I feel your gaming pain. I kept waiting for it to go down over the holidays, physical or digital didn't matter ...prices where high. Then last month , thanks to a couple of great post from the community, I ended up paying $ 27 for digital and couldn't be more satisfied.
 
Metro Redux worth $9? Also, I know there's a demo for both 2033 and LL Redux on the PS Store, but does anyone know if trophies unlock from that if you upgrade to the full game afterwards or do you have to start over?

 
Is infamous second son and first light worth picking up? I enjoyed the original infamous but never got around to playing infamous 2. Are they all tied together story wise?

I really liked Second Son and how well it played.

It's a good follow up to the first two games.

I thought it was pretty good (not sure how the DLC is, but I got that free on PS+ so I'll play it sometime.. Can't decide if I should buy Second Son for $10, because I don't know if it'd be worth playing a second time and it might be $5 later in the year or a free PS+ game.

 
In for jumpin flash. Doesn't look like it aged well but have fond memories of it as a kid. Possibly tomba too. I recommended parasite eve but I own the actual games.

I should add that I also had the 20% off coupon,so that helped...don't know if their still available but could be worth a look
As for my$40 , I'm thinking of grabbing all these RPGs from back in the day as well as ATLAD. I'm bummed I waited too long to get Destiny dlc last sale and don't know if I'll really commit to Taken King and the expansions...decisions to mull over this week...

It is not. There's some references that are probably mild spoilers to the canonical story line (think it's good in all the games) but I haven't played any of them and enjoyed SS just fine as it is it's own game.

 
Is the Need for Speed Rivals: Complete Edition worth it for $9? I'm not huge into racers by any means, but I've been looking for something casual and fun in the genre.

Maybe one day Black Flag will drop to $10...

 
Bought Vice City since I have fond memories of it, and to see how it looks up-rezzed. Looks pretty bad (which I expected) but forgot how clunky the controls are. Oh well...

I recommend every PS1 game at their price point but FF Tactics.

Not love for the GTA Trilogy? Seems worth checking out for $6 a piece.
 
Pulled the trigger and got AC V:Gold Edition, NFS: Rivals Complete, and Metro: Redux for $38.

I already had Metro: Redux from when I got it it during Best Buy's B2G1F sale so I paid about $11 for it. I'm planning on selling it at a local game store for $8 so I'm losing a couple of dollars, but it's worth it to have the game digitally.

I would love to get Watch Dogs: Complete, but I already paid $10 for a chipped Gamefly copy that didn't start, and then $15 for a new copy at Target. I really just want the DLC, but that's $15 alone so I'd rather just pay the extra money to get the main game as well. I just can't find a place to sell my copy for more than $2.

 
Anything worth picking up with that Essentials sale? For PS4 or Vita? I usually get bored of games fast, but then it's a sale and not sure if there are gems... I prefer RPGs. Any heads up? :D

Suikoden and Xenogears are widely recommended.

Oh, and Chrono Cross, of course. But not Chrono Trigger.

It is if there's still an active online community (I play on X1 and it's an EA Access game, so there is there at least). It's just so fun playing as a cop and busting lawbreakers. It's a little like Mario Kart because you have weapons at your disposal like an EMP blast to shut down their engines or spike strips to shred their tires. And the game is great at notifying you when a chase is in progress, so other cop players will join the pursuit, and when you have three or four cop cars chasing down a perp, it's just amazing. The player that makes the bust also takes the illicit racer's money, so you're actually a crooked cop!!!!
 
Just noticed this is the first time xenogears has gone on sale. Now just put Threads of Fate on sale square enix and we'll call it even.

Nothing I want here sadly. Already have most of the rpgs here from other better sales or in physical form.

Flash sale in this month last year was better come to thing of it since the majority of the games were 99 cents. Picked up like 10 games from that sale.

The second option. The PS2 GTA games have significantly better versions on PC and are probably cheaper, I'd just buy those.

meh they are entitled to their opinions but I played the game and its a mess combat wise and class wise. And the camera in particular is absolutely awful. Reminds me of disgaea in the item world. Whoever thought designing a camera that way never played these games. Only noteworthy thing about it is the very eloquent ye olde engrish story dialogue. Otherwise its easily the weakest srpg I have played and I'm actually a fan of the genre. Fire emblem arc the lad ect are all titles I have enjoyed. Anywho I've heard the mods are wonderful though for helping with balance issues and such but I'm too lazy to be bothered with that. And I'm not good with applying stuff like that either.

Is anyone else tempted by Project Cars at $12? That seems like a really great price on it. Can anyone sell me on it or talk me out of it? I know it's supposed to be super realistic but can you adjust things to make it more casual?

I can't stress enough how much I love Tomba. Very, very recommended. If not through this sale then through emulation (could use cheats and make it easier, since it is admittedly kinda hard).

I own well over 1000 games if you count my digital copies, and have played way more than that in my lifetime. Tomba consistently makes my top 5 list:

Grim Fandango, Tomba, TMNT 3: Manhattan Project, Borderlands and Half Life are my top 5 list...sometimes I switch Bioshock 2 in there though.

I see your logic, but also see mine: I was ready and willing to spend $9 only to find out that I had exactly $9.05 in my wallet that I had NO idea existed.

To me, that is as good as free. =D

EDIT: And it's not like I could have spent that $9 on anything else but Playstation games lol
