I've never gotten into BDP much but definitely respect their legendary status. When it comes to old school shit like that I prefer stuff from the West Coast like DOC's first album No One Can Do It Better and Too $hort's early stuff. East Coast rap is my favorite but it's more so for that mid 90s grimey sound from Mobb Deep, CNN, Tragedy Khadafi, Nas, Cormega and other Queensbridge rappers. Big L was one of my favorite rappers, it's a shame he never got a chance to become a household name because he was so sick. OC from Brooklyn just dropped a new project and he's in his mid 40s and sounds just as awesome as he did in 1994. I think love rap music a little too much but you'd never know I also love stuff like Miles Davis, Al Green, Jimi Hendrix, or Alice In Chains for example lol
