PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Niagara Falls is bitchin'. We only saw it from the Canadian side, but it looked like there was no way the US side was as good. Better falls, better view.

Yeah after I sobered up a bit I tried at it again. It was one and done for me every single drop.

#somethingsomethingpromnight

Arcade was dope though. Great variety of retro games of all genres. Excellent selection of ciders that I never even heard of and the bartender was cute. Definitely gave her a big tip. Would go again.

Idiots on Reddit are flipping out because the Vita sub has a Gameboy banner now and there are posts about stores that have lots of GB games, etc.. Not sure if they're just idiots or if it's the multicultural aspect of the internet at play. Is April Fools' fairly universal?

Started up the Enslaved DLC last night. Didn't get all that far but so far playing as Pigsy is a blast.
I've been wanting to play this since I finished the game last year. The DLC never goes on sale by itself, though. I guess I'll just end up paying the whole $5 for it eventually.

Still hoping for a sequel someday.

Yeah I got the disc during one of those 3 for $10 or whatever sales at GS if I remember correctly, so I didn't mind paying the full $5 for the DLC since it's such a great game. I beat it on hard in hopes of going for the plat sometime but fuck those orbs.

They wanted to make one but the sales weren't good enough, apparently. Same with Heavenly Blade which would have been nice to see another of. I guess their only strong financial successes so far have been DMC and Disney Infinity.

I've only played Heavenly Sword by them so far. Despite it being their first game I enjoyed it quite a bit and I've only heard good things about their other titles (well aside from the collectibles in Enslaved anyway.) Seems like their work is very solid but for whatever reason it tends to be niche enough to not do fantastic. I can't see Hellblade getting a lot of sales either--a female-led action game isn't too far-fetched but the insanity bit added in and the expectation for a 18+ rating won't help much.

I guess you could say Enslaved sales numbers were #nice

In case anyone is wondering, yes the game (Prismatic Solid) is as colorful and trippy as that trophy card.

Really interesting shooter.  I didnt like it at all at first before I got used to the mechanic of using your special weapon "light sabers" or whatever they want to call them as a shield to absorb bullets.  Most of the trophies I still need are secret so I need to find a guide to figure out how to beat the game a couple extra times and find the secret level.

Also, the Doom beta was...meh?  I think Cro and Pancakes, who are the competitive shooter experts would tell you the same.  It was very muted sound effect wise.  Only two basic maps though and they did carry me of course.  A couple other guys who were already maxed out level wise were killing it too though.  The game ran smooth as silk though.

Still, I am most interested in the campaign anyway and cant wait to blow away some demon scum!

I wasn't overly impressed with the Alpha either. I finally was able to get the stupid beta to download last night. A friend of mine was able to download it early. I couldn't start the download till like 10:30pm.

Will check it out this weekend but like you I am mostly interested in the single player. Probably play through it trade and pick up Uncharted 4.

Doom seems to be a straight action game this time around. That's a surprise since Doom 3 was their biggest series success and had a lot more horror elements than what I've seen so far of the new game. Too bad since now it looks really generic instead. Maybe seeing recordings of the SP campaign will change my mind, though.

Seems like more of a return to the series roots to me. Like a current-gen version of the first two games. I think it looks awesome.

I would say that the new Wolfenstein and Old Blood games are "generic" shooters too but they had ambience/style and smooth, fun gameplay.  Doom looks to be similar in style to me.  Straight up shooter with some cool style.  I hope.

Yeah it's considered a reboot of the series so it makes sense for it to be more like the first game. I still question why they would ditch the horror element of their best-selling title, though--seems like a reboot would have brought that into the new version, not left it out. But we'll see.

Monster Hunter X/Generations Vita, supposedly. I can't find any official port announcement or anything and can't tell if this is legit or photoshopped.
