PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

Yeah, no cheatery like that in hardcore. A level 1 can play with a 70 in normal cause of apprentice mode. Disabled in hardcore for obvious reasons.

The hardcore run didn't really take us that long. We played maybe 5 times and no session was longer than 3 hours.

I remember somebody made the comment. Listened to that full set video and it's actually very consistent with the way the CD sounds. Always nice to find out somebody can sing live up to the level of their albums and it's their voice isn't just processed to shit.
Theres some bands/artist that are purely a studio band. They can't perform worth a shit live(Oasis is absolutely TERRIBLE). I'll name 2 artists that kill it live and in the studio and drum roll......Radiohead pulls off everything you hear on an album live and it sounds perfect to the album. Jkam knows what I'm talking about. Another artist I love but will get lots hate is Bjork. She's has so much talent and sounds great live just like her albums.

what is apprentice mode?

yeah its just tough to find groups to play in. I know sage and vig are gonna play hardcore mode soon, so i can jump with them, but you guys were way higher leveled and all my other friends are mostly running level 70s. :)

Early last month, I think. CrazyDiamond posted a reference to her on the 10th and that was soon after that discussion.

BTW, I'm surprised we don't have PSNOT 1.0 and 2.0 topic links in the OP.
Posts must have been deleted through thread culling by the moderators as I can't find any reference to the conversation other than that same post via google or CAG forum searches.

I like Bjork. I think I'm an album behind, though. Regina Spektor reminds me of her (sometimes--she's got more and less commercial tunes) and she's good live too--saw her at Bonnaroo a few years back. Damn I guess it was five years now:

Radiohead was there in 2012 and yeah they were great. Rodrigo y Gabriela was fantastic. Stevie Wonder was good as well. I also randomly listened to Temper Trap--I'd never heard of them before but they were great live. Actually everybody I saw at Bonnaroo the 3? (I think 3--2 or 3) times I went put on a solid performance. I didn't like all the music but everybody tends to do a good job. It's a shame I don't know anybody that still goes as a 3-day music festival isn't the type of thing you do solo.

I finished the main story thread of Batman Arkham Knight last night.
Have to say it was a bit anti-climatic.
Game says I'm at 61%. I have it digitally so I'll probably do some more now (having fun) of the sides and maybe get to more of it down the road. The Plat is a real PITA right? Or just a time sink?

I can't wait March Madness, The String Cheese Incident is going on tour:

March 10 - Grand Sierra Resort - Reno, NV
March 11-12 - Fox Theatre - Oakland, CA
March 13 - Arlington Theatre - Santa Barbara, CA
March 15-16 - The Observatory - San Diego, CA
March 17 - Shrine Expo Hall - Los Angeles, CA
March 18-20 - Brooklyn Bowl - Las Vegas, NV

I'm going to try to catch some of these shows.

the plats easy enough but it does take a while. it does require another playthrough (on ng+ / highest difficulty) and 100% of the riddler/side mission stuff if I remember right. the high difficulty playthrough isn't too bad (especially if you did it in other arkham games) but you'll die a lot at first as you get used to the new pace of the tank fights.

I remember it being more time-consuming than anything else. I don't think AK had any particularly annoying trophies.

Rodrigo y Gabriela doing the Metallica covers were fantastic. Here's a video from Red Rocks and still want to see a live show at this venue. It's one of the most beautiful places to experience live music from friends that have been.

I wish I'd seen the Talking Heads live in the Stop Making Sense era. That concert movie is soooo good.

It's on Amazon Prime Instant.

Well with Rogue being my 17th, should be easy enough to line up San Andreas to be my 20th plat. Or maybe I'll try to sandwich another game in between to make Vice City my 20th since it was my favorite.

You guys must have gotten lucky with that "precision shoot 5 vehicles in a row with the Batmobile" trophy then. I remember trying for that for a while and having no luck.

I know they covered Metallica but I don't remember which they did when I saw them. I like the covers but Diablo Rojo is still the tune that I most associate with them. I think it might have been the first song I heard of theirs.

They're just amazing. They do such a good job that it doesn't sound like there's only two musicians at all.

Oh I hadn't seen this one before:

I didn't get that trophy right away (maybe 10-15 minutes of retrying the first Batmobile tank challenge), but it wasn't that annoying.

I'm a lot further along in Fallout 4's main questline than I thought. Community Organizer trophy aside, I might be able to get the plat within a week.

That would be awesome, but I kind of doubt it'll happen considering my orders show the price for each game was manually discounted (UC4 shows $43.40, KH3 shows $40.99). If they had received a separate discount (e.g., UC4 showed $59.99 - $16.59 discount), then maybe there would have been a chance, but as is, since they're both under $47.99, I don't think we'll see anything more.

We can always hope, though.

#glasshalffull
My orders just have the flat amount with no manual discount so here's hoping.

I played that Captian America game too, couldn't be bothered to finish it though. Think I gave up somewhere after one of the Madam Viper fights. ?

Think I'll get Dragon-Ropa 2 from this sale. (do I need to play the 1st before hand?) and maybe Tearaway.

Regarding cheat codes for the GTAs:

My understanding is that they're fine for GTA3 (with the exception of making the trophy for getting a high title harder), but not OK for Vice City or San Andreas.  I didn't test that, though.  But it makes one of the hardest things in GTA3 really easy - the paramedic mission - since you can drive like much more recklessly and just spam the health code.

Good thing I checked my Uncharted order, because it had an old card as payment method. Updated it. Doubt I'll get the extra 20% off the $43.40 price, but we'll see....

Man, can you imagine if the Raiders end up moving to San Antonio?  All those crazy fans would probably stab themselves with their spikes.

I looked at the amazon email and the titled does say that my "recent" pre-order qualifies for the 20% prime discount: "Your Recent Pre-order Enjoys Prime Exclusive Savings". The only pre-order I have is for Uncharted 4. So that makes me hopeful that I'm going to see the discount off the $43.40 price.

I'd be OK with winning $2 million or $1 million. No news coverage.
1. Buy your ticket in a state that doesn't require you to come forward.

"The best thing a person can do is buy a ticket in one of the six states that don't require you to come forward," Marty King, partner with law firm Gorman & Williams in Maryland, told TODAY. "That means you won't have to go to the press conference with the big oversized check and show your face." Those states are Delaware, Kansas, Maryland, North Dakota, Ohio and South Carolina. If you live near one of these states, King recommends crossing the border to buy your ticket because the rules apply depending on where you buy it, not where you live.
