Well, since I'm here, I enjoyed Arcania/Gothic 4, and the PS3 version comes with the one and only expansion for it which I also enjoyed. I'd say barring any specific PS3-version issues it's worth $5, seeing as I forked over $3.30 for the expansion (it normally costs $10 on 360) and didn't regret it (I got the base game free, don't ask how).

Arcania is the latest in a long-running RPG series on PC called Gothic. This is Gothic 4. If you've played the other European RPGs like Two Worlds II and Risen, this one is quite similar. Compared to other RPGs, this one is more mundane - no epic quests here; you're just a farmer trying not to get caught up in war by an encroaching kingdom. As Bobby noted, it also comes with the expansion, so you're getting a lot of value here.

Do you know if the expansion is standalone? I already beat the base game on Xbox and want to start with the expansion right off the bat. I think it was on PC.

I resisted the Best Buy glitch, so I'd better resist this $5 sale too. Fortunately I either have the games or don't want them or don't know anything about them and will remain blissfully unaware.

I'll get the new Star Wars tables when they go on sale. My friend kills it on pinball so I'm used to see crazy scores. What platform do you usually play pinball on? I usually use my Vita but love having PS3, Vita, & PS4 available if needed. I'd rather play real pinball but this scratches the itch.

Though most in this thread probably already have it from PS+, it has a good tale to tell and it tells it well. It blew me away when I played it on PC. It's a decent challenge even on normal difficulty.

It is, but you need the base game to play it (you have to get to it through the main game menu).

It was compelling to me at least. If the game was a little more polished, the story could really shine. I think I'm just tired of playing supermen and I like ordinary, everyday folk better.

I have what I'd consider an exquisite library for my vita (100gigs, easy), another large ps3 library, a small but want-to-play ps4 library, and a never-gonna-play massive steam library.... and i end up playing No Heroes Allowed for 40+ hours while reading gaming blogs about what else I should be buying.

It's ridiculous. At least I know everyone else here shares this pain.

I am dying to play Tactics Ogre again, Chrono Cross again, and Vagrant Story for the first time. Instead I still need to sift through ten pages of this stupid thread, reading about soda.

I mean, I might miss the chance to add another $5 game I'm never going to get a chance to play to my backlog, right?

What's the game about? I apparently bought it a long time ago with Sorcery and never played either of them.

Part of me wants to buy GTA4 and Mini Ninjas and LA Noire so I can play them digitally since I think I would have a better chance of doing that. Putting in the disc is too much trouble when you only have 10 minutes to play at a time.

Another check in Zen's column. The leaderboard and socials features are well implemented. I'm very much at the bottom, but it's still fun going after people's scores. Sucks that scores aren't shared between platforms though.

It really wouldn't make any sense, though.

Let's say they're never releasing it -- why would they go out of their way to highlight what people aren't getting? Hey! Buy this version, even though it's incomplete!

And let's say they plan on releasing it as paid or free DLC -- why cloud the release public relations (again, indicating it isn't complete) when instead you can save that announcement for a positive press release in a couple weeks or months?

They're being open about what they're releasing. Expecting them to be open about all future plans is just asking too much. Heck, those plans might not even be set in stone -- for all we know, there might be sales targets they need to hit in order to bother releasing dlc.

I plat'd BL2 and loved it. Top 3 games of that year for me. (I disliked the first one though). I'll buy the vita version on discount, though if i'd never played it i'd probably day 1 it.

 
Whew!  Nothing for me!  All this sale did was remind me how huge my backlog is, as I own a high percentage of the games in this flash sale but have only played a small portion of them!

Only internal debate I'm having right now concerns GTAIV. Sold it two years ago after losing my save. The first and only GTA (started with III) I haven't finished. Just cannot see myself plodding through those "its your cousin" parts again. Lord, so boring. Surprised the ending hasn't been spoiled for me yet.

Same, except it was my actual GOTY. Was pretty meh on the first. BL2 is one of those games I played so much I unlocked most of its trophies without even glancing at the list. Only have a handful remaining. If this vita port isn't complete shit (not holding breath) I may briefly join the dark side in pursuit of another fulfilling and life-changing platinum trophy.

I played the entirety of GTAIV and I'm not sure I could tell you the plot if I tried. The beginning of the game is so awful. There's really no other way to say it. And I don't like Niko. I understand part of GTA's appeal is that they have asshole characters with redeeming qualities, but Niko literally has nothing redeeming about him. He starts the game an asshole, and ends up a super asshole. For five bones, it's worth a play if you've never played through it. But like all Rockstar games, be prepared for 99% hype, 1% decent game.

Most of my scores are on PS3, but I pretty much only play on PS4 nowadays. I'd rather play real pinball, too. I'm a pretty bad CAG, but I don't know that I'll ever be bad enough to drop a grand on one game

You should get Guacamelee. It's a great game and really not that hard. I doubt you would get frustrated playing it and have a mental breakdown.

My friend has Taxi, Star Wars, Gorgar, Comet, Demolition Man & Nightmare on Elm St. Then my brother has Adams Family, Star Wars, AC/DC and waiting for Wizard of Oz to be delivered. I'm lucky to have plenty of choices to play real pinball with great friends.

But I don't have Bioshock 2 yet. :)

For the flash sale...Mark of Kri is supposed to be pretty good, right? Not sure if $5 is a good price or not. Need to look ino Arcania as well.

Edit: Just watched Arcania gameplay. Looks p terrible in combat. Kri looks quite good, though...and reasonable-looking despite its age.
