Am I wrong in thinking everything in the THQ sale has been on sale before repeatedly?
Costume Quest and Stacking are probably the two games on that list that go on sale the most often, but that's still not that often. It's not as often as Sega or Atlus. I know that stuff like Red Faction Guerrilla, Armageddon, and Darksiders II haven't been on sale much for just the game, as they've had more bundle sales or releases over the past year or so.

I'll take a big guess that these are on sale because they're the remaining IPs that THQ owned that have yet to be auctioned off, so this will probably one of the last times, if not the last time, that these will be on sale. The THQ wikipedia page mentions that the auction for the rest of their IPs goes from April 1 to April 15, so I think that's exactly the reason that these specific games are on sale. It's a last effort to make some sales to help pay off the remaining debts of the company. If you want any of this stuff, now is the time to get it.

decided to jump on capcom classic collection reloaded and ultimate ghosts and goblins to have pretty much every ghost and goblins game I can...

Also, I just bought the assassins creed 3 season pass to put me over the 100$ hump after next weeks few purchases. Holy cow. At least the 20 dollar credit should last me a while if I stick to sales only.

I'll chime in on Costume Quest. I played through it in one sitting, but I would say it's about the length I expected going into it. I knew I was going to enjoy it right off the bat as the game has a certain charm about it that not many other games have. I really felt like a kid again, reliving all those trick or treating memories. The combat was so incredibly repetitive though that it almost felt like a chore towards the latter half of the game. The game was so great that I could overlook this aspect, but still, it's very tedious. Aside from that, the game is great and it's totally worth the sale price.
People give gifts for Easter?
i got super nintendo as an easter gift the year it came out

i think it was 1991

Thanks for the info in regards to THQ sale Frisky. think I will pick up stacking, and also- are there any trophy related DLC for darksiders 2? I checked the trophy list via vita ( which will display different add on packs etc,) but it only had one list. Is this an accurate assessment?

I just hate possibly missing out on DLC and then it not being available, like the marvel ultimate alliance 2 type thing or TMNT arcade game. (Both are only available if you downloaded them previously via your transaction list)
So I know a couple of things were confirmed for two weeks, but was the Capcom sale ever stated as lasting anything beyond a week?
I'd like to know this as well. If not, I need to make some hard choices about what I'm getting.

very tempted to get a UK PS+ account.

Can I view my download list on the web? I had a lot of purchases in the last couple of weeks, trying to make sure I got up to $100.

No trophies.

After borrowing a friend's persona 4 golden again, he would like it back.

Torn between buying digital or physical while it's marked down.

Snagged one of the 32gig vita memcards while they were deep discounted, but that's starting to get full. I'm preferring digital on the Vita overall, would rather not carry/swap cartridges. My only cart is Zero Escape: VLR, came free with the system, so far it's been permanently loaded in the game slot. On the other hand, love the case art on P4G and have read reports that the load times are a little better in some cases off the cart than a loaded memory card. Sony's done a great job keeping it's digital library live, so I'm not worried about purchased games vanishing for future download, but there is always the chance...

Grr. I hate grown up decisions :(

From VG24/7, does this person thinks we could possibly get Okami and/or LOTR:WITN for April? Probably not that reliable? He is right about EU, they have the same offers. Have there ever been identical offers across + regions? Of course, we already go the Cave but not the other games mentioned.

AU PS Plus April content includes Okami, The Cave, and Thomas Was Alone

Sony Australia has highlighted PlayStation Plus content for the month of April; although we haven’t heard from the European or US teams yet, it’s likely there’ll be quite a lot of overlap. In any case, antipodean members will score Okami HD; Lord of the Rings: War in the North and The Cave from April 4. Zero Escape: Virtues Last Reward joins the collection on April 11, and Thomas Was Alone arrives on April 25. On top of that, new and returning members who purchase a 12 month subscription will score an additional 90 days for free; it stacks on your current membership balance, too.

Ok I plan on getting Totori and R&C:FFA, but that'll leave me about $11 short of $100 for the month. Anyone have any good suggestions for me? Might end up getting the Bioshock season pass if I can't really think of anything.

No PSP games, but Vita and PS3 are A-OK.

They use to be nearly the same and now they're quite different. It's not uncommon to get the same game (hard to say if that is out of uniformity of desperation), but I wouldn't say it's any indicator. Like EU got DoA 5 JUST before DoA 5+ came out, but we didn't. On the other hand we got Ninja Gaiden Sigma Plus before Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 Plus came out, but EU didn't. So it's quite possible Team Ninja offered one to each region or each region deliberately took a different game or maybe the sales made sense that way. In the end I would say EU getting it simply changes the odds.

Basic odd: Let's say 5%
Japan / Asian getting it: +3%
EU getting it: +3%
Poor Sales: +10%
Sequel coming out: +20%
Maximum possible points: 42% chance

Like Japan got Zero Escape, now EU has it, so I would say it has a better chance of appearing than any non plus title. Though you're still shooting in the dark no matter how you look at it.

Buy dynamic themes or wait for the playstation store update today that some games might have dropped on the price!

Australia is a part of EU PS+, so they will generally get the same games unless there's a restriction on the deals they sign for them. That's just a poorly writtern/worded/understood article.

Zen Pinball tables! If nothing unexpected turns up in today's update I'm probably grabbing Star Wars and a few standalones. They pretty much never go on sale so this 20% rebate is pretty outstanding from that perspective.

Ugh, I'm about $12 away from spending $150 on the store ($50 of that was a plus re-up, so I'm not THAT crazy), but I am really running out of worthwhile stuff to get. Are there more tables for The Pinball Arcade today? That could get me a little closer...

I could swear I remember seeing that another table pack hits today in Pinball Arcade, but I can't find the link again.

EDIT: Ah, yeah. Table Pack 10: Attack From Mars, and Genie.
sounds like you are falling for their plan. don't force yourself to buy things to save money, that's a waste of money.
For me it worked out perfectly. I just added another year of Playstation plus ($50), pre-ordered Bioshock Infinite ($60) and Atelari Totori something for vita ($40) and blazblue for vita ($12) . Later on in the day I am going to buy both kane and Lynch games (my gamesharing friend and I been meaning to play those games), Bioshock infinite Season pass and probably a pinball table or two.

Meh... another crap week. Doubt i'll reup ps+ at this rate. The only games I want are always the vita versions, and usually the games they put on sale are always so old...

BTW Spec ops was free for what, 2 weeks? What's that about

Sometimes free games on Plus only last a week, Rochard for example.

Personally, I wish all of the PS Plus games were available for just one or two weeks. That would mean they are cycling through more games (not that I am complaining about the service). Once it's in your download list, it doesn't matter how short it sticks around.

OBVIOUSLY the solution is to buy a Vita ;)

But seriously, I think letting your PS+ account lapse and just sort of keeping track of what is up for free and then not re-upping until there are 2-3 games you want one month is a good strategy. Or maybe they never get you back and you save some coin
sounds like you are falling for their plan. don't force yourself to buy things to save money, that's a waste of money.
Ordinarily I'd agree, but most of the stuff I got up until this point I would have gotten whether this deal is going on or not. So I am in a position of getting $12 worth of stuff for $2 in my cheap ass mind, even if that's not technically true.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2013/03/26/announcing-metrico-a-new-ps-vita-pub-fund-exclusive/

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r4tFt6rArRk

Metrico centers around infographics, as you might have noticed from the teaser above. It’s an atmospheric puzzle action game that strives to create a unique mindset of its own. The idea has been in our heads for a few years, and was born out of noticing how beautiful infographics can look as an art form. It was reinforced by seeing that infographics have become increasingly important in contemporary pop-culture. While they haven’t made their way to videogames yet, we think it’s a place where they can work exceptionally well. This is not just because of their pretty aesthetics as much as it is about actively changing data and how that can be visualized.

Metrico has been in development for a while; we created several unreleased prototypes for ourselves to flesh out the design. Our last prototype won the Indiepub propeller Award in 2012 in the category of “Best Design”, after which we got into contact with Sony to develop the full game for PS Vita through the help of the Pub Fund program – and we are thrilled with the opportunity to do so! Especially because the gameplay mechanics of Metrico work particularly well in combination with the unique hardware features the PS Vita has to offer.

de Blob 2 is going to be $3.75, so it can definitely happen.

As I said earlier, if you want any of those THQ games, get them now. This is likely to be the last time they're on sale before they're pulled with the auction for the rest of THQ's IPs starting next week.
Thoughts on Red Faction Armageddon at $5? I know it wasn't very well received, especially after Guerrilla, but for $5?
Totally. I may be in the minority, but I think I enjoyed my playthrough of Armageddon more than Guerilla. The campaign was more focused since its not open world (I felt like I spent way too much time driving around on an empty/lifeless world in Guerilla), and the magnet gun thing was a ton of fun (shoot one thing, shoot a second thing, first thing propels into second thing with great force).

That would only work with games that drop to $15 on the store tho. most of the games stay at $20

Worth it but try to play before rf guerilla.
