PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Defense event right now for the next hour. Looks like we are barely in the lead. Somehow joined a game when yhe shuttle was arriving in 6 seconds and didnt get kicked.

Edit: There was still 30 mins on the timer before we succeeded.

That was funnier than I expected.

I actually only died once before getting to the bonfire in the poisonous swamp on ground-level, and that was to the very first club-wielding giant because I couldn't maneuver behind him and didn't think to spam Fire Orb until too late.

Finally beat stage 3 in Ninja Senki. Stage 4 isn't as hard except I haven't figured out a good approach to the boss. Die there 3 times in a row, game over.

Finished guns Gore and canoli play through last night. Fun game but can be frustrating sometimes with the floaty controls and jumping. After thinking about it a bit the gameplay and style of the car explosions and killing zombies really reminds me of metal slug.

That's the Tanuki (raccoon) boss, right? Throw a few shurikens at the start, jump over the single bullet he fires, then throw 1-2 shurikens, jump over the bullet, and run under him as he jumps over you.

I'll probably play this within the next couple weeks. Gotta avoid that slap when it's $3.75 later down the line.

I wrapped up episode 1 of Tales From The Borderlands last night and I'm really liking it so far. I haven't played most of the Telltale games aside from Walking Dead on my 360 but enjoying the characters and story of this one a lot better. Well worth the $3.75 I paid in the recent sale.

Once I've finished the Dark Souls plat, I may play that on PS4 as a breather before Dark Souls II: SotFS.

They're pretty consistent about completely failing to put out decent PC ports, though. Content-wise they seem to be doing well enough, but it's amazing how they make the same mistakes over and over again with their PC releases.

Yea I think the TWD ones are near the bottom of the list for me, GoT and TWAU are really good too.

Then I really don't understand why they didn't drop the F-bomb at the end of Walking Dead S4 instead of the comparatively wimpy "screw." If ever it called for it, that was the moment. It's not like they'd have to worry about losing advertisers given the monster ratings it does with the young people. Maybe that much as changed in 2 years. I guess it's uncensored on the home video release.
Screw you, you screwing screwface

Helldivers talk is terrible.  I really started not liking the game when I was playing it.  Now after hearing you guys bitch about those events, which have the same issues as they did at launch, I am starting to really despise it and I havent played it in months!

Cry more

I was listening to the talk radio station (NOT NPR) this morning and they had Owen Benjamin on, a comedian.  Pretty funny guy, but at one point someone mentioned he had a crutch on stage.  I guess he plays piano or something so another comedian said that was his crutch when his act wasnt funny?

Anyway, Owen busted out with the old PSNOT favorite when talking about the other comedian.

"His face is a crutch!"... I imagined Zimm saying this and started giggling to myself like only a 12 year old can.

How much? Im pretty sure I didnt have more than maybe 15 on the other two since I mostly played bug planets
I'm not sure to be honest, at first it was looking like I only needed 3 more influence for it to unlock, and then it looked like I needed to get up to 50 points. Maybe it switched because the event was over or something, but it wasn't very clear from what I could tell.

Lol you looked at the wrong planet. The bottom one is to fight the boss. The top one isnthe defend event.

Its okay in short bursts. The grind sucks though, and I think the devs vastly overestimated PS+ users sticking around or caring about the events at all. Community seems a little high strung too, I went to the reddit last night to see if there was any info on the event and it was mostly just people bitching about "trophy hunters and ps+ noobs"

One thing for the boosting tonight is we do need somebody who has the vehicle unlocked. I know Pancakes has it, probably Owl too but I'm not sure if anyone else does.

the reddit is full of "weird ass roleplayers and dev slobberers" so I guess it's a little bit of tit for tat there.

having a game that 100% requires community participation was a terrible idea. I thought helldivers was really really awesome conceptually and how it played was sharp, but it would've had 100x more staying power if it had a 4 hour coop story mode or something else to do other than visit the same planet types doing the same objectives one trillion times. the bosses were a cool add, but I can't be arsed to go back to the game just for that now (unless you guys do it, then I'll come play).

ahahahaha, pokemon direct is over already. they literally just announced the game in 5 seconds, and then talked about how if you use the digital copies of red/blue/yellow you can trade those pokemon to the newer games too. end scene.

I like how more time was spent talking about pokemon in this thread yesterday than was spent on the direct.

Guess I can stop looking for the vid now. Thought maybe they showed something about the game.

Not as hyped for the old games as most. Wouldn't be the same without any of my mods. Like the one I made for red. Every Pokemon in the game was fully evolved, wild and trainers'.

Edit: bus? Really phone? Really!?

Yeah, I'm not very interested in the old games. They've made way too many improvements since then and even if I were to nostalgia about them, I'd play fire red/leaf green. If I were going to go back, I'd definitely at least want rom mods or something.
