Ok so need some advice, I am thinking of picking up The Division, I am not much into multiplayer but it sounds like solo play will be enjoyable for the campaign missions but not so much in the dark zones (or something like that) so trying to decide on wihich version to buy it is $20 more to get it with season pass, but can't tell if the expansions are to the missions or the dark zones if anyone has played it and can advise me it would be appreciated.

Ah. I got the game within two months of release and have sunk a ton of hours in it. In fact it's only been a couple of weeks since I stopped playing for a couple hours each day. Single player is fun up until you reach the level cap of 30. Good progression, passable story, fun missions. Lots of weapon types and loot to suit your play style. When you hit level 30 and finish the SP the game changes. Getting better loot to upgrade your character becomes a slog. Playing alone won't get you better gear easily because the tough missions that net good stuff can't be done solo. You have to team up with others, and your experience with public matchmaking varies. The randomness of the loot drops means that you have to keep replaying missions if you want to get something decent.

The SP alone is worth 20 bucks I think. The SP is fun and will last a week or so if you play only a few hours each day. The game would probably be more fun if you had a friend or two to level up with, but soloing SP is fine. If you plan on playing it right away go for it, but if not it might be better to wait. The devs said they'd release an update in October that would improve the end game experience. If that holds true I might come back to it.

Note that PS4 receives DLC a month later than Xbox. All currently released DLC is now available on both platforms, but there's one more upcoming DLC that Xbox players will have access to first. All paid DLC is multiplayer (co-op and PVP) focused.

While DLC sometimes goes on sale for some games, it usually won't. Having full priced DLC at all times is how publishers justify putting the full game on heavy discount during various sales -- they hope enough people buy it and like it enough to buy the dlc.

There are exceptions, of course, but that seems to be the dominant business model for DLC

I think it is well worth it at the sale price. The season pass got a bad rap because how much it was but there is more than enough story content to make it worth the price. The Batgirl and Season of Infamy are good and each about 1 and 1/2 hours and the Nightwing and Robin DLC is only like 20 to 30 minutes like the Red Hood and Harley Quinn DLC.

yeah I bought infinite warfare + RoI when psn was doing the $100/15 promo, played a LOT during vanilla destiny and came back for taken king, will come back again for 2-3 weeks and prob quit for a while. Played a few hours this week, PVP is still hella fun but its weird coming back since you have no idea how the hell to go from light level 250-300 to 335 like everyone else has. PVP loot drops are all dropping 280-285, apparently the patch this week made it drop lower level stuff but it will "work again" once RoI actually unlocks next week.

Not every game announced goes up for pre order on PSN

It went up for preorder on the UK store almost a month ago now I think. The devs said on their Twitter that they would announce once it was up on the NA store for preoder and have not said anything about it since. So while yes not all games are up before release it is odd that this one in particular isn't yet.

Anybody liking where RE 7 is going? I got into the series with 4 but never got to 1-3 (which many say are the true survival games of the series). Thanks to the Humble Bundle, I finally got to play RE 1 and I'm truly enjoying it even with the crazy amount of back tracking the game makes you do. It seems like RE7 is trying to go in a new direction (Just like 4 was innovative) but still have a RE 1 feel to it aswell. After watching the newest trailer, it seems as if the game is more tailored made for people who will being it with psvr.

Ahhh. Wasn't aware of that. Yea. That is weird then. I got this on PC but never really got around to playing it. Might end up getting it on my PS4 if the trophies are good.
