Still no opinions or Grand Kingdom or Attack on Titan (Vita/PSTV version)? Thinking of waiting on Attack on Titan as it probably will get cheaper, but slaying giants -- even disturbingly naked ones -- does look fun (do not have any knowledge of the anime though).

Attack on Titan was fun for me to keep entertained launch week, it's especially better if you never watched the anime or read the series because basically the game is a recap of the first season. It'll eventually get repetitive but it should be a blast and run through campaign at least once. Bonus if you have buddies who pick it up and want to play multiplayer. If you can master Armin then everyone else is a breeze.

Quick separate question: Has Witcher 3 base game ever been cheaper? I have the DLCs already but I flipped the base game way back before the GOTY was announced cause I figured I can get it cheaper when I eventually replay it.

Yeah, I would group the mainline series by similarity in atmosphere and gameplay as 1-3, 5-6, and 4 separately. 0 and Code Veronica are closer to 1-3, but incorporate a partner system that's like a precursor to 5-6.

0 did, and 4 is close to 5-6 without the partner.. though Ashley CAN fit that bill at times.

I cashed in my points at the end of week2 on Monday and got my certificate Wednesday on my account as well as the email with the code in it. I didn't use any real world money, just points. I'm telling you this because I did get an email confirming my order with the subject: "Sony Rewards : Order Confirmation". It doesn't have an order number or anything but it does have a link to sony rewards for "Contact Us" for dealing with issues. I'd find that email, and follow that link or at least hit the site, log in, and see what you can find out. At minimum they should refund your points if there was an issue with your debit card or something.

I agree with this. Would be a fine addition as long as it doesn't negate another PS4 game. If there's only two PS4 games and one is VR, I can only imagine the comments on the PS Blog.

They could go with a game that plays on both like Thumper (which is ing awesome even without VR). Although I'd say it's doubtful they would pick one of the very well received games so quickly. Thumper was even on a few GoTY lists.

Its basically the base game, which was given with PS+. Along with:

Giants DLC; Ship Wrecked DLC; Don't Starve together, Which is a stand alone game that has online co-op; Two Dynamic Themes.

All that content alone minus the base game is $25-30. So if you enjoyed the base game even somewhat i think its worth a purchase.

Also i bought re4 on ps3 yrs ago and never could get through it because it was too boring. I appreciate that it revolutionized the 3rd person console shooter but it is not my cup of tea. I enjoyed the re1 remake on ps4 a lot more and i like what i played of evil within (by mikami) before i took a break to wait on the dlc sale.

I guess i like video game horror more moody, scary, gory and methodical like silent hill 2 and 3

i loved evil within. akuma mode was kickass and one of my proudest trophies. i need to play it on ps4 but don't know if i have it in me to plat it again. i loved how akuma was not only one hit kill, but also spiced the game up alot by introducing late game enemies alot earlier than lower difficulties.

That was supposedly also how the next-highest difficulty (Nightmare) worked, but I agree that it made the game way more awesome.

I looked forward to buy the game in its nearly complete version for a long time, that's a ultra buzzkill

It's a game from 2009 with the same interface it launched with. But the next game, Street Fighter x Tekken, does let you preview costume lineup in-game.

That PS+ lineup for Vita is weak as . Where's slidecage at?

Day of the tentacle is a game I'd been wanting to try, plus this war of mine on consoles is supposed to be great

I could see why some don't like indies but for games I've never played this is great

I don't know any of the games for January but I have to admit I'm a bit disappointed we aren't getting any games with a bit more mainstream appeal.  I figured with all the PS4 systems they just sold for Christmas, they'd want to make a real push to sell these new customers on PS+ subscriptions.  I can't imagine anything here really moves the needle for your everyday gamer.  I wasn't expecting Uncharted 4, but maybe...The Last of Us?  Maybe that's just wishful thinking.

They probably expect the holiday shooters and annual sports games to be the real sellers of PS+. When those communities die down during the spring and they want to recapture gamers for the summer, they will probably offer better free offerings.

Not a bad lineup; been wanting Titan Souls since it released.

If anyone hasn't played The Swindle, I highly recommend giving it a shot.  I paid full price when it released and don't regret it at all.  It's a great rogue-like similar to Rogue Legacy where you can keep upgrades after you die, but it's on a time limit.  Very tough game but also very replayable and addicting.

Anybody know if they fixed the server issues with RE6?  had it for the ps3 but finishing a level was impossible without disconnecting. I really want to know if they actually have better servers now?
