I mentioned DA because it has been very cheap and has been out for a while now.

I don't have an X1, but they seem to offer a lot more for people who pay online IMO. I like the PS4 as a console, I just have never downloaded a free PS+ game that I found very appealing.

Of the VR games I have bought and played and are on sale:

Pinball FX 2 VR & Star Wars Battlefront: Frisky's post is accurate. Pinball FX provides a cool viewpoint of the tables, more like a real life viewpoint than Zen Pinball, but I do prefer Zen. Battlefront's lone VR mission is like one of the more involved training missions. They could build a mode around it if they felt like it.

Thumper: Agree with awp, great game without VR, even better with. Easy recommendation if you like rhythm games.

Tethered: It's a god-like strategy game. You hatch creatures and direct them around to gather resources and build up their village, which is on islands floating in the sky. Don't know what it does beyond that, as I have only played thru the tutorial, but I like what I have played so far. Really would like to get back to this one. But with the madness of the holidays and trying to squeeze out a software release, there are more than a few games that I have acquired since Black Friday that have been neglected.

Sunset Overdrive is the only game there that rates for me, as I owned the rest elsewhere or hadn't played the prior game (Banner Saga 2) to be excited about them being offered. We'll have to agree to disagree there.

The real value of PS+ and GWG for me are the deals that offsets the money spent easily if they're good enough, which is where XBL Gold has been lacking for me unless I go out of my way to spend more there than I'd normally bother. XBL Gold tends to either offer prices not on par with the other services or gets them late enough that I already own them elsewhere, so that's a place where they need to step up.

Died a bunch, especially at first. Started figuring out the weapons, stances, enemies, systems. Opened up the short cuts. Progressed, but more that I was persistent than any good. I rushed thru, cause I had forgot about it and started playing it a late Sunday evening. Got the DLC unlock with less than 5 min. before the demo timed out. I like it, reminded me of Onimusha. Didn't play the later betas/demos, already decided I would buy it. I'll wait for a sale tho.

At first I didn't enjoy it, but it grew on me. But yup, the ki pulse thing restores some stamina among other things, so it can make bosses/enemies easier and quicker to kill. The faster you kill, the less you get hit obviously. The problem (for me anyways) is I'm too focused on trying to dodge all the attacks that I either am not able to pulse, or I'll get hit or killed because I'm paying attention to the timing of the pulse rather than dodging. Getting too old now and can't keep up lol. Took me like 4 hours just to beat the first part of the last chance demo.

Did you ever have the disc version installed that could still be there? Sony is stupid about that as you have to have your system wiped clean of any previous installs or DLC before you can install a digital copy.

No I didn't. Went to psn to download there is no option to download, but on XB1 had to download regular one first.

Doesn't appear to be downloadable yet but Rainbow Six Siege is having a free weekend from February 2nd-5th.

its something I have yet to experience in a vr game. You have the option to play the game via "god mode" where you can watch the gameplay from a locked camera point and view everything around and also a locked camera angle to the character of the game. within seconds of this angle, i felt motion sick and i usually never feel sick. play the demo to get an idea of it. I really enjoy it

They just patched it with more camera options so there are traditional "follow" settings and even more details within those options. I like the game but it appears likes it's a game with lots of obnoxious trophies which makes a plat tedious. It's a really surreal experience in VR though and I have to say it's pretty memorable.

Yeah, you're seeing that right. The regular Madden is more expensive than the Deluxe and Super Bowl Editions that offer more content.

Maybe. But it's fun as hell. I play it on my Galaxy Tab everyday during lunch with a Moga controller. The auto targeting still doesn't make it a cakewalk since it still has permadeath.
