I actually found a cheap enough internet plan that is cheap enough that I'm actually going to give this a go since it covers every channel I actually watch and will still leave me at half of what I'm paying right now for cable.

Not a good start that I sign up for the trial and download the app and it gives me some cryptic error.

BBC America's pretty great but I haven't watched it ages and they at least have pretty good streaming from their site if something comes up that I actually wind up watching. And you never know, if enough people ask for it they may try to get it.

I will say that navigating it with the controller is slightly terrible so hopefully it works better with the media remote thing and if so I'll likely end up picking one up.

I would be interested in updates on your experience with the service. I am intrigued, but I do watch BBC America. Hopefully they do add that (and PBS, though I only rarely watch that and not a deal breaker).

I plan to use it pretty heavily over the next few days and will definitely report back my personal experiences with it. PBS will likely get added if they add back in live local channels but I have an antenna for that stuff anyway.

IIRC, the last time it was on sale, $30 has been its lowest so far. NG'll probably again recycle that price point for tomorrow's sale. But it seems as though value on the remaster may take up couple more years, even digitally, to depreciate. I sincerely don't expect them to knock off the $50 tag on PSN until 2018 at the most.

So now that Vue is working I'm really digging it. Quality's been great and haven't had any issues streaming over wireless. Irritatingly it has channels that Comcast dropped from my plan long ago while charging me more. The interface is by far the worst part of it where it lacks that sort of effortless browsing you get from normal TV but is still plenty usable and hopefully will even evolve over time. Tested running it on multiple systems at the same time too so no issue there which is good. It's a bit worse on PS3 though where the interface has noticeable lag (like most interface things on the PS3) that isn't there on the PS4. Only issue I ran in to while watching several channels was that the hockey game on MSNBC was blacked out. It was unfortunate but that's likely on the NHL and not Vue as I hear they're incredibly restrictive with their streaming rights, though that will suck to have to stream from the PC during the playoffs.

Overall unless something changes I'm very happy so far and will be switching my internet over and going with Vue to replace the TV portion.

You don't have to be stoned to understand Doctor Who, just competent and capable of critical thinking. I seriously have a harder time understanding high school drop-outs using "fam" and "fleek" and "bling" than I do with their British pseudo-science that's usually more of a character-oriented drama anyway.

 
Spent the weekend playing through every mission, side mission, and encounter in The Division.
It really feels like a co-op game that they tacked MMO features onto.

I'm curious as to how this week's Naughty Dog sale will go.

I have the physical copy for the first title I got from amazon 2 years ago during their psp deals for 10$. Not sure if and when I would pick up 2 but if I did I would go for steam since its supposedly cheaper during their sales and the games can run on a toaster I have heard.

Not sure whether or not there are any minor or major differences between the two versions besides maybe mod potential and controllers since you'd be limited to a ps3/4 controller if the game is played on a vita tv.

Do note the 3rd game is gonna be steam exclusive.

There is going to be a Naughty Dog sale?! Nice. Although, I was hoping to get TLoU Remastered for $20 or less, but the last time it went on sale, the price was $30, so I think the sale price will be $25 or so.

 
Meh thanks OP. The only deals here are either standard 20% off for decent games, decent deals on bad games, or decent deald on decent games that have been on sale every single week, rendering it kinda moot. Waiting for PSN to go back to making good deals.

A $4 Titan Souls for example would've been a reality at this time a year or two ago.

I generally agree but this new Dr. is sometimes difficult to understand with his Scottish accent. Its pretty thick and he has a low voice which makes it ven harder to hear at times.

Holy crap that game is better than I expected (and I expected it to be good). If you like Dark Souls it is fantastic, and the 2D isn't as big of a limitation for this type of game as I thought it would be. I've fought a good way past the first real boss and it just feels so spot on - tough boss, but fair that gains more abilities as the fight moves on. The skill tree is extensive it seemed to scroll forever. Ska Studios is really showing how two people can get every facet of a game right.

Eventually it will come over the Vita with Cross Buy, but I'm not sure it is a great idea given the controller throwing urge that usually accompanies Dark Souls games ... :rofl:

Not with the pages, but I was looking up the individual games possibly in this sale and noticed TLOU for PS3 is $5.99 (PS+). So maybe soon it'll be ready. EDIT: PS3 online pass for TLOU is PS+ priced at $2.99.

I was actually just making a joke (apparently a lame one). Love Doctor Who. The only problem I have is sometimes understanding what is said because of accents (and/or British pop-culture references). I find myself rewinding a few segments over and over trying to figure it out.
