It's alright. It's a beat em up roguelike, so you'll end up doing a lot of runs and end up with different weapons/loadouts/etc based on what you find during each run. Like a lot of roguelikes, it's tough at first but you will get the hang of it over time.

I didn't think it did a great job of pointing you where to go. Also the camera moves fast and isn't the best. I like the art style tho. Would be easier to recommend if it was a little cheaper.

I really want to try out Stardew Valley based on all the good things I've heard about it, but I heard that there are issues with it on the Pro, which I use as my primary console. Has anyone here noticed any issues and its it really game/system breaking?

I had no idea they had gotten that cheap. Might have to pick up one just to play some of the games I miss like Demon's Souls (STILL easily my favorite Souls game).

All preowned and refurbished PS3s are on sale this week at GameStop as part of the current weekly sale. If you want a PS3 that will last a long time, I'd recommend getting the superslim PS3 for $109.99 if you can afford it. Mouse fart quiet, fewer moving parts, less power consumption, and they're darned cute! I already own one and I'm planning to buy a backup since PS3 has so many games that you can buy on the cheap. I would recommend sitting it on its side, though, since the air vents are on the bottom and the back of the case. Strange design choice.

And, speaking of PS3 games, the only game I can see from this sale that is a must-have for me is Way of the Samurai 4 for PS3. If I'm not mistaken, the physical copy is really hard to find in the U.S. I think it might have been a PAL region exclusive, but I like oddball games like Way of the Samurai 4. But last week's flash sale spoiled me. I saw games that cost more than $5 this week, and I groaned. Sigh.

Oh, Way of the Samurai 4 is on sale for $9.99. I don't think it's been this low before. This looks like it could appeal to fans of the Yakuza series, especially since the samurai installments for that series might never come here. I have a disc copy of Way of the Samurai 3 on Xbox 360. I would assume that Way of the Samurai 3 on PS3 is available in disc form since the DLC is available for purchase on PSN, but apparently, you can't buy a digital version of the game on PSN. And, I think that the disc version of Way of the Samurai 4 is PAL region only, although I could be wrong about that. The great thing about PAL games is that they're playable on PS3 because the PS3 is region free. The only physical PAL region game I have in my PS3 collection is Battle Fantasia, which I acquired from another collector. In any case, Way of the Samurai 3 isn't particularly rare on Xbox 360, just uncommon. I've seen it at GameStop more than a few times. I've never seen Way of the Samurai 3 or 4 for PS3 at a GameStop.

Then if you are ever in the mood to play one of them and don't want to wait for a download/paranoid about the vita store shutting down, transfer it over from the PS3.

PS3 fat units YLOD almost as much as original 360s RROD, I would avoid buying one.. the super slim has the least mechanical parts (no slot loading drive) and therefore will have the least chance of mechanical failure but they are ugly af.. the later slim models have the same shrunk power efficient chips as the super slim and look the nicest imo so that's the one to seek out. You are looking for a 160GB model # CECH-25xxA or CECH-30xxA or if you don't want to worry about model numbers the 320GB was only offered on those models.

You can't download infinite times, because the length of time Sony will grant access to the PSN store isn't infinite. We don't know when it will be, but it is guaranteed that at some point we loose access to our digital games.

It's still an issue. If you can endure framerate drops during explosions, it's still fun to play, but it'll definitely sour a bit of the fun since one of the major points of the game is the major cause of its issue.

And honestly, games like that play just fine even without a controller. Although turn based JRPGs are better suited for mobile, I really have enjoyed playing a lot of Square Enix's mobile ports -- some more than the console versions.

You aren't worried about digital access because the PS4 is the most successful console in the world? So was the Wii and I would guess that the eShop won't be up a whole lot longer. It is really hard to know how this will play out over the next several years/decades. I have my original NES and Mario/Duck Hunt cartridge and can play them now if I want. In 30 years it seems unlikely that my PS4 will still work and it seems even less likely that I will be able to download my digital games onto the system if it does.

It played well enough on the Vita, you could definitely tell it was originally a phone version. Controls and camera certainly weren't redone for Vita.

So I beat re7. It is not a very long game and is pretty linear, but it was a neat experience. I am not sure of any games that do what it did well. I would say rent it since lack of multiplayer means this will not hold price for too long.

Play time came out to 8:08'23'' so take that what you will. seems like an easy platinum too if you are into that.

So I beat re7. It is not a very long game and is pretty linear, but it was a neat experience. I am not sure of any games that do what it did well. I would say rent it since lack of multiplayer means this will not hold price for too long.

Play time came out to 8:08'23'' so take that what you will. seems like an easy platinum too if you are into that.

I'm not 100% certain of this since I already own it, but it appears that the Don't Starve Mega Pack sale is stacking with the deal you get if you already own Don't Starve via PS+ or purchase. So if you've got it you can get the Mega Pack for $6.47 with PS+.

Got my physical copy of Yakuza 0 yesterday.  Pretty awesome job Sega did on that launch day version.  I still have Gravity Rush 2 from last week to open and play (showed up Friday with my Dragon Quest 8 3DS preorder)... but I think I'm going to give Yakuza my attention first.

Honestly I'd say go for the standard version. The game runs terribly and the explosion-happy DLC doesn't help. The only decent DLC vehicle is the wingsuit attack version anyways.

I did a lot of exploring. I ended up missing 5 of the collectable coins and 4 files if that tells you anything useful. The game can be beat in under 3 hours if you know what you are doing.

I do plan on doing a speed run and a madhouse play through.

RE7 sure sounds like a nice $20 or under game. Sounds a bit too short for my taste. Course I remember beating RE2 back in the day renting it and beating one part of the story overnight and the other part the next day.

Anyone have any thoughts on Mount & Blade?

I love Warband (over 500 hours on PC) but without mods and keyboard support it really depends how much you like fighting without strategy. On PC, you can download mods that allow you to choose your troops and placement before battle (mod is called Pre Orders and Deployment) and this makes timing much easier. Don't care and just want to swing a sword? Go for it.

BTW, I haven't played the ps4 version, so please correct me if ps4 has mod support or whatever.

You aren't worried about digital access because the PS4 is the most successful console in the world? So was the Wii and I would guess that the eShop won't be up a whole lot longer. It is really hard to know how this will play out over the next several years/decades. I have my original NES and Mario/Duck Hunt cartridge and can play them now if I want. In 30 years it seems unlikely that my PS4 will still work and it seems even less likely that I will be able to download my digital games onto the system if it does.

I really don't care if you dislike digital, or are scared of it. I used to have a ton of cassettes. They're in the trash now. All my VHS is in the trash now. All my dvds are sold now. And I skipped bluray because of streaming.

Comparing Sony to the Wii misses the point. The playstation back catalog is worth a mint. Even if Sony went bankrupt tomorrow, it would be profitable for a company to buy PSN and maintain it. Or simply break it off earlier.

I mean, you're talking about how you don't even think your PS4 will work in 30 years, yet you're worried about having physical for it?

I owned a ton of great games from the 80's. Everything from Ultima to the original Wasteland to many other classics. But you know what? Even though I owned them, who has an Apple II, or a IIGS, or any other relevant hardware lying around? Very few.

But you know what we do have? Demand to play those games. So what do we get? GOG and Steam, letting us play all those games better and easier than ever before, all patched up for modern computers. And digital.

If my child self was worried about his gaming collection I'd tell him: STOP. It's not worth stressing about. Buy what you want to play. Because in 30 years, you're going to be able to buy this game for a dollar during a GOG sale, and then never play it anyway because you've got a couple thousand other games to play.

In 30 years, I bet you it'll be easier to play some of the games I bought on PSN decades earlier digitally than it is physically.
