damn, thought my credit was gonna be safe for soul sac, but maybe not now. really tempted on most of the vita games, even though i'm struggling for space on the mem card. definitely getting tales and armored core, and gonna debate on hyper dimension, metal gear hd vita, dragon ball z, and saint seiya.

edit: nevermind on seiya, somehow got it confused with one piece.

In for Hot Shots Golf for sure. Glad I didn't bite on the last sale or on a cheap used copy.

Also maybe in for Chrono Trigger. Never finished that shit and it's sitting on my dusty Wii.

And probably in for Metal Gear Solid collection. Never played any of those. Now to figure out what system would be preferable to play those on. Any major differences between Vita and PS3 (besides the whole not having Peace Walker thing)?

Chrono Trigger PS1 is pretty bad from what I recall reading. I'd look into that before buying.

Peace Walker is supposed to be a really good entry, so I picked up the PS3 version instead of Vita. 

 
I thought after last weeks offering maybe it was sign that the best sales were over, damn was I wrong. My wallet is going to suffer this week.
 
Wow, $10 for ToSC this soon after release is impressive. I think I prefer owning a physical copy, though--thanks to the 40% off sale and 50% bonus promos at GS this past weekend, I was able to get a used copy for almost nothing.

Otherwise, I'm considering Chrono Cross (though I still have a PS1 copy), MGS Collection for Vita (and sell off my physical copy, which seems quite rare now; I already own the PS3 version), and rain. I could still see Muramasa being PS+ within a month or two, so I can wait on that.

Ps1 version of chrono trigger has some framerate problems and horrid load times. If u want to play on vita or ps3 its obviously the only choice, but if you have the ds, its port is exponentially betterand includes the extras from the ps1 port.

Newbie question - hopefully it doesn't get overlooked by all the excitement for the Golden Week sale: I want to rent some Vita games from Gamefly. If the games save to cart, is there any way I can backup the save and can I use it for digital version of the game? How do I know if the games save to cart? I would guess the box mentions it but I'm renting from Gamefly.

Stick the card in, then do it. It doesn't work if the game isn't in the system.

I'm kind of in Vita Limbo right now (even though I'm not playing Limbo). I think I'm playing too many games (I usually stick with 1 until I finish it). Currently playing Spelunky, Motorstorm RC, Stealth Inc., and Velocity Ultra. Spelunky has me hooked pretty hard too.
I made it to the Ice Caverns a few times but have yet to get a shortcut there since Tunnel man wants a shotgun and I've yet to procure one for him. I want to at least see the whole game. Not sure if I can ever do a full run but we'll see.

Same game. Two trophy lists. It's only $5 and it's awesome. Then get the Vita version when they do the IGC refresh for Vita games at E3 2013...in November 2013...at E3 2014.

They're definitely doing it at E3 2014, right guys?

I've been hoping for a deal on MGS Vita, but Symphonia Chronicles at that price was a big surprise to me! I was waiting for it to hit $20. Guess I know what I'm getting this week.
 
Whee, I'll be grabbing Soul Calibur V. Is the Devil May Cry HD collection worth getting? I am interested in DmC but I don't know if it's worth getting the HD remakes or if I should just start with DmC.

Well, that's an unfortunate omission. Especially with Mario Golf out this week. Hot Shots seems just as good (if not stronger in a few ways). I started Chrono Trigger on 3ds not too long ago. Maybe 8 hours in. I really like it. Anytime someone asks which version to get people always recommend the DS port. I don't have any experience with the ps1 version so I couldn't say why. If load times are the only culprit, I definitely wouldn't let that deter you.

I never played Chrono Trigger on the PS1 because I played the Final Fantasy 3/6 port first and the load times were unbearable.  If you have played the games before I wouldnt bother with the PS1 ports.  But thats just me of course.

I much prefer Radiant Historia's time travel mechanic though as it actually feels like time travel instead of different areas that are only tangentially connected.

Edit: Also you don't have to play through the whole game 20 bloody times to see every ending.

It's a tough game. Verdict Day is a sequel/expansion to V, so unless you're playing co-op or importing items from V, it can get pretty challenging. It is the franchise From Software made to keep their lights on before Demons Souls and Dark Souls. You should also be aware that it has a ~900MB patch if you want to play online.

Going to get Chrono Cross since I have the DS version of Chronotrigger.   Also thinking about getting Metal Gear Solid HD Collection on the Vita just for a portable version of MGS 2.  Also thinking about Devil May Cry HD Collection and Time & Eternity.  Tales of Symphonia Chronicles is tempting at that price.
