EA Access is getting the Rory McIlroy golf game on the 10th. Still wish we had that, so stupid that we don't. I randomly like playing golf, soccer, and hockey games so it would sweet for me.

Shattered Dimensions is $14.69. That one's good, right?

https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/games/spider-man-shattered-dimensions-/cid=UP0002-NPUB31779_00-SPIDERMAN2010PS3

Activision sale prices have all flipped. King's Quest Season Pass is $20. Overall the sale sucks.
I liked it, other than the web targeting can be a little finicky when there is a big group of enemies. The 4 different spider-men with slightly different gameplay styles help to get it from getting repetitive.

Maybe next week Zen will have a sale on their Marvel tables to celebrate the captain america release. I already have all the Star Wars tables but one.

everyone that hates music posts, avert your gaze

I can't stop listening to tiny moving parts.  I doubt anyone would be too big of a big fan here.  they're pretty terrible lyricists.  but watching their videos and listening to their anthemic mathy dopey music makes me deeply miss playing shows more than I can remember.  damn that looks fun.

I've probably posted this exact thing before.  just feeling it again today.

I'm sure there are too many to list. He's not normally into fantasy things so he's never seen LOTR. I forgot what else I've mentioned.

He's one of my best friends and is about 5 years younger than me so he's behind on the tv/movie scene. That's where I come in to introduce him to such cool stuff. On the plus side he cooks dinner and lunch for me practically every day (he's a great cook) and likes to clean so I can't complain. ;)

I'm kinda tempted on Prototype 1/2 for PS4. Supposedly it has framerate issues but gameplay videos look quite smooth. Activision never does good sales so I doubt the prices will get better and they're digital-only.  :whistle2:k

Never heard of them, but I can dig it. I like a good pop punk band every once in awhile as long as they're not doing anything generic. I think my gf would like them a lot as they kind of remind me of a jimmy eat world which is one of her favorites..

Force Unleashed 2 is $5, it's like a stand alone expansion for the first game in terms of content. Definitely pick up the Endor DLC for 50 cents.

Finished Force Unleashed 2, as two pieces of standalone DLC for Force Unleashed 1 I would consider it good, but a full retail game?

There's the first level which is a bit of a tutorial, then the next 3 levels are really one level chopped into two chapter stops with a boss, the 5th level is tiny (like 50 yards) and just has a cutscene, then 6th and 7th levels are really 1 level with a chapter stop in the middle, and then there's the seventh level in which 1/3 of it is a rehash of the 1st level. It's probably half the length or shorter than the previous game.

Short length would be fine if the story was more compelling but it's pretty simplistic, find character A, character A helps in search for character B, save character B. If I had paid full price I would have felt ripped off, but $5 (what I paid on sale) is a fair price. Unlike the first game, the DLC level is extremely reasonably priced. In the first game, each was $10, for the second game it is a little shorter than the first game's DLC levels but it's only $1. I am assuming that was a universal price drop at some point, it annoys me to no end that they've never dropped the price or had a sale on the first game's DLC.

One thing they did to make it less of a button masher is they mixed in periodic strong enemies which are strong against a variety of Starkiller's saber and force powers to the point where you have to use the correct power in order to either kill them, or break their guard do you can attack with other powers. The force powers are also mixed in with the saber combos so you could go saber, saber, saber, lightning and Starkiller will charge his saber with lightning for the 4th strike which doubles the length of both blades for that attack.

The level design is pretty uninspired and very linear. Kamino, a floating casino city in the desert, a rebel starship under siege, and then Kamino again. I would say they must have had a LucasArts B-team working on this and not given them enough money and/or time to make it more exceptional. The combat is mostly fine, it's just much everything else about it is pretty half-baked.

Finished extra hard playthrough of Endor DLC, so about an hour of content for $0.50 (bought it on sale, normally $1). Very linear path (which isn't that different from the rest of the game) but the forest is a nice change of scenery at least. A few light puzzle elements, 3 new costumes which are shit, a few new enemy types (you get to murder ewoks) and a couple of boss battles (with familiar faces). The second boss battle was actually more challenging than the final boss battle of the main game (but fair) on extra hard, It comes with several trophies (300 TT worth) and it can be done pretty easily in 1 playthrough, you just have to press start and exit game (to the main menu) before the screen goes black after you die, then select continue for the no death trophy. You restart at the last checkpoint with full health.

If you decide to buy and beat the main game, I'd say it's a no brainer to buy the Endor DLC, it's worth it just to punt kick ewoks and to support reasonably price DLC.

There's a forum post on psnp that you might find helpful:

http://psnprofiles.com/forums/topic/36065-stranger-of-sword-city-thoughts-general-info-based-on-xbox-one-version/

Doesn't seem to be a ton of info available about the game so far, but the tip about making the main character 60 was a nice one, I thought, as were the bits about which talents he went with.
Yeah, I made mine 60 right away. I found a spot for a leveling grind/trick as well that I'm slowly working on. Gonna try that route, and then build a new team.

I can not imagine anyone not getting $7.50 worth of fun out of that one. It was a blast playing it with my kid.

You would think clicking on All Deals, would actually show you -all- the deals, including everything from the May the 4th and Activation sales.

As far as I know, that has never really worked. That is the reason why psprices is so useful for catching unadvertised sales. Unfortunately, it does not look like it has updated as of yet.

Did we ever hear if anyone has played the PS4 old Star Wars games (besides Super Star Wars) to see how they hold up/look/play?

I know a bunch of us talked about getting them, but not sure if anyone actually pulled the trigger.  Thinking about grabbing a couple.

I only found lovers in a dangerous spacetime since it was in my wishlist. Same with necrodancer last week, but that one is on sale for longer.
