It is all pretty damn easy if you have enough people in a group. The hardest one by far is the 9 people one in Undead just because it can be like herding cats.

Speaking of the DLC, is the Undead Nightmare thing supposed to be done post-main story? Anything need to be done with the single player part before doing the MP part? Will it ruin any part of the game for me? Have I asked enough questions to be annoying yet?

 
just for the record I picked up all that red dead mp stuff legit on 360 back in the day before I knew that boosting existed because I am an amazing person.  it took fooorrrrreeeevvveeerrrrrrr.

and holy cow, 6 characters, like 6 'moves' each, and each move has like 4 variants and then 5 runes. That's like 700 unique skills or something.

Iv been playing gauntlet and da i mp and now diablo. all these skill choices and cooldowns. my head is trying to grasp all this dungeon crawling at once ;)

These games are so much more fun co op too. I love that you get a multiplayer loot bonus. My buds and I ran from 10 to 35 last night in an hour just stomping on everything in our way thanks to Derek. awesome night

 
Every year if any of the early season games are at noon there is a major uproar.  August outside in Gainesville in the sun for 3.5 hours when you are packed in with 90k other people can literally kill you.  especially if your blood alcohol level is well above legal limits

Undead Nightmare takes place in an alternate timeline which begins at some point after John visits his ranch in the main campaign and the story branches off from there. So I wouldn't play it before then as you meet characters in Undead Nightmare you will have met in the main game and it might not be as enjoyable otherwise or you can wait until you finish the main story.

I wish they'd bring those LEGO Ninjago games to PS3 as PSN games or something. My kid loves the show. I guess I coulda kept my PSTV but I wasn't thinking about those. Oh well.

 
also i never played much diablo 3 before so i had no idea the witch doctor was like the summoner. but my son asked to play and wanted to be axton/roland from bl and throw some turrets. im like i have no idea if there is a guy like that but ill start you up the demon hunter cuz he seems ranged. Within an hour or so he was using machine gun skills, shotgun skills and throwing sentry turrets on the ground. He couldn't be happier ;)

 
I didn't realize I was only half way done with labyrinth legends and the map moves to the right.  got a handful of trophies and one dropped controller.  good riddance.

Also played through r-type and r-type II from r-type dimensions this morning to cross that off the ol backlog.  I'll keep it on the ps3 so I can keep trying for the only charge/no power up runs once in a while but honestly that game is way harder than I remember so those are likely quite out of reach.

it's still early in the month (and ni no kuni is still downloading) so next I'll try to finish off whatever trophies I can in streets of rage 2 and final fight.  And I'll do a guide playthrough of stacking to get 100% (played through on 360 and enjoyed if I remember right).  

 
Just a reminder: Ni no Kuni is pretty big so if you're digital and short on HDD space you might want to clear a few games off the old PS3 before next month.

 
New HDD is arriving today for my PS4. Not looking forward to backing up and restoring. I was planning to do a full backup and restore, rather then redownloading stuff. Or is that a bad idea? The HDD I have for the backup is USB3, so I'm hoping that makes it go faster. PS4 has USB3 ports, right?

I've got to finish up Rogue first, which could be a challenge now that I'm back working. I put in 12 hours with it during the holidays and it might take me the next two weekends to get 12 more hours.

I've no idea how you guys are filling up your PS4 HDDs so fast that you need a bigger drive. The biggest PS4 game is what...50GB? Are you hoarding installations or are you just buying bigger drives because you can?

I think the reality is I probably only ever played through the first few levels in the arcade/mame before giving up so I never got to the 'fuck you we'll just send bullets from every direction and make your bullet shield fuck ing pointless' levels. it actually makes raiden iv seem possible to 1cc.

i loved r-type final on ps2. so many many ships to choose from. and those weird wonky shooters like love ship or slime ship etc There was just so many unlocks in that game. The tree chart of all the ships and how to unlock was amazing. great game wish they would remake it

I'm hoping to finish DA:I this weekend. We'll see. If I can put in another 20-30 hours it shouldn't be an issue at all but I just advanced the story to the next part of the game and it opened up a ton of maps and quests to explore. 

DA:I is my first game of the year but unless the ending goes completely to shit I'm expecting this to be a strong GOTY contender for games I played in 2016. It's a lot of fun even though I never played the earlier games. It makes me want to do the same for other series and jump straight to MGS V and Witcher 3 and Bloodborne and such rather than wading through all the older iterations I have backlogged.
