlands 2 would make a lot of people happy and show they are trying to give more recent games like EU, so therefore it will be Crysis. Maybe Spec Ops since that didn't sell great, is available really cheap right now and ithey can claim it's a "recent release" that people have been clamoring for.

The fighter "should" be DOA5, again to quell those who say US+ stuff is too old and bargain binny, therefore it will be Mortal Kombat.
What if the shooter is Army of Two? They have a new game coming out...

So, is there any way to renew the license on a free with PS+ PSP game? I bought a month of PS+, downloaded Mega X Maverick Hunter, re-upped my subscription with the 15 months offer, but it didn't change the date on the game. Do I have redownload the entire game to renew the license?

Never had this happen to me but i would go to my download history and download the game again. Hopefully that'll work.

I believe you don't have to delete the game, just go to download it. It sees that you have the game and update it. At lease that's how my Vita games work. Not sure if the PSP ones work the same way.

You may have to connect to psn on the device the game is running for it to change.

I know on the PS3 if you try to access the game it should change the date as long as you're online at the time.

Does anyone have any idea how often ps1 classics go on sale? I feel like I just missed a 50% off, not sure if this is my best option to pick up xenogears, parasite eve and a couple final fantasys

For those who have speculated on Borderlands 2 or the new Army of Two being the PS Plus shooter next week, please take your medication and join us back in the real world.

I do realize those comments may not have been completely serious, though...
I know everyone is leaning towards Spec Ops for the shooter but I disagree. It didn't garner much attention and wasn't critically acclaimed (76 on metacritic).

My guess is US Plus redeems itself with Borderlands 2. They've already done 1, so there's a relationship there. There's lots of DLC for people to buy. It's on the store, it was big, critically acclaimed and people said it turned shooters upside down by the way it added rpg elements to the genre.
This would be bad for a number of reasons...

1) This wouldn't look like Sony was redeeming themselves, but Gearbox redeeming themselves. Remember that Gearbox has been getting a LOT of negative press over Aliens, so giving Borderlands 2 would ONLY result in people being reminded they can make good games / get some good press around them.
2) The game still has too much value for Sony to justify buying for plus. Sleeping Dogs didn't sell that well and hit a low price a number of times. In a lot of ways it could be Biohazard 6, which was only really knocked for not being a survival horror, but still has awful sales numbers. (like why it was on sale so many times)
3) They haven't released a GOTY edition yet. We got 3 DLC packs and are waiting on the 4th. It seems EXTREMELY unlikely that they would give away the game before trying to cash in again with the DLC included.
4) We just recently got Borderlands 1, so I doubt they would give both within a calendar year.

For whatever reason, I read the first one to be Bulletstorm, which NO ONE else seems to think it's. It has a 82 (PC), 83 (PS3), 84 (xbox) score on metacritic, plus a number of CAG's agree it was a solid game (though not perfect). It's quite unique for a shooter due to the skill shots (thus the phrasing "turned the world on its head "), has hit the $5 dollar mark we know Sony loves to give us games at, plus EU got it not to long ago. This seems FAR more likely than anything else, but I guess that's just me.

I agree and don't forget it has two dlc packs. So if people enjoy the game they get $$.

Im trying to add funds to PSN wallet and keep getting credit card not valid and missed charges shows up in transaction history. Never had an issue with the card and was wondering if anyone else is having the same issue? Is it tied with the planned maintenance?

My PS+ expires on the 6th and wanted to renew and take advantage of the +3 month and +$10 deals.
I definitely think the shooter is Bullestorm. It tried a lot of new things and seems like the perfect game for them to give away.
But, peeps would just whine and be like this was 2 bucks 2 weeks ago. I kinda doubt theyd want to start there monthly sceduale that way

I wasn't saying the new one... I'm saying one of the old ones. It wouldn't be the first time a company give away games to drum up support for their new product. And they've said they'd like to avoid giving away games they just put on sale. It really leaves a bad taste in people's mouths.

Pretty rarely. The only time I can ever remember any PS1 classics going on sale was the recent Final Fantasy sale.

There will always be crybabies when they announce updates. The PS Blog is the worst for people complaining.

Already have the bulletstorm plat, but id love it as a free game just to get back into it. I just bought a few 1.99 copies at bestbuy (preowned) last week and gave them away as prizes during a party last night, lol. I also think i'm the only person who 100% that game, considering the dlc is crazy expensive (on par with castlevania dlc) and it was only anarchy/mp maps. Final Dead Echo and all that. or that great trophy FUUUUUUUUUUU. lol fun great game. I loved the chic calling you shit dicks and Ishi is top 5 best supporting characters this gen, lol. :) I would love borderlands 2, and tons of dlc, but let's get real. that would be too awesome tho.

Reading the PS Blog comments makes me chuckle...then cry for the sad state of humanity. Makes one wonder why they don't just deactivate comments. Course I guess people would resort to whiny emails then. Gotta love the almighty entitlement people feel these days whether they are buying a $.99 app or paying a few bucks a month for plus. *sigh*

They leave them open because it saves them money on market research. If people are constantly telling Sony they want ___ game, then they can get said game and people are somewhat happy. Like what happened with Vanquish.

@ iRandom

If you mean using them, then yes. If you mean buying them, then no.
Does the ($10 back for every $50 Spent) count towards PSN cards?
the money needs to be spent from your wallet.
so you can buy a card, activate your card (putting $50 in your wallet)... and then you need to spend the $50 on stuff in the store.

That does make sense. I just know it would be hard for me to read and go through all those comments if I was in charge of it haha.

I agree 100%.
That's the one game it's been confirmed that it won't be.
It's not even on PSN, though that's never stopped people from guessing those sorts of games before.
-Game 1: "A big, critically acclaimed shooter. Turned the world on its head in terms of what to expect from a shooter." Maybe Spec Ops: The Line?

hmm. was spec ops 'big'? it was critically acclaimed and fits the description, though. bioshock does, but since 2 was already given i doubt they'd do 1. same with borderlands. so...yea, Spec Ops is my guess too.
It was. It got a ton of acclaim around its launch for the story and the way the game plays, though the lackluster multiplayer is what killed its review scores. It got a second push during the award season and I know it won an award or two from Giant Bomb and made a few of the staff's personal Top 10 lists. The wiki page lists some of the awards that it has won:

In January 2013, Ben "Yahtzee" Croshaw named the game his game of the year for 2012, calling it "the most exciting thing to happen in video game narrative for fucking years."[43] IGN awarded it "Best PC Story of 2012".[44] Mature-Gaming.com awarded the game its "Surprise of 2012" award, praising how effectively it subverted the player's expectations of the genre.[45] Entertainment Weekly called it the fifth-best game of 2012, also naming Nolan North's performance as Walker "the year's best vocal performance",[46] a point echoed by Edge in their "alternative" awards for 2012.[47] At Machinima.com's 4th annual Inside Gaming Daily Awards for 2012 the game received the award for best narrative.[48]
If I buy Modnation racers road trip can you use the dlc from the ps3, or just user created stuff?
No. User-creations are cross-platform though.

You just missed the Final Fantasy 50% off sale, though I don't think either of those others have ever been on sale. PS1 Classics aren't on sale as often as the other types of games, but there's probably at least something every month.

Once it passes the original date, it'll update to the new date. There's no need to really be concerned about it.
Are we sure the vita sale will have more different deals or is that just speculation?

i ask because i was going to go to best buy to grab a couple games today
That's all we know right now.
It's not even on PSN, though that's never stopped people from guessing those sorts of games before.

No. User-creations are cross-platform though.

You just missed the Final Fantasy 50% off sale, though I don't think either of those others have ever been on sale. PS1 Classics aren't on sale as often as the other types of games, but there's probably at least something every month.

Thanks Frisky for replying.

The buy one year of PS+ get 3 more months promotion ends on the third!!! DON'T forget if you are willing to get those extra months and the $10 back.

Just a question, the promotion ends March 3rd, does this mean that the promition WILL expire March 2 at night or March 3 at night?

It'll expire on the 5th when the PS Store updates.

I added $10 via a code to my wallet last night. I then added $39.99 via my credit card and got another year of Plus for $49.99. I have not received the $10. How long does this normally take?

Was going to post the link above, then I read the OP. Do people seriously not even read the OP anymore? Did you not see the huge red box of text that clearly answered your question?

In roughly 1/4th of time you spent typing out your post (and subsequently this one) you could have found the answer to your question. So yes, I do find it a bit humorous that a veteran CAG couldn't have just checked the OP.

Some people are just extremely lazy. Even on the internet. Its sad.

On the other hand, picked up Smart As the other day and its pretty fun to play a little every day. Definitely recommend for $13 if you like brain games.

would games for 49.99 still count for the $10 back for every $50 Spent deal

the only absolute confirmation i've read was for PS+ subs (the mod at the time wasn't sure if games adding up to that counted). they probably do? but unless further confirmation has come out i'd buy something to top it off (i believe i read the cheapest thing on the store is .25).

Yeah, I've seen various people ask this around different places and there's been no sure answer on games, just PS+. Best probably to make sure you're over the line.

Retro/Grade is a good cheapie if you need to be pushed over. Interesting premise. Enjoying it a lot.

Just add a 25 cent avatar just to be sure.

Ha, didn't even think about that, but yeah that's probably a better solution. Forgot they existed as I've never bought one.
