I've had my PS4 in multiple locations/positions, and nothing really changes. I've had to keep my PS4 vertical because mine has that thing where it just continually spits out the disc if I have it flat on its side.

Isn't that because it heats up the rubber pad directly underneath the eject button and expands its into touching the eject?

I had that issue, you just pull the rubber pad out a bit so it's not fully inserted on the bottom OR keep the ps4 elevated off the surface by using like hockey pucks, or what I used was beer bottle caps than the soda caps.

both methods worked for me to stop it ejecting.

Yeah when you have rpgs in your backlog it only tends to grow not shrink no matter how many you finish a year.  I've finished 4 games so far this year 3 of which were 70 hours.  Hopefully stella glow and chrono trigger can both be finished quickly so I'll be at 6 games by the end of june.

Chrono Trigger is only 20-30 hours. There are multiple endings and a New Game+ though.

Is Shadow of Mordor still worth playing? I got $32 in my PSN wallet and this is the only game really jumping out at me from this sale that I have yet to play.

Yes. It's a bit janky at times [running around the environment, especially... jumping and climbing just isn't as smooth as it should be], but overall it's a great experience. The nemesis system is truly brilliant, a brand new gaming innovation in a time when that sort of thing is very rare. Enemies that defeat you rank up, get promoted, and you'll see them again tougher than before. And they look great, too. Beyond that it's your basic 'open world' game, with some nice base attacks made more difficult by the prevalence of sub-bosses. Combat is pretty solid in my opinion... ranked up subbosses get more and more 'immunities' to make them tougher, which doesn't make sense 'real life' wise [how can you be 'immune' to fire or ranged weapons], but from a -gameplay- perspective is great and keeps you from spamming the same attacks... some late bosses are immune to almost everything and you really need to work to kill them [in a good way].

I didn't even realize this was a ps3 game when I played/plat'd it... now just typing it I kind of want to rebuy/replat on ps4.

I'm in a very similar boat as you are with regards to Fallout but managed to platinum Fallout 3. I think you would dislike 4 even more than 3 as it's even more dumbed down than 3 was both in story and mechanics.

I can't comment on the quality of the PS3 version in relation to any bugs or glitches since I played these games on PC, but Fallout: New Vegas blows Fallout 3 out of the water. The story, dialogue, quests, companions and characters are much more interesting and unique compared to Fallout 3, and there's more replayability since there's like 4 endings compared to the 2 in Fallout 3 (both of which you just choose at the last moment of the game).

In fact, part of the Obsidian team that worked on New Vegas were former Black Isle members (the ones who made the original Fallout games) so New Vegas is closer to those than it is to 3. As for Fallout 4, well...it's not all that great to be honest. I liked it more than 3, but it still wasn't that great.

I grabbed it. I was thinking about the physical copy, but had no idea it was gonna be a super limited thing. The way I see it, GCU and Prime would save you 20% if a physical copy was ever sold there. Getting the bundle for $35 on psn, rather then $40 for just the game, is about a 15% savings. Good enough for me, and getting the first game to boot.

I ended up grabbing Overwatch GotY, Mordor GotY, and Star Ocean 3 since I had around 56 bucks in my wallet and a 20 % off code from upgrading to the PS4 Pro....I wanted Star Ocean cheaper then 21 but with the 20 percent off made it a bit more decent and since it looks like the best Star Ocean aka A Second Story is never gonna see a PS4 release in the west then Ill settle for probably the 2nd best game in the series.  As for Mordor I wanted to play through it again before the sequel later this year.  Overwatch is much more fun then I anticipated as I generally hate FPS but it seems to take itself a lot less seriously then most FPS and seems to be a bit more nooby friendly at least with some of the heros that is.

I resisted when it first released, but just broke down a short time ago and it's just finishing the download. Loved the first game and want to support the developers, hopefully for more good FPS games like this. I was a bit annoyed by the lack of a regular disc release in N.A., but I just ordered the SRG copy to deal with that.

As said above the bundle gives you about 15% off (I already owned the first game digitally), so at least we got some discount.

A lot of ppl were disappointed by fallout 4. I personally play the series for the writing and characters. It's ok as a game but a letdown following new vegas imho.

Yes they do. I bought mine a couple months ago, got the code, and it said that the code was expired when attempting to use it. The expiration was December 2017. Dealing with Sony customer support was a nightmare to get it rectified. They had me take a million pictures and talk to four separate associates on three separate days and then took another week to get a working code. Good luck. Hopefully your code works.

Can someone sell me on Fallout 4?

Quick backstory -- I grew up playing the FO games [and Wasteland] and loved them. I was intrigued by FO3's take on the gameplay, but didn't like the writing and absolutely -hated- the bugs in the ps3 version and never ended up finishing it. I bought NV cheap but never got around to it. And so I -want- to love FO4, but I still feel burned by FO3 goty edition on ps3.

If you didn't like the writing in Fallout 3, you won't like the writing in Fallout 4 any better. Unfortunately, I don't think it's really a game anyone plays for the writing. That said, it sure has its moments, and there are some good characters. You need to like The Bethesda Open World Game in order to like Fallout 4, though. You play it primarily to around in a big world. If you like the story/writing/etc, that is a huge bonus. You might or might not. I dig most of their worlds and writing. It will not be a whole lot like Fallout 1/2, though.

As for Fallout 4, well...it's not all that great to be honest. I liked it more than 3, but it still wasn't that great.

Don't be silly. Of course it's great. I think in a lot of ways, it's one of their worst games, but it's still great.

I like it, but not as much as Fallout 3. Fallout 3 is one of my favorite games of all time. The VATS system was one of my favorite parts. The shooting in Fallout 4 was my least favorite part.

Guess I'm shallow like that.

This is typically my issue as well, but being shallow has nothing to do with it my case, so much as a lack of time. 10-12 hours is my sweet spot for getting in & out, no muss no fuss. LOL
