I have only watched it once. There was a woman in the beer circle here that wrote some book about the tiny house nonsense and moved to Asheville to live in one. She was pretty fucking obnoxious. Thing is, I am all for those people being outspoken. Just like bigots and racists, I do not let it offend me. I prefer to know who the idiots are so I can avoid them in the future.

I have never seen them use this as the reason they are doing it. It always seems to be a way to be internet famous for having a low carbon footprint (even though being on the internet when you are to be famous for being green is remarkably funny to me) even though they do not come right out and say it. If you want to take some low paying job and have a modest house you can do it without it being 80 square feet. Its not like there are tiny house subdivisions everywhere that allow you to buy a postage stamp sized lot.

 
I do find the tiny house concept appealing even though I think it would be hard for me to downscale that much so I doubt we'd ever do it (unless it meant being able to live in NYC!) But I think my preferred method of not working any more is to win a jackpot.

Most of them cant be on a normal lot anyways, wouldnt meet code for it. They are usually built on some kind of trailer and not on a foundation, you're basically buying a tiny mobile home.

Pretty stupid to me, but different strokes and all that.

I'm sure there are some that are doing it to get on TV since there's now TV shows about it. Maybe even some are paid to do it by the TV show.

I visited a friend who went to CMU maybe 15 years ago and we went to a bar that had a ms pac man machine. I don't remember the name, but I'm sure if you just ask random people on the street they'll know what you're talking about.

 
I've been to Pittsburgh a number of times but the only times I've gone it was for PAPA/Pinburgh (pinball tournaments) and to go to Kennywood. No fine dining/bar hopping I'm afraid.

 
I thought Ant-Man was good. Of course it's a little absurd. If you can buy the concept of a dude that randomly grows bigger and turns a different color when he gets rage and another couple dudes that instantly know how to fly and operate complex robot armor then you can buy the concept that Hank Pym can invent this shrinking technology.

Like others have said it's light hearted and embraces it's weird concept. And Ant-Man was in the Avengers in the comics long ago, along with Wasp. His being added isn't a new thing. But in the comics he could also grow to be a giant instead of just shrinking.
 
Amazon is now offering monthly rates for Prime ($10.99) and shipping is optional ($8.99 without). If you're going to stick with it for a year then obviously you're better of paying $100 and getting both for less.

Yeah Ant Man just crossed by threshold between dumb fun and actual stupidity. It wasn't about him shrinking, that is cool. It was more about him communicating with ants and using them to save the world. Seriously? Ants? That's fucking stupid.

There's also a lot of other really dumb stuff in the movie that I won't get into cuz of spoilers.

Yesterday I tried a tropical IPA (Heavy Seas Tropicannon). It was awful. The tropical fruit flavors were strong and I don't think they go well with an IPA. Maybe as a wheat beer it would have been better. I rated it 2 stars, but after I dumped out 2/3 of it, I dropped it to 1.5 stars. Maybe I should drop it to a 1.

Yeah I made the mistake of asking out a girl who is super vegan and hipster and environmentally friendly and all that shit. Anyways of course she was super into tiny houses, it was the first time I had ever heard of them. She made them sound awful.

Seriously, a 200 sq ft house? That's fucking stupid.

I realize we are talking about publishing but isn't Ready At Dawn a Sony owned studio? Why would they need GS to publish their game? Did they leave Sony?

Maybe the publishing deal is for a smaller-scale indie-style game while they work on The Order's sequel for Sony; I'm not sure why Sony wouldn't just publish all of their stuff, though.

I had a Tropical IPA from a local brewery yesterday at the Twins game. While the tropical flavors were definitely there at the front, it wasn't too overpowering. Was pretty refreshing actually. Sounds like you just got a shittily made one.

Nope, they are private. The mostly work on sony systems though and have good ties with sony. They are considered a 2nd party for sony. Or were at least before this stuff.

They did some porting work on Okami to WII, but other than that looks all sony.

Yeah, I saw yours on Untappd. This one really tasted like Hi-C poured into an IPA. Very strong fruit flavor and aroma. It was weird. Heavy Seas has some good beers, but this isn't one of them.

Drank it recently. I enjoyed it and would get it again. Tropical fruit flavors are awesome in IPAs.

 
I've never seen tiny house hunters, but all that sounds horrible.

Also, a friend of mine who is a realtor got asked to be on regular house hunters once and it's all staged.  The buyers have already bought the house before the show tapes and then the realtor shows them that house for the camera plus 2 others.  The illusion is ruined!

All those house hunter shows are the same, even tiny house hunters. They already bought the one they pick in the end and the other two they just look at for the show.

 
Even the ones they do reno work on, already bought the one they pick. Property brothers, etc.

Seriously just pay a bit of attention to any reality show and there are dozens of things that happen that normally wouldn't if it was actually real.

Right, even in a regular market the show would take on too much risk that the house would be bought from under them AND no way they want want to pay to have them followed around to 50 houses to find the three they are really interested in.
