If you didn't like the writing in Fallout 3, you won't like the writing in Fallout 4 any better. Unfortunately, I don't think it's really a game anyone plays for the writing. That said, it sure has its moments, and there are some good characters. You need to like The Bethesda Open World Game in order to like Fallout 4, though. You play it primarily to around in a big world. If you like the story/writing/etc, that is a huge bonus. You might or might not. I dig most of their worlds and writing. It will not be a whole lot like Fallout 1/2, though.

I just found so much of it cringe worthy.

Part of that is that FO has always had a very specific sense of humor... and it felt like FO3 understood that it needed to have a very specific sense of humor, but completely misunderstood what that sense of humor was.

That's my take on it, anyway. Probably different for those who didn't cut their teeth on the original.

Yes they do. I bought mine a couple months ago, got the code, and it said that the code was expired when attempting to use it. The expiration was December 2017. Dealing with Sony customer support was a nightmare to get it rectified. They had me take a million pictures and talk to four separate associates on three separate days and then took another week to get a working code. Good luck. Hopefully your code works.

Probably. I cut my teeth on the originals, though, pretty literally. I think I was like 14. I was young enough that the blood and guts really freaked me out. I suppose I never expected the Bethesda Fallouts to be the same. Fallout 4 tries to be really serious at times and falls kind of flat usually (except when it comes to Detective Valentine, who is always on point, no matter what it is that centers around him, and it's worth playing just for him). Codsworth is another example of where the humor goes, and I think it works well there.

Anyway, I think you should give it a shot. What do you have to lose? Unless you don't like open-world Bethesda RPGs, in which case, no, don't bother, no matter how much you liked Fallout and Fallout 2.

Last Blade 2 was ported by SNK themselves, and the price is $14.99, whereas the first Last Blade game was ported by Hamster Corporation as part of the Arcade Archives series (ACA), and all those ACA games are priced at $7.99. LB2 had a lot of extra content (gallery, etc) while all the ACA ports are more just straightforward ports from the arcade versions (but well done).

An easy way to find all the Arcade Archives Neo Geo ports is to just search for the phrase "ACA". They're pretty good ports that look good on a flat screen TV, albeit fairly pixelated due to the low resolution of the original games.

For anyone who is considering that Ace Banana / Pixel Gear bundle, Ace Banana is easily the worst PS VR game and one of the worst games I've ever played. I play a lot of games and I can usually find some redeeming factors in even bad games, but Ace Banana is a horrific mess. Pixel Gear isn't terrible and it's a pretty easy plat.

Yeah they've been all over the place with the flash sales the last few months it seems. They might work one in for Father's Day weekend like they did for Mother's Day so I would expect the next one to either be June 16th or 23rd.
