On the PS4 subreddit, there are people saying PS+ is $29.99 this week at Gamestop, digital code only. I haven't asked my GS. If someone else wants to check out the veracity of that claim, feel free to call your store.

Most of the deals we've seen so far are AAA titles. I suspect the Flash Sale this weekend will be heavy on indie releases. Hopefully we will see good discounts on  Stardew Valley, Pyre, Undertale, The Witness, Cosmic Star Heroine - stuff like that.

The date on that blog post and the game prices tells me that might be last year's post. But if there is perhaps a discount code for the store this year, that would be great.

I too am kicking myself for buying both Horizon Zero Dawn and Fallout 4 goty within the last couple of weeks, but I've gotten a lot of enjoyment out of Fallout 4 so I can't complain much. However, I haven't even launched HZD yet because I've been re-addicted to the new Diablo 3 season. But I'm gonna assume the game is good enough to not feel bad about a couple bucks lost.

That being said though, I don't have a lot of credit left to burn so this sale makes me a little sad.

Persona 5 if you enjoy the series or lean towards JRPG's. The Witcher 3 if you lean towards WRPG's. Both are at or near the top of their respective craft and exceptional values. I only played the vanilla Witcher 3 but it was great. Persona 5 had a truly fantastic battle system and style, though the story lulled in spots. Both terrific.

Edit: since you asked about value, I will add that I spent about 55 hours with vanilla Witcher 3. And about 85 hours to clear Persona 5. Both great values for the cash.

Witcher 3 GOTY is the best value. It will probably not go lower anytime soon.

I would wait on Persona 5 til there is a bigger discount. I'm personally waiting on Persona 5: Ultimate Edition at a great price before I pull the trigger on buying it.

Yakuza 0 and Yakuza Kiwama price still too high.

Dragon Age II for pc, nope that has free origin game written all over it.

Dark Souls II for $10 on PC humble , nope that will be in a bundle again in the future

GTA III,VC,SA and IV Complete for $15 humble - Are you really going to play them in the next year?

Persona 5 if you enjoy the series or lean towards JRPG's. The Witcher 3 if you lean towards WRPG's. Both are at or near the top of their respective craft and exceptional values. I only played the vanilla Witcher 3 but it was great. Persona 5 had a truly fantastic battle system and style, though the story lulled in spots. Both terrific.

Edit: since you asked about value, I will add that I spent about 55 hours with vanilla Witcher 3. And about 85 hours to clear Persona 5. Both great values for the cash.

This is good advice. I put 95 hours into Persona 5 and about 50 into Witcher 3 plus the expansions. Can't go wrong with either pick.

The vita version lacks some content the PS4 version has so it doesn't surprise me to see it drop in price first.

 
Can't wait to get a PS4 slim and play the GTA Trilogy. All three games for $21 seems like a good deal. I can also try and play them remote on the Vita when I go somewhere waiting on something.

Bought Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy: Telltale - Season Pass & The Walking Dead: A New Frontier - Season Pass for $10 each.

I'm almost done with The Witcher 3 and it's considered one of my favorite games of all-time. Thinking of getting Dragon Age Inquisition as well. Is it any good and worth the play through? I did recall someone here said it's a poorman's version of the Witcher 3 but with a better combat.

DA: I GOTY deal suddenly reminded me I haven't claimed the dlc from the GOTY physical I bought a while back. The card said expired 10/13/17, entered it on my system but returned as invalid/expired. I tried it again with the PSN app on my phone and it went through. That was a close one.

Don't burn yourself.

I wouldn't buy anything till Friday at the earliest. Wait for the flash sale. Plus you never know when the playstation newsletter will give us a coupon.  I can't remember if it was around black Friday or Christmas when they gave the one last year. Or sony has a buy $ get so much back next month deal.

Plus during flash sales you normally get 3x bonus sony reward points.

Yeah, there’s few things I want but just going to wait until the Flash Sale. Not like they’re going to run out of downloads.

I only finished Episode 1 so I don't know how the overall story will compare with TFTB or The Wolf Among Us, but I at least feel compelled to play through the rest of it. One thing I liked was how they handled the "Next Time On" video--rather than show clips from the next episode, characters vaguely refer to things that happened/will happen in an interview-like format.

Telltale really needs to upgrade their engine, though--the occasionally awkward animations and lack of proper lip-syncing are painfully obvious.

Can anyone else who's played Guardians chime in? Im trying to decide between Guardians and Batman season 2. Im prefer Batman but it only has 3 episodes so far and im a bit impatient even with my backlog.

Witcher 3 is one of my favorite games of all time but I really liked DA:I. Taking out the nostalgia, DA:I is the best Dragon Age in the series IMO. I don't think its a poor man's version of TW3 at all. They are different games. DA:I is create your own hero with party based combat. Yes they are both WRPG's and they both have various choices that can affect the ending but otherwise they aren't that similar. If you like Bioware games, then DA:I is highly recommended. If you don't like Bioware games, then don't bother.

Alright, I need some help.  I have the Vanilla Witcher 3 steel book still in shrink wrap on the shelf. I'm on vacation this week and i'm ready to play it. Should I just get the complete edition to have all the DLC and expansions or buy the individual expansion packs and lose out on the other dlc?

I didn't 'compare' them, I said they are sister companies. Look it up. They have a very interestng/unique thing going on, which is why they often come up in conversation together.

Wow that really sucks that i have been a ps+ member since day 1 and ps customer for over 10 yrs but i miss the free uncharted anniversary bundle because i got no notifications or email about it. And i was busy this weekend since there was nothing going on with psn besides the bad pre bf week sale.

Wow. I have the platinum trophy for uncharted 4 and 2 and an account showing that i have owned and played through every single game but i am not allowed to download the themes and avatar pack now

What a stupid way to handle the uncharted anniversary. A random date instead of allowing ps+ members weeklong access or uncharted owners access and a simple notification

How did you manage that? I have all three steelbooks, and none of the three were ever shrinkwrapped.

Edit:

1) You don't lose out on the other DLCs?

2) The saves aren't compatible between vanilla and complete.

Well from the looks of this list, the retail stores has the physical version cheaper. The only one I can see that's better digitally os uncharted collection.

Unless they changed something (I doubt CDPR would) all the other DLC was and should still be free.
