Honestly, I like what I see from this sale more than even the flash sale, because I'm a hoarder of the PS2 classics stuff. And it at least got me to buy stuff unlike the several weeks of publisher sales.

Some of these prices are at least solid, but I also feel like most of the games I'm interested in will be priced lower (or at worst, the same) in the future.  Since they're likely to sit in my backlog for a while, that makes them an easy pass.

grabbed

onechanabra z2

senren kagura bon appetit

hatoful boyfriend

omega quintet

was hoping for akiba trip PS4/V mainly,oh well.

Way better. It feels like most of the stuff on sale is $3 - $5 higher than I would like.
Agreed! And some of the titles here have been on sale for even less before.

Every time Sony puts up sales like these, there are always people who would complain about how horrible the prices are. Yet these same people would buy them all up the last few days of the sale, so hence, Sony has no incentive to price their titles less when people keep paying the asking price. And there's nothing wrong with that since to some it's worth more of their time to buy these titles at a higher price now rather than waiting for months later for a chance to save just a couple of bucks.

I might get Atelier Escha & Logy but not sure with it being $4 higher than I was expecting.

Actually think I will pass. Will probably be $12-16 by the time I would play it. Went through it on PS3 already and the more I think about it with Sophie coming out in a little over a month I'm in no hurry.

Ok, so Dragon Fantasy The Black Tome of Ice is an updated PS4 version of Dragon Fantasy Book 2... and it's cross-buy with DF:Book2... so that's why it was free for me.

Really, quite a cool thing to get an upgraded port with a new name as a cross-buy title.  I must have added it to my wishlist when it was in pre-order in anticipation of it coming out.

One bad thing, though, is that it shares the same trophy list as the (worse) PS3/Vita versions.

Also, the demo for Nioh will be up today. It's only going to be up for a week or so and if you beat the demo, you get access to special DLC when the game is released. If you like Bloodborne and Dark Souls, make sure to check it out.

And they've already said that they're going PT on this one and it won't even be available for download again once the period is over.

Should I play yakuza 3 and 4 before I start 5, or will I still be able to understand what's going on? I don't own either 3 or 4 so I would have to go out and buy those seperately.

Right, right. So into the style Nioh is bringing to the table. Bummed I have to work all day and then have hours of schoolwork to do when I get home.

If you are a fan of visual novels I greatly recommend Hatoful Boyfriend for $2.50. It is pure visual novel, there is no added gameplay or puzzles, it is simply reading dialogue and making choices. It starts off exactly how it is marketed, but eventually contorts into a rare bizarre, macabre narrative. One of my favorite games I played last year.

my Hatoful Boyfriend (Vita) Review

Oh man, I would buy Mega Man Legends so hard for that price if I hadn't already bought it.

*moves Mega Man Legends 2 from cart to wishlist*

I might get Suikoden III just to throw it in the eternal backlog with the first two. Also heavily considering Digimon Story  :vita: since $20 was my planned buy price for it, but eh...I'd definitely play it right away so backlog isn't an issue, and I don't know when it'll go for cheaper, but I know it will eventually, so do I really want to buy it now...?

Any opinions? Cyber Sleuth wouldn't come with the launch DLC anymore, right?

There is way too many anime RPGs for me to even look into for a novice like me.

Yakuza 5 is probably the cheapest I've seen it.

Vita owners should check out Severed by Drink Box. New exclusive vita game, Drink Box made Guacamole probably their most popular game.

Is Hatoful Boyfriend really a 4 GB download for the Vita version? Or is that a combined size with cross-buy?

If it's smaller I may try it, but not going to shuffle games on/off my loaded memory card to impulse buy a quirky VN.

Looking at some vita games to grab.

The ps4 games dont seem like good sale prices since most can be find at retail for the same price or cheaper.

Gonna grab the hard to find (or not available at) retail vita games:

Hyperdimension 3 (with past sales, i got the entire trilogy for $25 digitally.)

and either Dungeon travelers or Atelier trilogy (since its digital only).

Btw on the vita side, looks like a mostly Atlus (ofcourse) and Idea factory sale.

Absent from NISA (disgaea, demon gaze, criminal girls, operation abyss, danganropa)

Xseed (Akiba trip, trails of cold steel, Ys, Valhalla Knights)

I would like to point out that this is the first time the digimon game has gone on sale ANYWHERE (other than 20% off GCU at best buy)

Anyone play any of these "Arcade Archives" such as Double Dragon I+II, Gradius/Lifeforce, etc?  Just wondering if they are good ports of the real arcade cabinet versions

Thanks and also I never even heard of the game before but I looked it up and I'm interested now.

Also some guy from vg247 said this "Our man Arekkz takes you through just over 30 minutes in the video below, and according to him “it’s hard as hell, to the point it almost makes Dark Souls looks easy.”

I'll have to see for myself but them some strong words. Glad you get some bonus stuff for the full game beating it.

I have Double Dragon and Mat Mania. They are the exact ports as the arcade, with the same tricks, glitches (beneficial ones) and everything else. I have a buddy that I grew up with, and we used to play these two arcades everyday. When he flew in for a visit recently, I bought both of these games, and he agrees that they are perfect ports. Good times.

It's a brilliant way to get people to play your demo.
