I went onto the playstation website (I googled $100 off $15 and went to the playstation website blog post). I then logged in, went back to the article, then clicked a HELP button somewhere. Well Megadimension neptunia and digimon cybersleuth are good prices.

Not a bad price for sword art online lost song, although hollow realization just came out so not sure if worth it.

I will say that xcom enemy unknown plus runs like total ass on the vita. If you MUST play it on the go, then it's there but I can't really recommend it as it's the worst version of the game(compared to PC/consoles)

I play multiple games at the same time and keep my Xbox One and PS4 in built in bookshelfs. Paying the digital tax to not have to get up and change games is totally worth it. Plus I never have to go into a Gamestop ever again for game trading purposes. Bonus.

Ditto. And the digital tax in many cases on XBL was just low enough for me to bite (on newer games). Hopefully PSN will be the same later this week.

Yeah I cut the rest out because it was not what you used to argue against his point. That part just states that you bought some games. The gist of your argument was based on a comparison of apples (digital store fronts i.e PSN and Xbox store) to oranges (retail stores). It's clear you prefer PSN for some reason. I personally have no loyalty other than to my pocket. Therefore the place with the better deal gets my money. At the moment the Xbox Store has the better deal on newly released digital games. I will be waiting till this thurs-Friday to see if PSN can match or do better as I have a 20% off code I want to use.

That confused me too because I wasn't comparing retail. I'd be happy to list all of the newer game digital discounts on XBL that IMO are pretty impressive knowing that retail will almost always be cheaper

I seriously thought really new games like Battlefield 1 and TF2 would get menial 15-20% discounts at most on digital.

But that's just my opinion and like I said I have a feeling PSN will have similar sales come Thursday.

Why is there a problem with me relaying personal thoughts on why the newer retail stuff in the sale isn't that important to me because of other recent sales that diminished their impact? That affects the appeal of both sales and changes what interests me.

There is basically 100% zero reason to upgrade to a Pro if you do not have a 4k tv and many would argue the upgrade isnt even worth it then. Do some research on digital foundary and educate yourself but there is virtually no performance difference on games unless you own a 4k tv and even then some games actually run worse in 4k mode then 1080p mode on 4k tvs. So unless you have PSVR(which sees minimal increases with the pro) or a 4k tv I would say its not worth the upgrade, unless of course you have a buncha trade in credit laying around at gamestop then Id say go for it esspecially since you can trade in the OG PS4 for 190ish right now.

I am gonna pass on the pro and Ill get the ProUltra or whatever they end up calling the system that replaces the pro next year to compete with scorpio because unless they are already working on a PS5 I highly doubt the PS4pro is the last iteration of the PS4 we see.

It's worth it. Would be more worth it if you hadd hdr.

As far as games running "worse" you're giving up some framrate for much higher detail. Some games let you play at a locked 60 fps 1080p over 4k 30 fps though.

I'm not sure what you're implying there, but I'm looking at these sales based on what personally interests me and not any sort of objective measure. I wasn't arguing anything against his point either, as I was just saying my impressions of the two sales has a different outcome based on various personal factors with the retail stuff being the key factor for me that affects the appeal of the higher-priced items in the sale. That you two want to lecture me about what factors I should be allowed to use in my personal opinion is a bit weird.

A general summary to everyone, there are too many good games at good prices in these sales to be worth starting dumb arguments over relatively minor differences between the two sales. Buy whatever interests you most and enjoy the hell out of it. Or buy it and never touch it as you see it go on sale for even cheaper as the resentment inside you festers into black ooze in your cold hearts. Whichever scenario best fits you.

I am going to trade my ps4 for a pro at gamestop but i have a bit of a complicated question about the hard drive. I put my ps4 500 gb hd in my ps3 a while back. Can i just take that 500 gb out of the ps3 and put back in my ps4 and my ps4 will automatically format the drive again?

For example i am initialing my ps4 with a 1tb hd but i will take that hard drive out after it is finished.

Will i have to initial my ps3 with the 500gb drive before i put this original drive back in the ps4?

I have the pro with a hybrid hdd, my experience with it is overall an improvement over the launch ps4. On a 1080 TV I notice slight graphical fidelity and something like call of duty infinite warfare single player really shows. In the end games will only get better.

I spend more time complaining about XBL sales not being as good as PSN sales so all I was saying is that -- again IMO -- this is one time where the opposite is true for games I am interested in.

I am going to trade my ps4 for a pro at gamestop but i have a bit of a complicated question about the hard drive. I put my ps4 500 gb hd in my ps3 a while back. Can i just take that 500 gb out of the ps3 and put back in my ps4 and my ps4 will automatically format the drive again?

For example i am initialing my ps4 with a 1tb hd but i will take that hard drive out after it is finished.

Will i have to initial my ps3 with the 500gb drive before i put this original drive back in the ps4?

You just need a thumb drive with the latest FW update (800-900 MB version) on it to do the full format so they'll take it. That's all you need to do since the PS3 and PS4 reformat any foreign hard drives that are inserted into them.

No deals on the exclusives I want, lame.  Just got my PS4 Pro and boy-howdy are the HDCP handshaking issues a real blast... at least LG is addressing them unlike the other manufacturers (from what I've read).  Hopefully Sony and LG get it resolved, because it's annoying.

Otherwise, like the PS4 Pro so far.  Plan on playing Uncharted 4 this weekend and grab a few more exclusives (PC gamer primarily).

I prefer digital, so even though I got it for $28 from Best By the other day, I'm going to return it and pick it up on PSN. After taxes, it's only $1 less.

What is the tax rate where you live? I got Overwatch from Best Buy via shipping and it was $29.17 after tax. Would've been more in-store since I get charged about half the local sales tax rate when ordering something for shipping but still about $4 cheaper than PSN.

Tax is 0.08875% here, so I paid $30.47. On PSN, I believe it would come out to $31.50 with the 10% off code.

Heads up regarding tax - I used to get charged tax on everything on PSN store.....till i started buying gift cards.  Wallet purchases are not taxed in the US.  Check into this!
