Anyone know if Nioh is going to be digital release only?

Was curious if there might be a pre-sale on it.

Poor Harmonix. Music games are dead, they barely scraped together the Kickstarter funds, and now they lose a good chunk of PS3 launch day sales. Fun fact: Insomniac CEO Ted Price donated $7500 to the Kickstarter.

This might not be a mistake. I know there were some emulation issues present when playing this game on PSP CFW. Trying to use ladders would often cause the game to softlock, with the main issue being the Pokte Island ladder which you need to use to progress through the game. I *think* this glitch was eventually fixed in later CFW releases/POPS selections, but it was long after I got to that point in the game and stopped playing.

Also, unrelated but the Guilty Gear Xrd: Revelator digital pre-order is up on the PS4 PSN, and if you purchase the game in advance, you get a demo including all previously released Xrd characters plus newcomers Johnny, Jam, and Jack-O, as well as fully playable Arcade Mode, Versus Mode, and Training Mode. Not necessarily a deal, but I figure some like myself might be interested enough in the game to take advantage.

Harmonix might be my favorite developer ever, so I'm not touching the Amplitude bug.

Not excited for the Tom Clancy sale today, especially since it will be mostly PS3.  I'll be glad when these theme weeks are over so I can be surprised again on Tuesdays.

I want a good sale on Garden Warfare 2, but I know that will take a while.

You may be right. Just tried to transfer it from ps3 and I couldn't find it.

Yeah, it's probably intentional then. I have no idea what kind of process PS1 games go through in terms of making them compatible with PSP/Vita outside of CFW, but maybe a POPS selection isn't possible. Also, it's worth noting that when playing PS1 games, the Vita just emulates a PSP, whereas I'm sure the PS3 actually emulates a PS1. Hopefully that clears some things up. In theory, it wouldn't be impossible for them to fix the issues in a later patch for the game. And in the meantime, it'll let people play a legitimate copy of the game without shelling out big bucks on places like eBay.

And in case it's worth noting, "purchasing" the free demo of Amplitude on PS4 also makes the PS3 version available for free. The PS3 listing displays as "Download to your PS3" for me, so if you have the PS4 version you probably have both now. Thanks for the heads-up on the glitch!

Yeah it saddens me too. I know they are on hard times and stuff like this takes away in potential sales. I keep buying DLC for RB to help support them but I have a feeling it's just a lost cause and the inevitable will happen sooner than later with them...

I backed the Kickstarter. The game is pretty good, but the soundtrack was really boring. That's from someone that has listened to hour long DJ sets.

Doesn't seem like trophies show up in Amplitude when downloaded this way. Heads up for people who care.
Considering that those who got in on the glitch "bought" the full games after getting the demo in a separate purchase, I don't see how trophies wouldn't appear since the only difference between that and a normal purchase is the price. Are you sure you weren't just playing the demo?

I can confirm trophies work for this. I already earned a trophy using this method to "buy" the game.

When you downloaded it, did you see whether both the full game and demo were being downloaded simultaneously? I don't see a separate listing in my download list for the demo despite "buying" it to get in on the glitch.
I first bought and downloaded the demo, then while the demo was downloading I bought and downloaded the full game, But the demo never downloaded, just the full game.

Amplitude glitch is not quite working for me. Got the demo. Go to full game and it still says $19.99 (and still says that after adding to cart). But it does say "Download to PS4" so not sure. Usually it would say "purchased".

Yeah same happened for me, ps3 version showed up as free for me though.

Playstation Plus weeks never have sales, your getting 6 games after all.

However, this month they are still doing a Tom Clancy sale and a handful of indie games. This is a good fucking week for PSN/ PlayStation!

So the CEO paid to make the game like CEOs are supposed to?

They might not get the money but maybe they'll wind up on top of the sales charts at least.

I'm not sure I understand your first question. The CEO of Insomniac - developers of Ratchet and Clank - donated to the Amplitude Kickstarter, which is by Harmonix, developers of Amplitude and Guitar Hero.

So Legends 2 confirmed for PS3 only?

There are not enough SHAQ FU's on this website for what I want to say.

Eat my salty chocolate sack, Sony.
I would offer to combine forces into a choco/vanilla swirl for Sony to enjoy, but I'd wager the internet has enough of that already.

I did notice that one of the other PS3 only PS1 games, Motor Toon Grand Prix, explicitly calls out that it's PS3 only right in the title and on the page. Legends 2 does not, or at least not yet. Perhaps there is hope, but I think I would have more luck dropping some CFW on my PSPGo and seeing what I could come up with.

I wonder how the financials of this work. If a retail store accidentally sold a bunch of PS3 games for free, I doubt the publisher or developer gets penalized at all and the store simply eats the cost. I wonder if Sony's store might operate similarly or at least Sony would try to compensate them somehow for the loss since Sony is responsible.

The capcom blog says its ps3 only: http://www.capcom-unity.com/capkel/blog/2016/04/05/mega-man-legends-2-available-now-in-north-america

It is apparently impossible for Legends fans in the states to get what the Japanese have had for over a decade.  A copy paste of the English voice and script (though I would settle for text only) to the PSP ports of both Legends games would be just dandy, but I'm more likely to be stuck on the moon than to see that happen, it would seem.

Sorry for the random question but does anyone recall how long it took for a sale on MLB digital last year?  I know this game tends to go on sale quickly at retail after release but I don't have any recollection of how long it takes for the digital to drop.

Thanks.
