Thinking of picking up Wonder Boy as I've never played any of them.

I had never heard of this and just happened to come across a video suggestion on Youtube today while checking something else out and watched it because the splash looked neat. Looks absolutely beautiful and even if the gameplay is a bit simple because it's a retro port it still looks like a lot of fun. I'm sure there will be a sale soon enough though.

I'm definitely interested in that one, but $20 for a Wonder Boy game with new graphics is a bit steep for me. Apparently you can swap from new to original art on the fly (like R-Type Dimensions and SF2 HD Remix), so I guess that means the game is exactly the same. The new art looks really good though.

You can even use old passwords in the new game to continue progress or whatever weirdness they might contain.

The top selling "game" will likely be an app where you stare at someone's butt for an hour and a half before having to use microtransactions to buy another 90 minutes.

In all seriousness, games have had trophies for a lot longer than they were actually called trophies or achievements. Remember all those "Skill Points" in the original Ratchet & Clank on PS2? Let's face it, those were Achievements even if they weren't called that. Trophies are just a meta game that makes it fun to 100% complete a game. I happen to enjoy collecting trophies as part of my gaming experience. If even a get-rich-quick clicker indie games like "My Name Is Mayo" can have a platinum then it doesn't make sense for a professionally-developed game, indie or not, to skimp on one. For me, cutting out the meta game of collecting trophies is pretty much removing a lot of value from a game, so I'm not going to pay an exorbitant price without them.

I guess the dev of My Name is Mayo threw enough money at Sony to be allowed to have a Platinum since that's apparently what it takes for smaller games to have one. Or, we could agree that we all enjoy games for different reasons. Some of us enjoy trophies, others don't and it jus doesn't matter. Similar to how some people like sports games and others like RPGs and some like both and other gamers choose something else entirely.

I think a lot of it also has to do with the fact that P4 is widly considered one of if not the greatest jrpg ever made and while P5 is really freaking good I dont think its nearly as good as P4...least not imo

I like it but not as much as I liked Persona 4. I don't think the characters are as endearing plus the pace is absolutely glaiclal. Too many long stretches of sitting there reading or listening to dialogue and pressing X. Now I don't recall everything about P4 since I played it in 2008 but I don't remember its pace being this slow. Maybe it's my patience wearing thinner as I get older but I've had to give P5 a break and play something more involving before I take on what I assume to be the last dungeon.

I definitely agree on the pacing, some times I would get frustrated just sitting there pressing X when Morgana wouldn't stfu or when I'd be forced to go to sleep or something. But after the 2nd boss I'm completely in love with the social aspect and music. Also, the combat is ing phenomenal. I think that's the only reason I got tired of the dialogue sometimes, the combat is too good!

I just wish the characters were better. I ultimately think that's why P4 is a better game then P5....the P4 characters were just so much more likeable and I actually gave a shit about them....most the P5 characters are forgettable.

Not sure if it's been asked, but is anyone else having this problem? On the PSN website I cannot see my full history of downloads on Download List, it only shows a few purchases I made today and sometimes while refreshing shows nothing.
