Yeah, they're going to replace and hopefully release more classics not available under the new "Sega Forever" program. The old versions will go away.

The new ones have an IAP to allow you turn off ads for like $1.99.

Watch some gameplay trailers. I wanted to dive into it but from my understanding you have to beat the base game to even get to the expansion. Plus monthly fees, I can't do it. Work and family, there's no way I can group up with people and effectively grind my way to bosses.

On the other hand I Morrowind can be played solo, however you can run into other players on story missions breaking immersion. Imagine npc saying "your the only one who can do this!" And some other player jumping behind them doing the same mission.

It's fun and I believe there is a free trial on PSN that lets you get to level 30. There is a mountain of content in the game even before you get to the most recent expansion. Most of the game is designed where you can play solo and the instances where you need to group up there is a party/duty finder. The main story for the main game and the first expansion isn't the greatest but the story in the new expansion seems better so far.

I absolutely love FF XIV, but I am an MMO fan :) The story, the music, and the visuals are all top notch. The majority of the community is also great! You do have to do all of the story from the base game before you can play the first expansion, and then all of that story before you can do Stormblood stuff. They do sell an item now that lets you skip the story, but I really recommend you go through it at least once :)

They have a free trial up to level 35 now, which will give you a decent feel for the combat and the game. Combat is slower than other MMO's (due to a longer global cooldown), but by level 50 / 60 you have many abilities that make it feel a bit faster.

Once you complete the story, it does kind of follow the typically MMO pattern - do dungeons / raids for gear, then repeat when new content comes out. But there's also a casino, pvp, chocobo raising / racing, housing, glamour, etc.

Is there a link to the trial on PSN? I looked for one and I couldn't find anything. Thanks so much for the input. Maybe I will just run the trial and see. I used to play WoW hardcore for years, but quit because the game is so stale and not fun anymore.

Also is it true you can buy the disc copy, install it, and then never have to use the disc anymore? I wanted to take advantage of the GCU discount.

I keep hoping for a sale on Castlevania Harmony of Dissonance dlc. I loved that game on Xbox 360 and would play it again on PS3, but not at full price for all the dlc :(

So I currently have jackbox 1 and 2. Main games we play are fibbage and drawful. Is pack #3 or drawful 2 standalone worthwhile? We felt like we were getting too many repeats with fibbage, but not so much with drawful so far since it seems to be a bit more random. Open to new games too if pack #3 has something that shines

I guess once you install the game, you can delete it and then download the digital client.

I'll give it a try tonight with the trial and see if I enjoy it before I drop the cash on the full version with all the expansions. Sucks there is a fee but if it is worth it, then that is a different story.

I know FFXIV is an mmo, but how much of this trial can be played without needing other people? I've been sorta curious about it but I'm a pretty shy person when it comes to playing with randoms, which is why I typically play everything solo.

forget maybe level 15 20 ish before you need to start grouping. their lot things you can do solo for awhile but the game based very heavy on dungeon questing that require grouping to advance the story an unlock new things. it a good game worth messing around little in trail version if nothing else.

You'll play solo until around level 16-18ish when you unlock the first dungeon. The story does involve a good number of dungeons, but there is a party finder that will search and place you in a group, so you don't have to form your own if you don't want to. The story to level 35 includes.. I want to say.. 6? dungeons. Most are relatively short and take under 30 minutes each. I know I've had groups clear the first few dungeons in 15mins lol

A lot of the end-game content is dungeons and raids, which require groups. Almost everyone is really nice though - they get a bonus for playing with newbies in dungeons, so that helps! The party finder will match you up with other people for everything you need for the story and all of the dungeons.

Yeah those are different, and they both seem to go on sale fairly regularly. So I would say get what fits your mood now and don't worry about it. 0 though definitely has more room to drop further, the first Steins;Gate was like what 3 bucks a month or two ago?

SG is supposed to be great if you like VNs, but terrible if you don't. I think you're supposed to play the other one first, so if you haven't, you should look into that. It's supposed to start out really slow but eventually be amazing. I hate VNs, so I'd probably have caved my own skull in before I got to the good part, and then I'd cave in the other side of my skull since the 'good part' would be terrible for me too.

[that said, I still bought the other one on deep discount recently, fml]

Trials Fusion will likely be great. You'll probably end up caving your skull in trying to perfect runs, though. I haven't played it yet but I keep passing on it [despite wanting it] because I know it'll lead to frustration trying to plat it.

With all of these deals, I keep running out of space on my PS4 and I have to keep deleting games.

I have been using a similar WD hard drive with my Xbox One for awhile and would definitely recommend it. It might even be the same exact model since it's the same basic specs and looks similar, but i'm very lazy, so we'll never know for sure...

Trials Fusion is nice, but it's just another Trials game if you have any experience with them from Xbox. They're definitely fun. I'd actually say it may not be quite as good as the earlier once - almost like it was too big budget and too polished. There's plenty of content included, though, so you'll get your money's worth.

I know this is an older post, but does anyone know if the community is still active? I played the game briefly on X360 as well, and liked what I played, but I wouldn't bother again if there is no one to play with. Way too grindy for me to do without others.

Trials Fusion has been on sale several times, so if you can only choose one, I would bet that it will be on sale again in the near future and go with Steinsgate.

Some questions....

1) How good is MGS 5 Phantom Pain?   I remember playing the beta and liking it, but didn't have much time for it.   I remember hearing about all sorts of microtransaction issues or something for base building?  How did that turn out?    Is the 'definitive experience' recommended?  There's no chance I get that (only want to spend $10) so I'll pass if that's required for some reason.

I'd wait on it but $10 seems like it might be the low price for awhile...  but maybe I'm wrong on that.  [I'm waiting on Hitman to hit around $15, which is hard to do but I have a massive backlog so I'm forcing myself]

2) How about that Fairy Fencer game?  Seems like a great price at $10, so I sort of want it, but I know I probably won't play it for awhile...

3) Has anyone played the Vikings Wolves of Asgard game?   Is that related to the one from last gen [which was kind of fun, actually].   I watched the vid, looks like there's even some base building?  

4) How are the 'super hero women' pinball tables?

5) How is the lego movie game?  I have a little boy who is almost ready for [limited] gaming, and already own the marvel lego game so am in no rush, but wouldn't mind knowing.    I'd pick up the Lego City game in a heartbeat if it was cheaper, that's right up his alley.

6) Same thing - how is that Monster Jam truck game?   My kid would just grind the car into the walls and such, but he loves monster trucks.  I've found some racing games are perfect for him [they reset the car alot, etc] whereas others are not... just wondering how that one is for the less skilled as more of a 'sand box' driving game.    The game doesn't need to be perfect, it just needs to be something he can grind around in without getting stuck constantly.

7) has anyone played sylvio?

MGS V is very good. One of the most well polished games I have ever played on release. There are micro transaction (MB coins), but they are not necessary and it in no way takes anything away from the game. For $10 you should absolutely get it since I can't imagine them making it any lower any time soon.

I don't know what beta you are talking about unless you mean the prequel Ground Zeroes.

I messed up and didn't get Party Pack 2 when it was on sale, but I did decide to bite on #3. I haven't had the chance to play #3 yet, but I can definitely vouch for Drawful 2. It's probably one of the Jackbox games I play the most. Almost exactly the same as the original except more prompts and you can use two different colors when drawing.

 
I purchased steins;gate 0 for $11.99 on the ps4 store and downloaded the entire game. However, the game on my ps4 says ineligible and there is a padlock on the lower right corner of it. Why is this?

Clicking on the game on my ps4 home menu says it needs to be purchased and it takes me to the ps store. There it is available to purchase. Luckily i caught the error and did not purchase it a 2nd time.

The receipt was emailed to me like normal and the game is on my transactions list on the android ps app. How did the ps4 screw up the transaction? The psn credit on my account was properly deducted as well.

I deleted the locked game and rebuilt the ps4 database to see what would happen. In the library the of my ps4 it shows that it can be downloaded but there is still a padlock on it.

How do i fix this issue?
(I used psn credit already on my account so i know it is not a credit card issue)

Looking up this issue i can only find something having to do with gamesharing. I just want to make clear that i have NEVER used the gamesharing feature and i started this account like 8 yrs ago and have never had this issue

Redownload your licenses on the console. It happened to me many times before and that should fix it

thanks. This partially fixed the issue but there are still problems. That is strange and I've been having similar issues like this more and more lately myself. Fortunately for me, so far it hasn't become this bad like you are saying but maybe try contacting Sony about it. Personally I would keep messing around first but that's just me lol try deactivating then activating the PS4 as a primary, doing a restart into safe mode and running the system software update (fixes 90% of issues since Sony can't make good firmware to save their lives), redoing your database again, then redownloading licenses, and if all of that doesn't work I'd say you're out of options and contact Sony support. At the very least when they ask you to do all those asinine things in an attempt at customer service you can save yourself the hassle and tell them you've exhausted all of your options haha

thanks for all the help! I then reinstalled firmware using a usb stick and tried other stuff. Finally i had to contact customer service and they said i went through all the steps to get it fixed and the only thing left was to leave it be or reinitialize the ps4. They said the actual transaction was fine and i should be able to install it from android app indefinitely. So that's a relief. I am not going to reinitialize my system unless i have further problems. Thanks for all the help
