Anyone know when I should be able to buy MLB digital for PS4?

Every time I click to add to cart it gives me an error message because it's trying to add the preorder.

 
4:45 in the AM and still cannot download The Show. It said 12:01 just like Second Son. I got that to download just after 3am in March. Sony has my money so it's all good. Whenever someone over there wakes up I guess .....

There SHOULD be a download link on the page. Also I checked my purchase history and there is still no download link. I could be halfway through my 5th game if I woulda picked it up at the store.... Dang you PSN credits.........

Why are people suddenly playing Montezuma Blitz again?  I was surprised to see my friends list on the side full of scores for the first time in maybe months?  And usually that was just one person.

I just got the 100,000 token trophy after playing 5-10 minutes a week for over a year, mostly trying for the Nuclear Blast (still don't have it). No way I am going for the 100 hour trophy. I think I'm done with this game until the sequel comes.

While I wouldnt pay to meet anyone, I can see why people would want to meet Shaq. He seems like a fun dude to hang out with and doesnt take himself very seriously. People pay to meet celebs all the time for charity and now to fund a horrible game apparently.

 
hopefully more vita games on sale today,  blew like  12 last week   (trigger,cross, lord of ...)  would buy more but my 32GB card is full

This is considered a spoiler by some (though I don't really see why), so I'll encase it behind tags just in case:

In Europe, SMT: Nocturne is known as Lucifer's Call. Interpret that however you like.

The core SMT series (i.e., not Persona) is pretty heavy on the occultism, but not to the extent that it's forced upon you in an attempt to convert you to their way of thinking. It also gets some things wrong (the final boss of SMT2 comes to mind--I watched a Youtube video of it and was :roll:-ing throughout), so I don't feel as offended as I otherwise could be.

Oh man I missed the $5 flash sale while waiting for Chrono Trigger to load! My computer was tied up because I was ranting that MLB wasn't up the second I wanted to buy it on the PSblog. I guess I should have pre-loaded some credits with paypal but I'm not sure if it's accepted by the store. I can't believe the continuing slap in the face by Sony especially because they keep giving out free games via PLUS that I already bought!   Hopefully Tensei can make some sense of this for me as he seems like a stand up guy.

 
This might be important for some people to know regarding the Sly Collection on Vita:

Oh. Didn't realise the Sly Trilogy isn't available on US Vitas yet. I was talking about that. I think it's running around 30, but it does the job decently enough.
But yeah. It's out on Vita in Europe/Australia. And it's pretty playable, all things considered. Just expect shitty 2006 YouTube quality cutscenes.

Also, and this might be a massive setback to the people who can't get this game yet. Only two of the games are actually on the Vita game card. You get a download code for the third game, so expect that to eat away at 2.7GB of your Vita's memory card. That... might dissuade some potential buyers, but that's just how it is.

I just started playing because I saw a bunch of friend story messages about people playing and wanted to see what it was all about. It's a pretty good way to kill a few minutes, but the grind for the trophies seems rough.
 
Picked up MLB 14 at the store, turned on the PS4, letting it install completely and just chilling. 

In other news, Vita Slim price drop confirmed for E3?

Why would people pre-order a digital game? I'm assuming there was some incentive? If so, i'm guessing that free wallpaper isn't looking so great now.

It's sad that I can go to the store right now and pickup the game and play it and trade it back in before digital purchasers have it downloaded. :)

The Vita Sly Collection videos I have seen look pretty good at least for the gameplay. The cutscenes look poor on the PS3 version too, so I can't fault the Vita for bad looking cutscenes. I can't imagine too many Vita owners would avoid the game just because of the download, but it might incentivize some to buy it all digital.

I used free psn cards I aquired from a rewards program to buy the show. I only have 31.00 left so Watch Dogs will be a disc.
 
Sorry to hear about the digital release delay for The Show. Looks like I'm sticking with hard copies of games for the time being.
 
I am so glad I dont buy games on release date.  I could barely take reading the last page of posts about the whining.  I get it, you want to play your game right away, but holy shit you dont have to act like a 2 year old with shit in its diaper.

It's not sad, it's amazing that you can go to the store and buy the game and trade it back in now or whenever you want. For some reason that I can't fathom, consumers are trying to start the digital revolution of gaming when we're just not ready for it yet.

I completely agree. To clarify, I meant that it is sad that digital purchases are handled so poorly in comparison to a disc that must be printed, boxed, shipped, etc. It's also sad that such a disparity exists between owning digital versus physical. It's sad that there is just so little incentive to own anything digitally - especially when it is a full priced new release like this. Convenience is the only advantage digital has over physical and they can't even get that right.

I'm done with physical. I'm just tired of looking at the clutter and ugliness of stacked up game cases. I have my remaining discs in a closet anyway. I vastly prefer the convenience of digital. Since PS+ took off and the sales have reached some competitive pricing I don't bother with flipping anymore. I did it for a long time. I got worn out on going from place A to place B to place C just to get a deal. I realize how easy it can be but I always found the most rewarding and or profitable sales were when hardware went on clearance. I made a pretty penny on some Mario Kart DSi XL bundles back in the day among other things. 

I'm so jaded now I actually hate the sound of a disc spinning in my console and when it gets loud it's super annoying to me. I do however appreciate that the choice is still there. I am happy Sony took the right stance and gave people the choice. I realize that how I currently purchase games isn't for everyone.

I'm pretty sure though eventually everything will just be like a netflix of games or whatever....a service rather than something we own. I fought it for awhile...buying CDs over MP3s and stuff like that but nowadays I've sort of gave up giving a crap. I'm probably listening to more music on spotify these days than even my mp3 collection which is quite large. The thing is with Spotify I don't have to keep it organized and add cover art and stupid bullshit that takes up my time.

I'm all digital on the Vita and honestly (to me) throwing in a game cart would feel somewhat archaic to me now.

 
Physical is (usually) the cheaper option, and I can resell it if I like. It'll always be my first choice.

Jkam you make some good points. I am less likely to rush though games simply to flip them back. My heart goes out to ps4 show fans waiting for digital. I know if I was looking forward to a game for months, I'd be upset too.

Going all digital makes travel alot easier as well. I remember back in the old days I would have to load up my bag with two or three paperbacks, a flipbook for all the CDs I wanted, as well as a case for my gameboy and however many games I wanted to risk losing.

On my last trip for entertainment all I needed was my phone, and my Vita. 19,000+ songs, 10+ books, and endless games all in my pocket.

 
I'm mostly digital on Vita, but that's because I mostly have PS+ "free" games and Indie games for it, not so many purchased AAA retail releases, except ones that went on sale cheap (Killzone Mercenary, for example, and that's digital). On PS3 again I have a lot of PS+ stuff and Indies. I prefer digital in general, but not at AAA retail prices.
