PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

I keep thinking about Gamefly but then I get another half dozen games added to the pile with plus games and $5 and under PSN games. I am better than most at not buying shit though.

I have this 20% off coup good until Feb that might just need to go towards the full price DLC for Resogun (and others). Otherwise it may never get used since I never buy more than $10 worth of stuff at a time.

Anyone want this coup?
If you're actually offering it I would be interested.

Vig! He'll even use it on $18.37 worth of stuff!!

Sure, I might be--

Accounted for (I believe) all my physical games this morning.

PS3: 45
Vita: 17
PS4: 3
3DS: 17

Now I just need to wade through the huge download list on PSN to determine which digital games I want to play and set those up in a spreadsheet as well. Luckily that PSN javascript thing helps a lot with that because I'd hate to have to go through the download list one page at a time. Stupid Sony. :wall:
What's the link to the Javascript thing?
tyler correctly described labyrinth legends - it's ... ok. I'm going to see it through and cross it off the list but I might have to use a guide just to find enough stars to progress. some of them seem like they just pop out of nowhere for no reason at all.
I'm downloading it when I get home. Got it all queued up with 100 other things since my PS3 hasn't been on in forever.

Backlog:

I made the conscious decision to stop buying anything for PS3 a few months ago, no matter what the sale price. I've got so much digitial stuff to get through and I'll try and get through it this year but I'm not very optimistic. Can post a full list later but really doubt anyone is that interested.

No, its some form of self deprecation. Everyone here has to know that they wasted more money (credit for Vig and others) than they saved when they have a 100 game backlog they most likely will never finish because they keep buying more games.
eventually you have to embrace the idea that you can't play it all, stop buying shit and prioritize. some people on cag do swing their backlogs around like a big ol dick but I'd like to think psnot is more akin to a support group trying not to be hoarder dweebs.
These are the things that led me to slow the hell down and make better choices. The problem sometimes is there are a decent amount of games I'm interested in, and I barely if ever play anything 1st person (portal is amazing though). I did realize though I was constantly saying I'll play that at some point even with games like Uncharted. I mean what the hell is the point if you don't play the cream of the crop?

With the PS4 I've been super selective on what to grab and try to ask myself will I really play this? The PS3 may be a lost cause but at least moving forward I refuse to be a slave to the backlog.

I don't collect or hold on to my games anymore. Even with physical copies a large percentage of games run like shit without patches or not at all without the online infrastructure there. Those discs may very well be worthless down the road anyway with those caveats.

Plus if you don't have the time now for 40-100 hour long RPGs and keep stacking more to your list the cycle never ends.

I know there's talk of that AC Collection and all but it doesn't seem out of the realm of possibilities that they could release Rogue on PS4 if we are indeed getting a break from AC this year. I kinda wonder why they haven't done it already.
It's especially surprising when you consider that Rogue made the jump to PC like a year ago now.

I'd swap over to gamefly if I primarily played retail games. But overall I spend way more time with downloadables. And then end up spending a month or more playing the various retail games I do get.
I've done GF a couple of times but it takes an entire week for shipping turnaround. Apparently GF and the PO have some deal called FastReturn where the PO is supposed to scan the envelop to let GF know the disc is on the way and to ship out the next one. Nashville doesn't seem to do that, though.

So are these games coming to the actual digital store too, and these are just the only way to get physical versions of them?

Or is this the only way anyone gets to play this game?

I thought it was the latter, but then I saw Breach & Clear and remembered that that's in the PSN store now. I'll pay the $25 if this is the only way to play it, but I'd obviously prefer cheaper digital.

I would think SRPG will end up on PSN, as well, though I don't have any evidence to back that up. Buying it from Limited Run Games will definitely be the only way to get a physical version.

Tyler, why didnt you like Kung Fu rabbit?  Too simple?  I liked it because its simple and each level is very short.  So even if you die its quick and easy to try again.

I certainly hope so. I enjoyed the game on mobile but didn't get far into it because mobile, so I really want to play it on Vita.

I may try to grab a physical copy to resell though. Looks like Breach & Clear is regularly going for twice as much as the original price on eBay, sometimes more. I'd think Saturday Morning RPG would fetch more since it's a more popular game.

I might do the same--a PS4 copy to sell and a Vita copy to keep.

All the plus games are up, not showing free or in the main link but I was able to manually add them all to the cart and they came up free.

History Patton game is the Vita game.

My plan today is to start the Assassins Creed games on the PS3, I played the first two on my 360 when they first came out, now to play it on the correct system and catch myself up with everything. Going to start from the beginning at lunch :)

Looks like deals are beginning to update as well.

Thanks, I "bought" all 6. I wonder how good the Vita port of Grim Fandango is.

Got all the Plus games. But now I see my download of Amplitude is still running even though it's only 2.3GB. It's been more than an hour. Our oldest just got a new PC desktop and he's been downloading stuff to it and probably left downloads running. It's swamping our internet. I'm not sure why because when we download big stuff on other things it leaves room for other devices to do their thing.

Just a reminder, if you suffer through the tank controls of grim fandango instead of opting for the updated control scheme you get an extra trophy at the end of the game. If you play on vita not only do you have to turn on the tank controls as soon as you gain control but also avoid touching the screen for the whole game. Or something.

That's delightful.

It's 7.2 GB so it must be a top-5 game of all time.

EDIT I lied, Vita version is only 3.1. Didn't think they'd combine them since separate listings but I'm dum

Maybe he's sharing a pirated cam of The Force Awakens.
