hasnt been a good vita title all 2015 so why would they start now.... heard rumor vita is being taken off and more ps4 games very soon
Oh for fuck's sake. You 'hear rumors' about shit like this all the time because you shit talk vita in your sleep and think it's god whispering sweet nothings in your ear.

Speaking of which how did everyone do on their gaming goals this year?

Mine was to beat two games a month which got bumped up to four a month. Had some months where I didn't hit four each month (like when I slipped back in to WoW) but hit 48 total this year so I'm counting it an overall success/something really depressing. Think I'm going to aim for 20-24 next year so I can feel to indulge in longer and multiplayer focused games. Trying to fit four games in a month definitely influenced some of my choices when I might have started a 40+ hour game instead or have wanted to spend more time with a multiplayer title or something without a traditional end.
My number one goal was to quadruple post in a row in this thread before the year came to a close. As long as no jackass responds in the next few minutes, I'm good to go.

Other than that, I plat'd all the drpgs that came out on vita, which makes me happy, except I want more.

My only complaint is that I didn't add as many games to my backlog as I wanted to... I really miss not actually playing NFS and Rainbow 6.

I did well on my goal. I drastically cut my spending on games. I spent zero for three months in a row and spent less than $30 total the whole year. I didn't get to play more but the free PSN games seem to satisfy my need to get more stuff and if I wait long enough, the game I thought about getting will be free. Plus I didn't but Final Fantasy 7 even though it came with a wicked theme.

Games completed (at least once to the end but NOT new game plus or above the minimum necessary)

Child of Light Grow Home

Bastion Journey

Transistor Tennis to the Face

How I wish I could say that this year I won't buy any games I won't immediately play.
I've been doing my best to stick to this strategy, and man does it work. At least in the "actually playing what I have standpoints. Also went all digital.

Its nice that my PS4 only has:

Destiny: The Taken King - I'm catching up after stopping in December last year

Arkham Knight Premium - Already 100% without the DLC, so not touching this until its all released.

Rocket League - Play when I dont have big blocks of time

Star Wars Battlefront - Yet to start this, but got it for free, so it can wait

Resogun - Awesome game

Between juggling this with my XB1, not really as bad as the overwhelming backlog I have from last gen really. The holiday sales make it tough to say no, so if I buy anything, I don't actually download it until I'm ready to play it. Looking at you PS+ games.

I picked up a bunch of cheap games for my PS4 in the last couple months. My goal is to beat at least 3 of them before I pick up any more. I'm thinking I can knock out infamous 2nd Son, Order 1886, and Sword Art Re: Hollow Fragment before I get tempted.

I can never pass up a good deal, don't have the discipline to do so, so I will continue to grow my ridiculous backlog.  I imagine I don't have enough time left on this planet to finish everything I own, yet I will continue to buy.. I think there needs to be a CAGA.. Cheap Ass Gamer Anonymous..

Happy new year everyone!

Pretty good way of going about it. Infamous 2nd Son and The Order 1886 are both doable since they're pretty short, but good luck not getting tempted while going through SAO.

Heads up, the Agatsuma Entertainment-published Umihara Kawase titles have been delisted from Steam. The delisting of the Vita version is likely inminent.
Thanks for the heads up, will probably pick this up along with a couple other things from the holiday sale. Makes it better that the 20% code from that star wars pack will work too.

Apparently Sony has a different definition of what constitutes a calendar than I do. Says my code that expires 12/31 is already expired.
Same here. I just got mine and wanted to use it. Any recourse? I've heard Sony's customer service is pretty terrible when it comes to this stuff.

Played through half of The Last of Us on PS3 and finally got the one glitched trophy that was keeping me from the platinum.

Played and platinumed my first From game with Bloodborne and absolutely fell in love with it.

Platinumed Rocket League and still play it. That one came out of nowhere.

Was very stoked that Helldivers made a case for co-op, headset online gaming. I generally hate that but the online community was (still is?) stellar.

Managed to find time to read a couple gaming related books as well. Highly recommend Masters of Doom and Extra Lives.

I got a coupon code with my PS4 for 20% off a PSN purchase. Tried to use it today on the website and it gave me an error message, incorrect platform. Does it have to be entered on a PS4? And does it only work on PS4 games? Thanks.

So, for the PS4 HDD swap. All my saves are already online. Trophies synced. Downloading the fresh install OS. That it?
When you check ALL your cloud saves to copy back, look through the list, for some reason some games only let you download their save game data alone. I can't exactly remember why, early on in the Plus cloud saves you were only able to sync your saves once a day, it was something about gaming the trophy system.

Also the day(s) it'll take you to re-download and patch your ps4 library.

I'm not understanding that first part.

Thankfully, I only have like five games installed thus far. That should go fairly quickly. Downloading everything in addition I know will take forever.

Sounds like you are good to go, just make sure you download the correct os file (you said fresh install os so I assume you're on top of it), I initially downloaded the wrong one so it was a slight hiccup when I installed mine a year or so ago.

Can't download saves that I don't have the games installed of. Minor hiccup, as I'll be able to start downloading them in a couple hours (data cap resets and goes unlimited).

Some of the codes only seem to work through the PS4's store, so I would try that if it doesn't work on the PC store.

It took me about ten minutes to being back ready to play something. Time it when you want to play an indie game or something with a short install time.

Oh man, that is turrible news about the 20% coupon expiring early. I really done know why companies wold be so strict on that stuff.

I sent out a tweet to playstation support. Doubt anything will happen, but it was worth a shot. Seems crappy that the codes ended so early.

Derp, forgot the Marvel LBP bundle sale ended this afternoon.  Oh well, that's $15 I really didn't need to spend on costumes for a game I don't play anyway.

Yeah, I explained it bad, heres an example, I have selected copy all but you can see some are grayed out. (alice the madness returns are all gray) I can copy them back but the gray ones need to be copied back one by one (Otherwise all my games saves are selected example being my assassins creed a asuras wrath saves). I don't know if this applies to the PS4 because a did a full backup and restore using the built in feature on the PS4. My PS3 HDD failed and I am now redownloading everything, so this may not apply to the PS4.

What's good? Everyone's Gone to the Rapture seems to be the only worthwhile thing.

I have a 20% coupon burning in my pocket that needs to be used though.

Good luck with that.
Sorry, I'm still sore about the coupons expiring early.

Bold pick for #1! Good list but why no love for Bloodborne?
I was the only person that played it and even then, I didn't play enough to put it on my list. As a site, we have to purchase the majority of the games we cover, so not everybody has the disposable income or time to get to everything.

Seems like a solid list, though the lack of Bloodborne, as mentioned, is glaring. I do like the overall variety though, though I've only played a handful.
