PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Not great news about my brother-in-law. The tumor is growing and they are considering surgery, radiation or a wait and see approach. Next step is a "tumor board" of doctors who will review the case and make a recommendation.
This really sucks man, thoughts and prayers for him and your family.

Excited for Dark Cloud 2, played only a little of it back on PS2. Just bought 3 of these PS2 games this week and I definitely want to get Rogue Galaxy, Psychonauts, Dark Cloud 2, and Mark of Kri eventually. Possibly even Arc the Lad and War of the Monsters.

I know Stotch mocked me but Sony just sent me a 1 day PS+ extension.  Worth about 14 cents at full retail.

It is like Christmas in January.

Sony wins again!

Seriously why even bother?

The best part is that they sent out codes for it. They didn't just extend our memberships by a day, they're making us redeem the extension. So dumb.

That wasn't me, I have no idea what you're talking about. The only thing I vaguely remember is Tyler saying extensions are stupid because it messes up your download list or something.

Thanks for the two Legendary weapons in D3 UEE, Derek. One of my HS buds wanted to start it up last night after seeing it had gotten a new patch. I didn't check my mailbox until we were done for the night, but I'll put those to use power-leveling a character so I'll be available for runs.

D3 is one of those games that I can always go back to after not playing it for a while. Just from what I played of it last night, the UEE has so much more content than the vanilla game. I remember playing D1 on the PC in college; shit, that must have been about 20 years ago. I also remember pulling an all-nighter and beating D1 on the PlayStation with one of my HS buds. Diablo is definitely my favorite video game franchise.

Yeah '96 for D1. Man I played that for months and months. Such a great game.

I really liked Cloverfield except for the fact that it left me wanting to know more about the monster. This new movie looks like it's going to be an hour and a half of them in a bunker and then the last 10 minutes they escape. I hope they spend more time outside in a Cloverfield filled world.

I thought Cloverfield was an interesting concept and decent movie.  It just got a bad rap because it just kind of ended.  We didnt know enough about the monster also as Stotch said.  It also made some people sick I think.

i dont get motion sickness but my girl couldn't stand the camera work in cloverfield.

also yeah 96/97 were epic years for games. starcraft, ff7, resident evil, diablo, castlevania i think. tons of great games

Me. Couldn't make it all the way through in a sitting. Don't remember much about the movie, except you only got to see the monster for a few seconds?

Cloverfield is such an awesome movie. I totally bought into the hype with the super mysterious marketing and whatnot leading up to it's release. Saw it in the movies day 1 and loved it. I'm okay with them not explaining any more about the monster and this new movie being standalone. They kinda-sorta hinted at the monster's origins at the very end of the movie.

In the last scene where it flashes back to the main guy and girl on a ferris wheel at coney island you can see a meteorite landing in the ocean. The implication being that the monster was asleep at the bottom of the ocean and the meteorite woke it up. That's enough for me.

Some times my jokes are a little obtuse, so wanted to spell it out for the slow people.
Yeah, but now that I think about it Tyler wouldnt ask about moving to a new topic. He would just say how the topic is terrible and we are all dumb. Trying to mask his true intentions and inadequacies.

I didn't watch Cloverfield because Blair Witch Project turned me off forever to the whole "Wow, there's a guy holding the camera!" approach to film.

yeah i thought it was like a godzilla/cthulu eldritch abomination type monster. i enjoyed the not showing of him much cuz it added more mystery, plus didnt they show his lizard baby monsters anyway or am i getting confused with pacific rim or something idk

Tyler is the thread leader and deserves utmost respect. Do you think you or I could maintain a thread like this? Coming up with new polls and titles every few days. and no pay. im not the man for that job. You had post lead last thread, so you might inherit it ;)

i also have egg nog icecream i bought last night too, but on second thought i have no idea why i bought it cuz i dont care for eggnog. damn you mary jane

Oh Tyler is our supreme leader for sure. But I am willing to bet I could change the thread title every other month or so like he does.

Not sure why Blair Witch didn't make me sick, though. You'd think it would have. Maybe it was actually a terrible experience and I've blacked out that memory....
