That guy seems to know what he's talking about. IGN should hire him.

Hey guys,I was wondering how resident evil 6 is on ps4? I need a gentle push and I'm going to buy it digital. 19.99 is okay for me, I remember enjoying the leon campaign on ps3 and I also bought the game for like $13 then
If Crapcom messed up RE6's port, I would be incredibly surprised. For all the numerous problems that mess of a game had, running poorly was never, ever one of them. Always ran like a dream and if you LIKED RE6 then, I can't possibly think of a reason why you shouldn't upgrade. There is no chance the port is going to be bad.

I sure wish they had complete megaman collection with all games
Capcom Japan has a survey going on right now specifically about Mega Man actually, asking what games/collections you would like to see. There was even a list of check boxes to request collections for every subseries of Mega Man. So I clicked them all haha

New freebie for today:

:ps4: Gems of War - PlayStation Plus Bundle - Free

Was surprised to see that it's available again even if you grabbed it the last time. There was a big update released that changes up quite a bit of the game:

Edit:

Just tried to get the stuff the PS+ bundle supposedly adds and got nothing, so it doesn't seem to let you double dip.

Gems of War is an absolutely fantastic matching/rpg game. I've been playing the android version for months, love it. I downloaded the PS4 version but haven't started it yet. Loved Puzzle Quest, and this is a great game of that style (I know the PQ devs worked on this game).

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/04/01/skullgirls-2nd-encore-roars-onto-ps-vita-april-5/

Skullgirls 2nd Encore will be out for Vita on 4/5 with Cross Buy support with the PS4 version, all DLC characters, Cross Play with PS4/PS3 people, and local multiplayer support on PSTV. There will be a new PS4 theme coming soon that's paid while a free theme for Indivisible will be coming soon. They're also working on finishing up the last patch for the game to add lobbies for up to eight players once this is out.
Whoa these guys are fantastic and really support the hell out of their franchise and fans. And they are responsible for fight sticks working on ps4. I feel bad for not buying skull girls but i will buy whatever their next game is just to give them some support.

Just a heads up. MGS Legacy collection (disc) is currently on sale $24 from amazon so that may be an alternative route to go since the psn sale is not breathtaking.

Update: looks like it is sold from most wanted fulfilled by amazon. 👎 unfortunately i heard they sell resealed games and pass them off as new so I'm gonna pass.

I've bought a chunk from most wanted over the years. I try to always avoid third party but when a game is out of print I don't have a choice.

I dunno if they do or not but I've luckily never had a problem

There will be no next game if you don't buy this one. Only Street Fighter and Mortal Kombat sell - the rest only sell a million copies tops, which is why there are practically zero now. Won't you love a fighting game today? (Their next game is actually a side-scrolling RPG - you can play the demo on their website.)

Just wishful thinking, the GTA sale coming up would be nice if they snuck in bully and manhunt on sale.

They won't and in a month they'll have a rockstar sale, I'm just impatient lol.

Yeah right. If you mean all Mega Man series that would be big like Sonic's Ultimate Genesis Collection and we don't get stuff like that anymore.
And am I the only one that hates how they changed the game pages on the PS4 store?
Not really there are only
6 nes
2 SNES
1 32bit
2 retro
5 Gameboy
1 Wonderswan
In the Megaman series. X, Zero, Zx, Legends, BN, SF are all separate series.

Ultimate collection had the first 8, but some weird emulation issues on 1-6.

gems of war update totally nerfed my venom weaver domination. glad to see lots of stuff patched tho, and tons of extra stuff added.

also added new buffs/status effects like burning/freezing/barriers. pretty awesome and more difficulty levels.

I thought the trophy for mastering your kingdom was the $ one, so i put 100,000 gold to bring my kingdom (forest of thorns) to max level but that wasn't even the trophy, its for leveling up the kingdoms troops/traits. doh, oh wells. I was gonna play this game til i got the 100% with level 100 but now they pulled me back in to get the grindy dlc trophies they added. i wish they thought of a better name then just patch 1.08.

also still waiting for hand of fate to update dlc trophies...

also im playing the mega man legacy collection, insane that we used to play these games without save scumming

Played the first three MM in the collection and I have no clue how I beat those games as a kid. 3 is fairly easy but 2 is pretty tough.

Definitely picking up Mega Man Legends 2 this week. Now all they need to do is release all of the other mega man and X games on PS1 and PSP.

The Scholarship Edition of Bully is a far better version of that game so not sure why people are so excited about playing the vanilla one.
I don't own a 360, the wii port runs at 480p, not backward compatible.

PSN version has trophies and some aliasing, and a few upscale effects on the emulator. (and the best gamepad, the dualshock 4)

The game is awesome period. Although when I played the 360 version I couldn't pass the final fucking music class to save my life, the damn buttons would never register correctly lol

Golden Week always makes me think of Fruits Basket.  Granted, I bet I could find a way for Broforce to remind me of Fruits Basket

i have no idea how we did it. im guessing we pulled the red/blue dot level passwords off nintendo power or something cuz i remember the final bosses and wily castle, but no freaking way i was able to pull this off as a kid. im saving and jumping and dieing and reloading like mad now. iv beat the 1st 3 since yesterday, but damn these are nintendo hard ;) ill try to knock the later 3 this week, but they had to have gotten easier as video games became more casual/popular. this is like demons' souls. and those invisible blocks over pits and instant kill spikes in water levels and omg. the developers were just trying to troll you sometimes in this game. like you climb a ladder and you will get hit no matter what. i had to youtube this wall turret boss from megaman 2 cuz im like no way this is possible for myself as a child. ;) and im getting older so i think iv passed my prime gaming years ;)

and screw these challenges. like seriously. it took me an hour to gold the first few challenges, and i look at the trophies and it is for getting all 50 bronze/silver/gold. no sir, ill beat your games and then back to gamefly

I think Mega Man 2 is the only one I've ever finished.  Gets super easy if you take down Metal Man and use his metal blades for the rest of the game.

I definitely never used codes to skip stuff, but I guess I just had more time as a kid to play.

Same, I remember beating 1 when I rented it near my house but never beat 2 due to boobeam trap. Sadly I still can't beat boobeam trap and I am trying...

If we get a Golden Week flash sale, would it be for April or May? Since Google says the week starts on the 29th.
Golden Week has always been a week and not a flash sale so I would expect that to continue. My guess would be the flash sale is the normal third weekend and the Golden Week sale is either 4/25 or 5/2.

Been waiting far too long for this. So I think we're missing MM5 and 6,(JP PS1) MM8, X3 (JP PS1) and X6. At least we got all the Legends games so that makes me happy.

I love MMX Maverick Hunter but I loved Powered Up so much. I've been waiting for that game to appear on the PS Store since I got my Vita.

Star Ocean: Integrity and Faithlessness will be out on 6/28 for PS4. It'll have dual audio tracks and a big collector's edition on the Square Enix store.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/04/04/nioh-launching-2016-on-ps4-demo-out-this-month/

Nioh is confirmed for a 2016 launch on PS4 with an alpha demo that will be available from 4/26 until 5/5.

http://blog.us.playstation.com/2016/04/04/loud-on-planet-x-brings-the-noise-to-ps4-on-april-19/

Loud on Planet X is releasing for PS4 on 4/19. It's a rhythm tower defense game that mixes elements of Patapon, Rhythm Heaven, and Plants vs. Zombies with the lead developer for this game having worked on Sound Shapes, so that sounds like a good mix of influences for me. It features music contributed by some local Toronto artists and bands. It'll be coming to Vita at some points once the devs get their issues with Unity fixed.

Couldn't we also get X7 and 8 since they were ps2 games?  Or is Capcom being THAT stupid?  If they weren't complete nimrods they'd give us retro style X 9 and 10 similar to MM9 and 10 styled after the SNES games, but alas, Capcom is a bunch of derpshits who are hemorrhaging money

im like what's boobeam trap? lol i looked it up and that was the exact wall turret boss i was referring to in my post! yeah, that was crazy difficult, its like you shoot one extra shot and you can't beat that part, and if you don't get there with full ammo you are screwed cuz ammo never refills even after you die at that point of the game. I almost thought i save scummed myself into a corner of having to restart since only one save slot but luckily i was able to pull off using the pre-rush level jump items.

iv been playing gems of war and smite all day when i need to be finishing these mega man games

I would expect we might get them if Capcom gets on board for the PS2 classics on PS4. Looks like only Sony and Rockstar so far though.
