Can't believe Oreshika is $5. I paid full price the day it came out. Worth every penny. Waited years to play it and it finally came out here. Sort of worried to see it so cheap.

Is it a tradtional JRPG with towns, or like modern Compile Heart/NIS which have little more than 1 town which is just a menu?

Finished my Top 10 list for 2015 and the overall staff/site Top 10, which will go up next Thursday and Friday. I'm curious to see the reactions to both, so I'll post a link when they're live.

We did have one of the devs working on Brut@l on our Day 0 Update podcast, if anybody is interested in that.

I see Driveclub with the season pass is only 20. Does that include the Bikes expansion?

I remember having an awesome time in Burnout Paradise with the bikes.

If not, I'll wait for a complete collection.

Does not include the Bikes. The $20 PS+ price has been there for months FYI.

I didn't even notice it until someone posted the 14.99 price on the previous page. I still haven't found a silly driver that I have as much fun with as I had with Burnout Paradise.

And thank you for the information.

Definitely not a traditional JRPG. The towns are basically menus? But dungeons are extremely explorable and way different than most games.

The way the game works is you have a 'family' [squad/tribe/clan]. You're cursed, though, and you age quickly and can't mate with humans, only gods.

Your units start out fairly weak. Every turn is a 'month', and you can choose to do one thing per month -- for example, raid a dungeon [which will level characters up].

When they reach their prime you want to mate them with a god to get more powerful offspring... though that too takes a turn, so you need to plan everything out a bit -- is it better to mate this turn or go out on one more run first?

While it sounds like this means there are time limits, there really aren't. For example, the next 'boss' might be found in a certain dungeon in November... but if you miss it one year, you'll just be that much more powerful the next November and nothing is lost.

There are an absolute ton of beautifully illustrated gods (some humanoid, some not), and mating with them may 'mutate' your clan visually. So if you care, you can try to give your clan specific visual traits, like, say, green skin or extra eyes or whatever... some people put a lot of care into this, trying to breed a certain look... or you can just ignore it and go for the best god you can afford 'stat' wise, or whatever.

Dungeons are fluid, wildly designed caverns unlike most games -- much more 'realistic' if you will... winding paths, multilayer'd tunnels where one might spin under another, and not grid based... harder to map, but very visually appealing. Time passes while you're exploring, so you sort of want to speed around exploring/finding things, but again, even if you 'miss' getting where you want to, there's no real penalty and you can just go again next year. For example, there might be a boss hidden really deep on a level that takes a long time to get to... if you miss your chance, just try again later.

There are so many cool mechanics in the game. I actually never finished; I burnt out trying to breed super powerful characters never really advancing in the story. Still, highly recommended, and I paid full price day 1 -- at $5 it's an absolute steal, because if you like the game you'll -really- like it.

I don't know if there will ever be a complete collection, or if there is it might be years. Get it now, is worth every penny and you won't find a developer who continues to support the product like they do.

Need to hit up Walmart tomorrow and spend this $40 gift card on some PSN. Would be awesome if it's a $1 or under flash sale, those are the best. It most likely won't be but I like to dream.

Would be nice, haven't had one in a while. Though the way things have been going it will probably be all the worst ones from the previous sales repeated.

Enjoying what I've played of Amplitude so far. The Frequency tunnel mode is pretty neat, though you have to beat the campaign in the normal Amplitude-style to unlock that option. I'll have a video up on Youtube in the morning for those that want to see it in action.

I loved the series on the PS2, grabbed it and even many of my friends liked it.

Does anyone know if the Batman LE PS4 (the actual LE one not the regular bundle) is the updated one with the physical button change on it? I had picked one up to be my bedroom PS4 but think i want to make sure its not going to have the same shitty beeping problem i had to deal with on my main PS4

Has Brandish been on sale before? Feel like I would have picked it up already.
that was the first time Brandish ever went on sale, and it felt like an eternity before it did go on sale. I've been playing it since last week, and it would have been worth full price.
Huh. My bad. I must be confusing it with something else. I could have sworn i saw it on sale before.

Orshika tainted bloodline I would get that but I don't like the concept idea of characters dying every 2 years thing but I did enjoy the demo.
They die, but they leave behind more powerful children. Like, WAY more powerful children because they're mating with gods. Don't think of it as dying so much as leveling up.

Physical controls make it a much better version IMO. The content is the same; bUT thegame plays great on the Vita. And at $2 (as mentioned), not much to debate.
Anytime there are two identical games, where one has physical controls, and was has touch screen, the physical ALWAYS gets the higher rating from me as well. There are a few touch screen only games that function rather well, but those are few and far between. Physical controls FTW!

It will probably be newer games at higher than BF prices like last year. Not getting my hopes up.

Apologize for reporting what has already been reported. I don't exactly follow every post, not since I've been forced to browse on my phone. I'll be careful next time.

Where have you been living under? Jiyrn found the flash sale holding page since yesterday. You are welcome! ;)
It feels good to be recognized, even if it might be sarcasm.

Ok, someone help me.. I know of a saying from a movie (I think an animation)
"I'm humbled by your praise, however faint" and I am curious as to what it is from.

Don't take things too serious around here. Have a great Christmas!

Hope you got some good single player games for Christmas.
I do. Was already planning ahead. But the fact of the matter is PSN has only been attacked this past Christmas. That major attack on its infrastructure that happened 5 years ago was something completely different. It wasn't a bunch of kids trying to sell their wares, like this past Christmas. Now the same kids are at it again, only under a different name. They are not fooling anyone, besides the guy that gave them $300,000 worth of free service for them to stop attacking PSN and XBox Live permanently. You can't stop a DDoS attack, which any kiddie can implement without even trying. Only companies like Google who owns the internet infrastructure can stop its own DDoS attacks.

For what it's worth, I'm on mobile too and saw your post first. And he was just having some fun, no worries! Happy Holidays!

Would anyone recommend LittleBigPlanet 3 in its current state? I know on release it got pretty mediocre reviews. Does anyone know if it's much better than before?

I rented it while it was in RedBox
I wasn't very impressed, it didn't even have as tight a feel as the other LBPs.
