PSNOT 3.0 - Let's Talk About University of Kentucky, Baby!

My brother-in-law is getting an MRI today. It was about 5 years ago he had surgery to remove a cancerous tumor in his brain. Last month he had a seizure and we are all worried the MRI is going to show that the cancer has returned. Thoughts and prayers and such. He's a great guy and doesn't deserve this shit. He's younger than me too. 45. Married with two boys.
Will do. I hope you hear good news.

Lots of great movies in the 80s. Heck, just Blade Runner, Empire Strikes Back, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Back to the Future, etc. Stotch is nuts.

well I had no idea severed was a first person dungeon crawler.

consistency is really important if you're having trouble feeling sleepy - going to bed near the same time and getting up at the same time every day (i.e. no sleeping in on the weekends) makes a big difference. if you find that you're still off kilter after fixing that, try shooting for 6 hours of sleep instead of more - some fancy scientists believe that rem sleep cycles run in 3 hour spans so you'll generally feel better rested when you wake up even after sleeping just 3 hours than you would if you had 7 (but of course you'll crash in the middle of the day on 3 hours of sleep). the 3 hour thing isn't timed to the minute so 6.5 shouldn't be that far off, you just don't want to get interrupted by an alarm in the middle of a cycle.

my wife has actually started getting up with me at 5am so she can go to yoga while I sit on my ass and play hot shots golf and she's been feeling a lot less tired than when she slept until 7am or later. we'll see if that sticks though.

Yeah, my problem is feeling too sleepy. It probably also doesn't help that I've been waking up at 4:30 to turn the heater on in the bathroom and laying back down until 5.

Plus, with my gaming time, sometimes I just quit because I'm sleepy and not because I'm ready too. I'll probably end up playing more by just going to bed and getting up my normal time on weekends. I won't have to stop unless a kid wakes up or something.

Severed looks great visually, not surprisingly. Not sure about the gameplay, but they certainly got it right in Guac. Hopefully it's a Plus title at launch!

just saw this in the awd thread, thought I'd post it as a reference for future Sony sales.

Speaking of Fallout 4, is there is a certain point I should tackle the "Taking Independence" quest for the Minutemen? I thought I read that if you do it too early (I'm level 18) it could mess up other quests.

Where did you read that? The trophy guide I linked to doesn't mention any issues with that quest, just that the last Minutemen-related trophy is for completing Old Guns (the quest after Taking Independence).

In Fallout 4, someone can die during one of the Railroad quests. And then if you still have the Brotherhood quests open, you get a mission to kill that person. The game doesn't recognize they died so you can't finish the mission. I had to go back quite a few saves to where that Railroad person was still alive in order to finish the Brotherhood and get around the issue.

I really wanna like Severed because Guacamelee was fantastic.  But I'm weary about the touchscreen slash shit like everyone else.

Guac cred is gonna get these guys lots of sales.  Lets hope they surprise us with a good game.

Can do it whenever, it will actually get you 1 of the 5 behemoth kills you need for a trophy too.

Might wanna wait until you got a fat man though.

Apparently a shitload of people gathered outside the 7-11 that sold one of the winning Powerball tickets last night to "celebrate."

Celebrate what dumbasses?  You think the person that one is just gonna show up and start showering you with the money he doesn't have yet or let you rob them?  I mean.....

Yeah those idiots were chanting "Chino Hills" like this was something the community did. Its a fuck ing lottery you idiots. The store will get some money and the winner will get a shit ton and you people get nothing unless your really good friends with the person.

I won $4. I didn't see anybody celebrating at the 7-11 where I bought it this morning, so I guess it's safe for me to cash it in and get a slurpee.

I bet the people in chino hills were like 'I read on facebook that we each get $4,000,000 if whoever won it just splits it with every american citizen'

One place where they were celebrating it was legit, though. Because the owner of the place (was it a 7-11?) which sold the ticket said they were going to give the million dollars they were receiving toward scholarships for needy kids in the community or something like that. Heard that on the radio this morning.

So the Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen port to PC is apparently very, very solid. I wonder if they'll re-port it back to consoles for current gen now.

They still haven't given any indication as to the price of this, huh? Come to think of it, I also don't know what you actually do in the game. Just walk around and trace little maze-board things?
It's inspired by Myst so yeah I think it's that kind of thing. Myst wasn't open-world and this is, though, to my understanding.

I just watched Die Hard for the first time two weeks ago. I stand by my claim that nearly all movies made in the 80s are garbage.
Stotch meet Tyler's fridge! :fridge:

Sorry to hear that, hope it turns out well. Thoughts and prayers.

Yo Vig,

Internet issues for the lady prevented us from finishing the last course, so I won't be able to do the Portal 2 co-op Calibration course till next week sometime, probably Tuesday at the earliest.  Hold strong brother man!

Speaking of Portal 2, does no one else here need a Steam code for it? If not, I can give it out elsewhere.

FYI, I forgot to bring it to work with me, so I wouldn't be able to PM the code until 5:30pm-ish EST.

Apparently you can ask Siri to beatbox for you. In case you're bored.

Also someone should stream. Cause I'm bored.
I wish I was bored. I hate this time of year. Lots of work to do, but nothing constructive. Just dumb development plans and objectives setting for myself and my team. And its all just bull shit. Nothing meaningful because we never get the budget to fix anything. And just having to manage people again...blech. I just have no desire to manage anyone anymore. I want to be responsible for myself only. Makes work SOOOO much easier when I dont have to worry about what little Johnny or little Sarah will fuck up today.

I swear that about 99.5% of corporate America is stuck in a meeting somewhere. The best is when there are meetings about the meeting you just had. The talking in circles bullshit is annoying as hell. If people actually just did some work we'd all be better off. Not sure what any of these people would do all day though.
