PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

The only thing the price hike does is force people to buy it now rather than wait.  I don't see this really affecting anything else... only problem I really have with it is they could have given more time than two weeks to make sure that the word got around to everyone... a month would have been nice.  Other than that I don't see the big deal... this just helps them get more concrete numbers for DLC sales.  But I would think that most people that were going to buy it already have.  And it's not like they're really hurting for money or anything... FO Shelter made bank.

Now if they had raised the price without warning then sure... shady as fuck... but I don't see the big deal as it is.  They warned everyone that they're raising the price and gave reasons as to why.  Now people can call bullshit on those reasons if they want, but none of us really know until they're done putting out all the DLC.  I will say that the little $5 pieces that they announced seem like a bunch of crap that most wouldn't be interested in.

Load times in Whatever Setsuna are pretty long in the Vita version:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kqO8SEnOoKM

Looks to be 6-7 seconds. PS4 takes 2-3 seconds. Hopefully that'll get patched if there are many loading transitions.

Man if you think 6-7 seconds is "pretty long" your wife must be super disappointed.
Actually she's the one with the stamina problem. :shame:

6-7 loading seconds isn't bad as long as they're not frequent. If the game areas are all small, though, and you go in and out of them constantly then that's a bit of an issue.

It's good to know I don't need to get those ps2 GTA games until I know I'm going to play them right away as it seems they've been on sale every other week since they released.

Stotch,

I picked up a new 3 floyds ipa to try out tonight called Arctic Panzer Wolf:

Also a pack of one of my favorite WI ipas with easily the greatest label:
http://www.beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/30629/95061/

And dogfish head Namaste for the gf. She loves Blue moon and it's basically a better tasting blue moon
I was so happy when I was at a restaurant in Madison and they had that Fantasy Factory after I saw you post it on Untappd. Best label I've ever seen by far.

Finished up the first play through of Bastion. Very fun game. I think I'm going to go for the plat since it gives me an excuse to play it on PS4. Seemed to small in Vita and couldn't hear the narrator most of the time even with it cranked.

Speaking of, I still don't get all the hate he gets. His voice sounds good. The reading is good. Tone fits the story. Why is everyone always bitching about him?

Shelled out to join the prime club today. Was gonna cost me $50 in shipping for a vanity my wife wanted. Figured I might as well put out the extra $50. I'll save plenty on games anyway. Shame I already missed out on a few of the 40%s on stuff I wanted though.

I'm not sure why people in here dislike his voice. Everywhere else people rave about it. I hate the character but the voice is fine IMO.

Debating on going to work Friday for a 5 hour shift. If I don't, I'll have the next 4 days off. Which would be nice, after working the last 11 with only one day off.

There are 758 episodes of Press Your Luck and i'm seeing some episodes for the third time already. No way they could have cycled through the entire catalog already, they must just keep showing the same handful of episodes. Lame. I remember I felt like Gameshow Network did the same thing.

you should watch a good show instead. you would like Mad Men

I never talk video games outside of here, so I don't really know, but are people really complaining about Dying Light upping their season pass cost?  The Following has so much content that it could (and I think should) have been released as a standalone game.  Techland left so much money on the table with that one it's not even funny.

They're the very definition of a developer that's more concerned with how they're perceived by the fickle gaming public than with their bottom line.

There's also the fact that Dying Light's season pass used to cost $19.99 and is now $29.99 while FO4's pass is currently $29.99 and will be $49.99.

welp moved between buildings and of course nearly everyone has some shit to whine and moan about. Most of which isnt even important.

"Shut the fuck up and get the necessary things like your phone, monitor and laptop setup. Once you are done with all that you can work on the miscellaneous things you want. For fuck sake stop telling me about every little thing and get to work." "I was in early to setup my shit so I woulnt have any issues. You are an adult and could have done the same."

Thats what I really want to see so all can hear it. I have told people to not worry about some things but in a much more PC tone. UGH.

One woman was complaining about her view being blocked by cabinets. This view is the window that is BEHIND HER. DFJSVJVKVCWKWEKKWFKWWM fuck!!!!!! I dont give a flying fuck if you cant see out a window BEHIND YOU.
It will make it harder for the sniper you hire to take her out to have an easy line of sight.

Far Harbor features the largest landmass for an add-on that we’ve ever created, filled with new faction quests, settlements, lethal creatures and dungeons. Become more powerful with new, higher-level armor and weapons. The choices are all yours.

And more important, that this is only the beginning. We have plans for more. More than $60 worth of new Fallout adventures and features throughout 2016.
Wasn't Shivering Isles $30 by itself? If this new Fallout 4 DLC is even bigger than that and the pass includes additional content then raising the price makes sense to me.

I bought a season pass for $20 in the trading thread last month so I'm set. :)

It was me that complained about it. I played it on VITA. (Still playing it)

The voice/accent didn't fit the old man to me. Didn't sound like an old man. Sounds more like a poor man's mix between southern gentleman and a jazz musician on Beale Street. It just didn't click with me.

"So this game [Firewatch] was 18$. I purchased it because i enjoyed games like this. And I enjoyed this game. Alot. Like, way more than a healthy amount. But it was 2-3 hours. I feel like there could of been more, and im thinking of refunding. But here is my problem: I loved this game. It was a unique game with awesome narration and storytelling. I like the developers. I mean seriously, have you seen how active they are on theese forums? What other dev is that connected to their community? I want to support the developers, but there was so much more i could of got with my 18$. Should i refund, or hold on to it?"

From Steam. What an asshole.

He didn't end up refunding it but he's a cheap prick just for having the thought cross his mind.

What do you hate about the character then? I mean you hate most characters, but why this one?
I haven't played it for a while, so this is mostly from memory:

He was just an incredible asshole with the way he encourages you to go around killing people for their shards because it won't matter after the time reset. The Calamity was caused by the Mancers trying to commit genocide and Venn (Zia's dad) sabotaging the project; The Stranger was another Mancer, so he was fine with slaughtering tons of people even before the reset. He also pushes for The Kid to kill Zulf and reset the timeline (killing everybody in the current timeline.)

He's just an extremely creepy sociopath.

Where are the Vita versions of Borderlands, Game of Thrones, and Minecraft? Either cancel them, or release them.

Don’t worry – we’re big fans of Vita and we still have plans to bring our titles over to the platform. We thank you for your patience, but hang tight! We’re hoping to have an update soon.

First I have problems logging into CAG. Then I see a PSN sale that looks more like an Xbox Live sale.

Oh well, at least the Rock Band DLC is good this week.

So I doubt anyone will actually be able to read this with the jacked up site, but I am already playing PayDay just trying to get one of the annoying ass trophies you can try for in single player.  If anyone is ready to play now just start a party and send me an invite.  It will definitely be more fun than trying for this just to fail over and over.

I had no idea Barq's made more than root beer. I'd like to try the red cream soda. I'm assuming it's similar to Big Red. My friend and I were drinking that with Fireball this weekend. It blends in so you can easily drink a ton. Plus we had Rumchata because that's a must.

Barq's is my favorite root beer for floats. Love that stuff.

Lost Dimension for Vita is on sale for $19. I could pick that up, unless I want to hold out hope it will drop lower.
Just a little warning, there is an extra 2-3 second loading time when using gifts (basically magic spells) and a few other things while in battle in the vita version. Here's an example

VITA

VS

PS3

GIFs are slightly time compressed as they are 10 seconds of gameplay each but they last only 8 or so seconds after being converted from youtube videos.

It is similar, but I always liked Big Red more.
