So tomb raider DE or Sleeping Dogs DE for ps4?
Not sure which is a better deal, which is better?

Tomb raider is $8,Sleeping Dogs is $10.
They're entirely different games, so it depends on what flavor you're feeling. They're both worth more than the sale prices. If you have the cash, buying both wouldn't be a bad idea.

Now I remember, Sleeping Dogs is open world.
Tomb Raider is like uncharted.

Sleeping Dogs seems better to buy now, tomb raider has had more sales.

So tomb raider DE or Sleeping Dogs DE for ps4?
Not sure which is a better deal, which is better?

Tomb raider is $8,Sleeping Dogs is $10.
Sleeping Dogs is incredibly underrated. Think GTA in Hong Kong and with a far better hand to hand combat system.

NON-PIRACY DISCUSSION:

I'm thinking about buying either Final Fantasy Origins, 3, 4 Complete, or 5. You guys usually have good opinions on games so I need some help choosing.

I loved FF6 and FF9, both the battle systems and story were fantastic

I liked FF12, story was pretty good and the battle system was different

I thought FF7 was alright, maybe all the nostalgia hype ruined it for me as I didn't play it until the PS2 era.

I hated FF8, the battle system was grindy as hell and Squall was too annoying to be redeemed by the rest of the story.

Any recommendation on which one to get?

EDIT: Separate question, Legend of Mana worth checking out or does it feel inferior to the FF series?
Origins is decent, but incredibly archaic.. if you can get the PSP versions of 1 and 2, (Physically or one day digitally) get them. They fixed many of the more problematic systems.. at least in 1.. 2... 2 is just bad IMHO.

3 is good, but like the other 3D remake, there are some major balancing issues. Both in difficulty, and over balancing of certain classes (Scholar and Ninja). This is the base of the entire class system

4 Complete is worth it just for 4 itself in the upgraded visual, new content, and better translation

5 is good, and has some great ideas but I always felt punished for not being the specific class combination the developers wanted me to be at certain bosses. I tried to keep a traditional structure of tank, healer, and 2 dps but would regularly feel like I am getting steam rolled.

Is this a good place to ask if tere are any psn membership deals going on?

If not where is the appropriate plce to ask?

Fine here...most recent was $39.99 on Ebay through Newegg I believe. They had many, many....i'm sure that price will come up again...man i missed the $30 days!

I honestly didn't like Crypt of the Necrodancer that much...though I did beat it twice in 23 hours played. It's alright but it gets boring way faster than other roguelikes though it's fun for a while. I think once you stop unlocking stuff...kind of loses a lot of its luster. Great soundtrack though.

Oh, that's cool, I didn't even know Gravity Rush was coming out this week. Hopefully they price drop the dlc on the Vita version this week as well.

Likely get Sleeping Dogs. I remember always wanting it for ps3, but never bought it.

Tomb Raider might have to wait.

Is there a thread or something I'm missing that updates ps+ Membership deals?

There's no way to transfer my PS3 save to this version is there?

There's probably some quests I didn't complete even though I beat the story. Don't want to start over though.
No Cross Save support.

You know when it's getting released?

I assume it's done, just waiting until Microsoft lets them release on ps4
Most likely about a year after the Xbox One launch in the Fall.

Is there a thread or something I'm missing that updates ps+ Membership deals?
It's the front page of the Deals forum.

And a far worse gun combat system.
By the time that comes into play, you're nearly done with the campaign and have been able to fully enjoy the melee combat system to its fullest.

Watched some very brief bits of The Witness and it has me considering spending $40.  That goes against my inner CAG but I think I would do alright at the puzzles now that I know a little bit more about them.

I know this is kinda off topic but I just beat Life is Strange for the first time and I gotta say.  I absolutely l;oved the game up until about the last 5-10 min.  That ending royally pissed me off, either way  you choose it just kinda erases all the choices youve made up until that point.  Great Game I just feel DontNod kinda rushed the last episode and ending a bit.

Why don't you guys have +? Not enough online play to warrant it?

I just find it odd, I only let my subscription run out once and that was when I was away from home for ~5 months.

Grabbed a $20 card to finish off my Square/Enix purchases.  I ended up grabbing FF3 & FFX-X2 (Vita).  I already own the physical vita release of FFX (with FFX-2 as a voucher) but I haven't opened it so I think I'll just get rid of the physical version whenever I get around to making an effort to sell stuff again.  So now I have FF I -> X-2 all available to play on one system.  That's a nice feeling.  Hopefully someday we get Dragon Quest 1->3 on 3DS and then I can play the majority of the series on it.

Side note, I played some Xeodrifter and FF Origins FF1 last night after finishing Actual Sunlight.  Xeodrifter was a pleasant surprise.  It's very Metroid-lite which to me is awesome.  I finished one of the worlds in it before trying several times at another but dying before the end.  FF1 through FF Origins actually plays exceptionally well on the Vita.  No loading or anything and the the graphics & audio have a nice boost from the original NES release.  I think I may actually play the whole game.   it's weird but nice to play games without the hassle of trophies.  I had force myself to replay much of the beginning of Actual Sunlight to get one last trophy to 100% it last night because I couldn't fathom not just 100%'ing it so I could delete it.

I think it's a really hard deal to end a game in a satisfying way for all people. I don't feel it was rushed and felt that the endings were satisfactory for my playthroughs and I was really into the game.

I guess wasnt really rushed I guess i just felt that the ending kinda negated every other choice you made in the game up until your final one was my only gripe. Still an amazing game. And the soundtrack is awesome idc what anyone says.

Once Fire Emblem comes out on the 19th I can finally stop looking for a game to play until the 19th ...

Resident Evil Revelations 2 has been taking up a lot of my time. The first two chapters were lame, but now I really like the game.

This comment has nothing to do with anything related on this forum. Please ignore it and move on to one of the following topics:

- Sleeping Dogs

- What will be on sale next

- The Kanye _Whiz Falafel beef

- What games you bought, or what games you will buy and how you paid for them. In detail.

Any feedback on Murdered SS or Tactics Ogre or lower price predictions?
Murdered SS is a pass, IMO. Very clunky. Got it for a $1 and I regret buying it.

Tactics Ogre is worth full price if you like SRPGs.

http://www.amazon.com/Valkyria-Chronicles-Remastered-Sega-America/dp/B01B61X1UC/

The pre-order for Valkyria Chronicles Remastered has already dropped to $28.49, so that's 25% of the 20% discount Prime members should've gotten if it were not listed as a book.
First of all, this game should be bundled with Part II, which I'm guessing most people haven't played as it is on the PSP. You can get it on the Vita, but there are a number of steps to do so. Not like a regular purchase.

There are plenty of copies for VC out there available for the PS3 version for about $11.

Also, this doesn't really look "remastered."

If you've never played this game, worth your time, especially if you like SRPGs. While it is one of the greats, I doubt it has aged well.

Wouldn't be surprised if this dropped in price quick.

idk either.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/02/01/vote-to-play-march-2016-voting-begins-february-9th/

Sony's doing a new Vote to Play promotion for a March PS+ game between Action Henk, Assault Android Cactus, and Broforce. It starts on 2/9. As far as prices are concerned, all three are $14.99 on Steam.

Descriptions of the games:

Action Henk! - PS4/PS3/Vita

Publisher Curve Digital and developer RageSquid have put together a light-hearted racer where you run, jump, and — yes — butt-slide your way through a host of toy room environments with past-their-prime action figures.

It’s a game where timing and momentum are key as you attempt to outdo your opponents as well as your own past performance. How can you not love a game with the tagline “Butt-slide to victory?”

Assault Android Cactus - PS4

While the mechanics of this twin stick shooter will be familiar to many, developer Witch Beam has created a unique battery mechanic (in lieu of lives), providing a fresh experience that helps Assault Android Cactus stand out from the crowd.

This one also supports Shareplay, a “virtual couch” that lets a friend join your game for up to an hour at a time, creating an online local co-op experience. According to designer Sanatana Mishra, the goal with Assault Android Cactus was to make a game that he and the rest of the team wanted to play.

Broforce - PS4

While we didn’t know it at the time, Broforce is the game that we always wanted as we cheered beloved 80’s-era action heroes on to victory. Publisher Devolver and developer Free Lives have teamed up to deliver part irreverent spoof and part loving homage to what are now classic movies and classic games.

With its online co-op experience and over-the-top presentation, there’s a really great game here that deserves the heaps of praise it’s already received.

I kind of want Action Henk the most of the PS+ vote games....doesn't help I already have broforce on PC, though I would love in on  PS+ as well.

Broforce all the way baby! Actually just excited that it's coming to PS4!

It's a port of the PC version, so they're not going to do all of the work of remaking a PSP game just for this specific release. If it does well, they could bring VC2 and VC3 over as a bundle if they want to do the work on that.

That's probably because the art style still looks great to this day, so remastering isn't really going to make the game look much different than it did before.

They all look kind of okay. I want to get Assault Android Cactus since I like co op shooters like that, but we are getting Helldivers already. I never really liked that indie retro look in games and the market is just over saturated with them which is pushing me away from Broforce. I wish it was an actual Contra game instead.

The original version of Dying Light is going to be delisted with next week's update as Dying Light: The Following Enhanced Edition is released on PSN.
