Call me a cheapass (isn't that why we're all here anyway?) but I can't seem to pull the trigger for GTA 5 at $30. Mostly because I played through the story on Xbox 360 and never really got into the online portion of the game and I can't see myself doing it much now either. Perhaps if/when it hits closer to $15/$20 I'll be more ready to grab it up for PS4.

Just curious, did you buy the recently released Stern Pinball Arcade for either PS4 or XB1? Wondering if it is worth it, I did get the original Pinball Arcade for PS4 (and I have both consoles, so I often double dip on physical games).

I didn't buy Stern Pinball Arcade yet. I think it's too expensive for just 3 new tables.... will reconsider once Ghostbusters is released and/or the price drops a little further. PS4 physical is currently $33 on amazon.

Rambling Stern Pinball Arcade info:

There's a demo version with MS Frankenstein, but that's the only table that you get for free. Any Data East/Sega/Stern tables that you previously purchased in Pinball Arcade aren't unlocked on the PS4/Xbone versions yet. That feature is only on other platforms so far... but Farsight has mentioned that previous PA purchases will be unlocked in SPA for PS4/Xbone owners soon. The tables are direct mirrors of Pinball Arcade though, even the leaderboards are mirrored between the games, so the only advantage is that those 7 older PA tables will be available through both front-ends. Also, the free download has eight trophies for MS Frankenstein... and they're the only trophies in Stern Pinball Arcade so far, even if you buy the retail disc or both $20 table bundles.

Right now, Stern Pinball Arcade only offers three unique tables. AC/DC, Star Trek, and Mustang. AC/DC and Star Trek are in the $20 table pack #1, Mustang and the upcoming Ghostbusters are in the $20 table pack #2. Each table bundle includes a few of the older tables from Pinball Arcade too, in case you didn't have them already.

The $40 retail release includes the three new tables, Ghostbusters upon release, and the 7 older tables from Pinball Arcade. The Xbone retail disc also includes 3 Limited Edition arcade variations of AC/DC and Star Trek tables. The LE variations are Xbone exclusive, for now, and are included on the retail disc or available as an extra $10 upgrade for the table downloads. Farsight mentioned that the $10 LE upgrade will be available on all other platforms later. (The PS4 box art on amazon that shows the LE variations included is incorrect, and the final product was changed to remove the LE variation call-out)

I highly doubt it. On Xbox One, the game does a full install from the disc due to how the DRM was originally planned. The PS4 is more akin to the PS3 in that it only installs needed data to the HDD and pulls the remainder from the disc. Because of this I doubt they will ever change the install type from partial to full. At the same time, that is a good thing, because right now I have nearly 5TB of Xbox One games due to install sizes being so large.

No joke, Activision just assumes that everybody who plays CoD is going to play online only. If it was just the games by themselves I might be interested. Frustrated, I googled severed to find out the relese date to help narrow down my search window. Results showed that it was made by drinkbox software. This sounded familiar so I searched my email for drinkbox and it turns out I bought the drinkbox vita collection back in December for $6. I guess I can't be sad about it going plus if I only paid $6 for it and two other games

There was talk about people being mad about severed just being on sale then going straight to ps plus so I checked and already owned it. Couldn't remember when I bought it or how much I paid so I started looking through my email receipts and couldn't find anything. If you didn't have the other games already then you still got a really good deal. I started the game the other night and it's worth it at least, even if it is salt flavored and I can only play it for a little with all the swiping.

At the risk of spouting hyperbole, I think Severed is one of the best Vita exclusives I've ever played because of its super-responsive swiping and the addictive battles.

FYI Ultimate Marvel Vs Capcom 3 was released for both the PS4 and XB1 on physical disk today, $29.99 and includes a small (10 page) comic inside the case. This release is a Gamestop exclusive:

I already had guacamelee on PS4 and xb1 and maybe had mutant blobs on PS3 before I bought the bundle. But I felt good about my purchase at the time anyway. I just didn't remember now that severed was a part of it and was freaking out just a little because the store said I owned it but couldn't figure out why. I was a little afraid that there was some glitch and then I'd get screwed out of the game later down the road. But now that I know I actually own it, all is good
