I could still play my PS4 while watching sports or whatever on my TV without the Vita being the only alternate, which is a nice Wii U-style Off TV feature. Or more options for multitasking if that makes it easier to understand.
 
Anyone else at the point in the ps3 cycle where the 500 gig is almost full, you like everything being already downloaded/installed so you have to be verrryyyy selective about what you delete (duplicates, patches, etc)

Don't wanna buy a bigger hd and have to redownload all those hundreds of gigs again lol

Darn you ps for not allowing externals!

For me it's that my computer is in one location and the TV is in another. Until very recently the consoles were all in here with my PC but I still would like the ability to play them while sitting at the PC endlessly refreshing CAG. Vita remote play is for in bed though or on the rare occasion I want to watch TV at the same time.

I'm already at that point with the PS4 and the 2TB drive I put in it...

I love all the systems man but I gotta say xbox allowing externals is a big freaking deal especially this gen where it's gonna be needed way more than ever before

PS seems to have drawn their line in the sand though and that's too bad

 
I thought I had bought PSP EndWar but I guess I hadn't. Nearly didn't even look because I assumed I had after all of Frisky's recommendations.

Yep, I'm nearly full on the external there but at least I can add another one when needed.

You know when you upgrade, if you do a full backup and restore you don't have to redownload everything again. It literally takes the entire dive contents puts them on the back up and then load thay on to the new drive.

Time wise its not much faster if you are full, but you don't kill your bandwidth.

I've been researching this and it may be what I eventually end up doing, I only have like 30 gig left so I am definitely full

I would have to switch around some drives temporarily and buy a new internal and external case for the old ps3 internal so it didn't go to waste

Just one of those things where it can be done but I'm trying to avoid putting more money into a system on the way out

What's it take to transfer 500 gig on 2.0 like 2 days lol? watch the hard drives explode on me and really put me in a mess haha

Mega Man Legends is about as much a dual stick shooter as The Legend of Zelda is hack-n'-slash action.

 
ps4 firmware update... And did anyone notice that it immediately goes into rebuilding the database after install? I dont know if this is new or it always did that?

I don't think that happened after I downloaded and installed the most recent :ps4: firmware update.

Absolutely! My 500gb PS3 us almost full, which has made me pass on many good digital deals, especially when the download size is fairly large. Even my PS4 is mostly full, I really need to put a 2gb into it soon.

deadly premonition and metal gear gear rising were brutal sales for me

was like 34gig or something between the 2 games

I cleared out a lot of game data from my physical copies of games and my collection is pretty solid but it'll be a bummer pretty soon running out of space

I would buy more of the games on xbox but microsoft never has as good of deals and I've noticed psn has way more "complete" digital editions of games which I always prefer

It's not so bad. Im only on 8 months and counting redownloading everything. :whistle2:

Bandwidth caps are the suck.

I wish it was a surefire means to backup your PS3 and I know some peeps have had better luck than me. It was taking me literally 30 hours + and I was sitting at only 50% completion. I was very concerned with my PS3 breaking from the struggle to do it.

The only thing that comes to mind is the new Remote Play for PC. Some new fangled mess to communicate with that which they included in the newest firmware. Beyond that I have no idea. Course I didn't pay extreme attention to the last time my PS4 firmware was updated.

Tried out the PC Remote Play app and it worked really well. Played some Resogun, Bit.Trip Runner, and Gems of War and it was all pretty smooth. You just log into your account and it then connects to your PS4, so there isn't much else that you have to do to get it to work.

 
Weird i didn't know about the free dlc u get for participating in the beta. Wasnt going to bother playing but i guess i should:

It did that for me as well. This was the first time I saw it, so I suspect it was related to the update. Or else a too full hard drive.
 
You can also rollback Windows 10 upgrades for 30 days. If you hate it, no problem, roll it back to 7. I'd recommend at least reserving your upgrade, Microsoft did say at some point (I think a year from release) the ten upgrade would no longer be free. They have done nothing to imply they're really ever going to stop free ten upgrades.

On the subject of W10, I upgraded from 7 to 10, then switched motherboards/CPUs recently because of a hardware failure. After a week or so of running the new shit, it decided my copy of windows wasn't genuine. After trying several times to deal with their garbage Indian CS reps, the only thing they could tell me was to reinstall w7 and then re-upgrade to w10.

So I just bought a new W10 key because fuck that.

That's my Windows story. Soon to be a major Hollywood picture.

Thank you for stating this. I have been holding off because my laptop is pretty old and I wasnt sure how badly the upgrade would impact the performance on the few games I can play on it. Mostly league of legends.

just pick a ranged carry, stack attack speed, attack power, and lifesteal, and right click, you'll be fine

Last Tinker feels like a PS Plus title. I think it's also on sale nearly every week in some form. I'm waiting for dirt cheap or free.

I don't think I've ever seen a sale for Hot Shots Golf Out of Bounds since I put that in the OP a couple of years ago. I think I bought it during a Spend X, Get Y Back promotion due to that and haven't seen any sales for it since then.

Hot shots Out of Bounds complete was on sale for $6.25 in January of 2013 (which is when I bought it). it also doesn't have any trophies if you care about that sort of thing.

Usually don't spend that much for older games but some games just never seem to go on sale so I might be snagging it. I still play hot shot games on the ps2 I always loved them
